As you can imagine, Melanie and I were delighted to have our good friend Travis Cottrell join us on Episode 98. We catch up on life in general – what’s been going on with our kids, spring sports, Travis’ feelings about the reboot of American Idol – and we also talk a little about Travis’ FANTASTIC new worship album, The Reason.
More than anything else, though, we enjoyed the fire out of a discussion about music from the 70s and 80s. It was a musical memory lane to beat the band (see what I did there)? It was so in-depth, in fact, that I finally decided to make a playlist of (almost) everything we mentioned (WHY isn’t “And When She Danced” from Stealing Home available on any sort of streaming service, I ask you?).
All that to say: we had a blast talking with Travis – so much so that there will be a part 2 posted in the next few days. Hope y’all enjoy it!
You can click here to listen. Or here. You can even listen right here on the blog.
You can also listen on Stitcher or Google Play.
And if you’re on the Facebook, well, we are, too.
We’d love for you to subscribe on iTunes, and we’d be honored if you’d leave us a review.
Here’s where you can get more info on the stuff / products / places we mention:

What?! No Eagles on that list??
As much as I loved going down memory lane, music-wise, I must admit I sure do miss reading stories about your life/family/work like you used to post. I’ve taken to reading through your archives :)
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for having Travis on again (and upcoming again!). While I LOVE listening to you and Melanie, Travis warms my heart. Once again, you have made my day!
I need a link to travis’s Coffee machine!
I agree with the above comment. Can you tell us what coffee machine the Cottrells use, please?
