Well, our little podcast and Sally O’Malley have something in common.
This is our 50th episode, only I didn’t even realize it until Alex mentioned it to me right before we started recording, and then I forgot to say anything to Melanie until about 2/3 of the way through the podcast.
So clearly we’ve planned an enormous celebration.
We did make a very impromptu (and somewhat unorganized) decision to do some special giveaways, though, and you’ll find out the what and the how if you listen to the podcast. You can enter on my blog and Melanie’s blog; there will be four winners total.
And somehow, considering that this is our 50th podcast, it seems fitting that the content is absolutely all over the place. YOU SHOULD EXPECT NO LESS. We talk about Mabel and Piper’s trip to the Pawderosa Ranch, my many hair-related insecurities, the wonder that is Apple Music, my Power Ballad Mix Tape playlist, our enthusiasm for Top 40 radio, and so much more.

Okay, so in the last few weeks, I have binge-listened to all 50 podcasts. In recent days, I have been rationing them so as to delay the inevitable finish line. Thankfully, unlike when I finished binge-watching The Gilmore Girls, I have hope of more to come. Today’s was the first one I listened to in ‘real time’, and I had to keep reminding myself that it is now present day. I absolutely adore you both, (I’m copying and pasting the same comment on both blogs) and in my mind, we are now best of friends. I’m in the same age range, and I share your regard for Amy Grant and my older sister and I could easily still belt ‘Angels Watching Over Me’, especially if we were in a car with our other eight siblings like back in the day. Oh, and I have vivid, dear memories of that time in college when my friends and I got front-row seats for Vince Gill – I have the photos to prove ‘HE IS LOOKING RIGHT AT ME!!’. It was awesome. Anyway, I would love to receive your books, and I look forward to the next podcast. But no pressure! Seriously, if you never do another, I get it. If you do, though, just know, that I will be locking myself in my office and pressing pause every time a child approaches, so as to not miss a word. :) Happy 4th!

OK. So I started listening to the podcast at home and finished on my way to a VBS meeting at my church. The giveaway discussion was awesome, and I will admit that my dogs, at least my oldest one, is far more neurotic than my child at least appears to be at age three. Oh, and they ARE JUST PRECIOUS. You can’t help be want to comfort them when their anxious.

Sophie – I wanted to let you know that I use frankincense on my face. The smell is something to get use to…however, it dissipates after a few minutes and I can’t smell it. I purchase my oils from Plant Therapy. They are not terribly expensive. It really helps the age spots on my cheeks :).

New listener, and blog reader here. Recently found the podcast through Melanie’s guest spot on the Jamie Ivery podcast! I binge listened at work, and finished all episodes within 2 weeks! I know, I know I have an illness. : ) I laugh out loud, while getting crazy looks form co-workers, wishing that I could just hang out with you in real life! Guess the podcast will have to do. I will continue to listen as I imagine we are hanging out and laughing!

First, I really, really need you to find that Kim Z wig, side pony tail and all, and just wear it for a picture! It would be a gift to us all!
