Since I’m finally following through on some of the recommendations that y’all have made in the way of TV shows, CD’s, etc., I can now wholeheartedly recommend four words for you to commit to memory before you embark on your next Target, Walmart, Family Christian, Amazon, WHEREVER shopping spree:
GLORY! :-)
Addie recommended it to me months ago, and honestly, it’s the best CD I’ve heard in a long time.
GIT IT. GIT IT RIGHT NOW.

I’m not so much into buying CD’s but more of downloading them. But can you recommend some tracks off the CD for me? I SO need some new tunes on my iPOD!!
Okay – my top four: “A Grateful People,” “Light of the World,” “Glory of Your Name,” “Captivate Us.” And you’ll hear those four – and end up downloading the rest of the CD. It’s THAT good. :-)
Boo – Yea! I’m soooo glad you like it! Watermark is one of my all time faves! I think I know why you like “A Grateful People”. Could it be the Tomlin factor? ;-) (Have you ever mentioned how much you like him?)
You know I was thinking about you yesterday, as we were on our way to The Great Wolf Lodge for our little family getaway. We were listening to David Crowder Band’s “A Collision” and I realized how much bluegrass inspired praise he had on that album. I just thought, hmm, I wonder if I should have recommended this to her when she asked. It’s not the same style as Watermark at all, so I don’t know if you would like it, but I LOVE Crowder. So for what it’s worth…..
Theresa – Boo’s right, they are all fabulous. I would recommend all of the ones she mentioned above, plus “Knees to the Earth” and “Purest Place”. And then I think anyone who’s had a miscarriage should listen to “Glory Baby”. It’s just a beautiful way to look at things.
Sorry for the post here, but you’re talking about one of my favorite topics! :D
“Knees to the Earth” almost went on the list. And the other two are beautiful as well. And I know so many people who love David Crowder, but I’ve never taken time to investigate. But I will now.
You know what I like about “Grateful People” the most? The key change in the chorus. LOVE her voice. LOVE IT. But Tomlin doesn’t hurt. :-) And I just emailed our worship minister and told him that if he and his wife will sing it, I’ll cook breakfast for the praise team one Sunday. Because bribing worship leaders is fun. :-)
I heard them interviewed on AFR sharing how their friend Louie Giglio named their group “Watermark”. I can’t remember the whole story but I remember loving it. Anybody know?
Thanks for the recommendations! I’ll be downloading tonight!!
Addie – I’ll have to add ‘Glory Baby’ to the least based on what you said. Tks!
