And You Thought I’d Forgotten

So. Remember this?

beforeafter

Well, now it’s this:

beforeafter

I know. I KNOW. I’m two months late to my own dadgum party. But, you know, I’ve been very busy procrastinating.

And seriously – summer just turned out to be way crazier than I anticipated. Crazier in a good way, mind you, but not necessarily in a way that lent itself to tackling home improvement projects.

You should also know that my list-o-goals is now MUCH smaller. I’m shooting to have my bedroom painted, THE END.

If you’d like to grab a new button for your blog, you can do that right here:

Big fun in store.

And thanks for being so patient, y’all.

For real(s).

  1. yippy skippy! That’s my birthday! I have a porch to get after. Talk to ya later. (cartoon effect here of that fast run….zzzhhhroooom)

  2. HAHAHA!!!
ONE goal doesn’t constitute a list.
    Not at all.

  3. Great, so with the kiddos in school & now this accountability ~~ I guess I really better get my rear in gear!

  4. Joy of Joys, my husband is working a 12 hour shift that day and my calender is free. I am SO in on this party!

However, I’m a little shaky on the theme: Before and After what?

  5. As I finished up painting Drew’s room this afternoon, the thought of this little party popped in my head. How random that you read my thoughts!

  6. Wait…I put the button on my own blog and (crazy me) CLICKED it and WOW! Now I know what the party is all about. How fortuitous because we are just preparing to Paint our entire house!

Just one more question. Do we sign up on the June Mr. Linky or are you going to put up a new one?

  7. Oh yeah….I forgot about this!

Does putting away the dishes count?
    How about the laundry?

    Alright, alright, I’m on a REAL project. : )

  8. I’m so glad I’m in good company with a bunch of procrastinators. I’m so relieved you extended it out. I should for sure have my garage clean and clear by then…but if you must delay again, I shant shed a tear.

  9. Oh good! I’m glad you are still doing it. I thought about asking, but then who wants to be reminded of their own procrastination?!?

That day is my G-ma’s 80th birthday…and in her day, she was quite the task ticker offer…this will be a great way to celebrate!

  10. Does it count if someone else does the work for me? Being on bedrest, I can’t do my nesting on my own, but I’m very good at directing little worker bees that come over to help. You should see me point, move furniture, and sort clothes, all from the comfort of my left side on my bed.

  11. Got it! I have already organized my spice cabinet…I know, riveting stuff. I may even be able to paint my sparest of spare rooms before then…we shall see. Stay tuned!

    Praying for you…

  12. have been a blog stalker of my daughter’s former Sunday School teacher for several months. From that blog, I discovered many others, some from the town in which I live and many from different parts of the state and even other states. I have enjoyed reading the blogs, even if I didn’t know the author. It was interesting to read of remodeled homes, to relive the experiences of mother’s of young children and, in some cases, to share the pain of loss or illnesses of loved ones. Such are the joys of the internet. Another joy of the internet has been reconnecting with old friends from my original hometown, Amarillo Texas and my graduating class (Tascosa HS 1970).
Today, I come out of the background to request your prayers for the son of someone who I have known since elementary school. Marshi’s 24 year old son, Brian Lair was diagnosed with a brain tumor on July 23. He had his first surgery in Dallas on August 7 and although the doctors were unable to completely remove the tumor, the prognosis was optimistic. On August 25, he had to return to the Dallas hospital because his incision had become infested. A second surgery was completed on August 28. On September 2, I received an email from his mom, explaining that Brian was still fighting the infection, with high temperatures, etc. The diagnosis, treatment, and his relationship with God are all detailed on his blog: http://brianlair.blogspot.com.
He really needs all the prayers anyone can muster. Please keep Brian in your thoughts and prayers and spread the word.
    Thank you,
    Chan Roark, Dothan AL

  13. Miss Boo Mama!

I finally! listened to your interview on Behind The Blog- I’ve liked you for a while, downright adore you now!

Awesome tips and overall interview. : )

Can you tell I’m seriously behind on life? lol. That interview was basically, when God called light into being? Correct? lol.

Just wanted to tell you I loved it.

  14. Does a before and after of plucking my eyebrows count? I’m trying to be REAListic right along with you.

  15. I was painting on Friday morning (when I should have been packing for our weekend camping trip!) to be done in time! I failed miserably, so having these extra days is perfect!

  16. Wow, I finally figured out how to paste a button on to my blog…does that count? My next goal is to figure out how to get my header back.

    And redecorating my bedroom.

  17. A due date on MY birthday!? Ugggh.

  18. Sounds like a great party, I’m in!

  19. I have been putting off doing my back porch. It’s a great area that is just used as a catch-all right now. I would love for it to be a place we use as a family. It’s screened in and would be a nice place to hang out this fall. Reading this has given me the motivation to get on it. I am going to TRY my hardest to get it done by the 26th. Thanks for the kick in the seat of the pants!! :)

  20. Oh, it is ON now. I’m so glad I have a deadline. Otherwise, the Great Home Office Project would linger on and on and on and on. I’m looking forward!

  21. Signing up for this, whatever this is. :o)

Maybe it’s before and after Crumbs. Staying tuned…..

    Take care,
    Amy

  22. On another note… I could almost swear… SWEAR, I tell you — on a stack of dark chocolate bliss bars (or Dove) that I saw the camera pan on a woman that looked remarkably like you at the convention last night.

My heart stopped beating for one brief moment at the thought that I might know someone that I saw on TV, even though I’ve never met them face to face… yet. then I thought… nah. It’s not her. No way. Is it???

  23. So happy to see the new button. And so happy you had this – my office is painted now and I know that it wouldn’t have been if you hadn’t.

  24. oh yes. i have to admit i did think you had forgotten. and since i’ve done most of my list, i’m excited it’s back on.
now i must be motivated to finish it out. thanks :)

  25. Jennifer Casey says:

I was thinking you should have posted a before of the laundry room/Costco tower and called it done (even if it was by hubby while you were gone). But that’s just the real procrastinator in me trying to help…

  26. Okay, well, here’s the deal: I rushed to finish a few things before Labor Day and then wrote my “After” post. It’s just waiting for me to hit Publish. Don’t think that because you extended the deadline, I’m going to do MORE work on the basement. Uh-UH. That post will have to be my final “After,” like it or not. :)

  27. totally in…just as soon as i figure out how to get this button to my blog!!!

  28. thanks for bringing this back… my husband will be home for R&R on Sept 27 and our master bedroom (especially the closet and the bathroom) need some serious lovin’ before that day! This should motivate me to get it done!

  29. dadgummit! now I must clean out my stinkin’ garage. I’m putting your lovely button on my blog for accountability.

….tryin to decide whether to actually hit “submit comment” or continue eating M&M’s and pretend I never saw this post…

    *sigh*
