Most of y’all know that my friend Lea Margaret’s little boy had open heart surgery today. Here’s the update from her:
“Mac had his surgery today. He is doing great for a little fellow who has just had open heart surgery. The doctor said that he did great in the O.R. They did not have to give him any blood, which we were glad about, they just circulated his own blood and they only had to stop his heart for about 8 minutes. There was only 1 hole (for a time we thought there might be 2), and it was about 1/2” in size. We got to see him at 6:30 for about 15 minutes. When we got back from supper he was awake and the first thing that he said to us, in this sweet, little weak voice was, “I did it!” What a trooper!
C. and I are staying with him tonight in ICU. He will probably go to a room in the morning.
Thank you for your continuous prayers for Mac. We appreciate it so very much.”
I don’t know about y’all, but everytime I think about Mac, who is 2 1/2, saying, “I did it!” – the tears flow. So precious.

Oh my gosh, I’m bawling! For real! Poor lil’ guy. That really ripped my mommy heart out.
All right!! That is awesome :) We will be praying for a quick recovery for him, and rest for everyone else.

Wooo Hooo!! Praise the Lord, all ye people!! I’m so happy for LM and C and little Mac. Bless his little heart, literally. He’s so tiny to be going through such a tough time, and I can’t even begin to imagine what his Mom and Dad are feeling.
“I did it!”…That just made MY heart melt in my chest. So brave, God love him. :-)
It brought tears to my eyes. I have been praying all day and will keep praying as I fall asleep. God is so Good, in his maraculous and mighty Healing powers.
May the Lord be with this little guy tonight.

What a brave little man. So encouraging to hear all went well. Our little Addison is facing this, possibly within days, and she’s only two months old, so it’s a blessing to hear how well it all went for little Mac. Obviously, the shower of prayers we’ve all poured over this family landed with grace.
So glad he’s through. And thank God for modern technology that they can even do surgeries like this on someone so small and precious. What a blessing!
Brave indeed! He should make us all a little more thankful for the little things we have. Such a trooper.
Wonderful news. His first comment when he came out – priceless. And yes, a huge encouragement to our family right now. Addison’s a bit small to yell anything out, but we all sure can. We’ll keep praying as he recovers.

Great news! Just talked to BooMama, and she’s gotten word from Lea Margaret that Mac was discharged from the hostpital yesterday (Sunday), a mere 48 hours after open heart surgery. He is a real trooper!
I saw Mac last night in Hollandale – he looks perfect – I am so proud of him and his family — God is so GOOD
