Busy Moms Book Club

Sweet Holly emailed me a few days ago to tell me about the Busy Moms Book Club that Lisa Whelchel has started over at her website. The first selection is Liz Curtis Higgs’ Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible, and you can find all the info here.

I would write more, but I need to get back to napping.

Happy Sunday, y’all.

  1. Busy Mom’s book club sounds good. Too bad it’s not a book I’ve already read.

    That would be too easy.

  2. Does this mean no “Peace Like a River”?

  3. Oh, I think we should still do Peace Like A River…I just thought some people who weren’t going to do that one might be interested in Lisa’s thing. And by Lisa, of course, I mean Blair.

  4. This comment is completley unrelated to this post but I had to let you know.

After all, you are the blog queen and I know you can get the word out there.

A special family needs you to get the word out on their situation right now. It’s the Adams family. More specifically, their daughter. Her name is Ashley and she is one of the strongest kids I’ve ever seen.

She’s only two and has already battled an organ transplant, cancer, and months upon months of hospital stays. Now, she is currently battling rejection of her precious organs, right on the anniversary of her transplant.

    Here is her website: http://ashleyadamsjournal.blogspot.com

So sorry to leave this post here. Just trying to get the word out there to all who will listen.

Her family needs all the support they can get during this very difficult time.

  5. I’m going to do both! My copy of “Peace like a River” just came in at the library…isn’t that fun? I can find Peace at the library :) I’m needin’ some peace for sure!

I think you’re SWEET, too! And fun, which makes you extra sweet!
    Love ya!

  6. Thanks for the head’s up about the book club and about Ashley. I’ve been keeping up with her story for a few days now. Dear Lord, bring them comfort and healing!

  7. sounds good! i was gone a while but now i’m back with my honest weight loss journal. check it out if anyone else out there needs support! onepoundatatime.wordpress.com

  8. Oh, my STARS that book was so good … I loved it so much that I used it as a bible stufy for the girls in my youth group! If you do it, you’ll love it … if you don’t do it … read the book anyway!
