The Big Boo Cast, Episode 152

On this episode we chronicle Melanie’s recent football heartache, we talk about our upcoming trip to Amarillo, and we break down some thoughts about the fact that the leopard print trend has arrived with authority and apparently intends to stay.

We also talk about the difficulty of persuading our eyes to wake up in the mornings, along with some potions and salves that are bringing Melanie some real hope. And in what might be one of my favorite topics ever, we dig into an offhand comment where Melanie reveals that the Shankles own an extra set of tires. COLOR ME FASCINATED.

Enjoy, y’all!

  1. I am so tickled about Perry and his friend and their flashlights. My husband is the EXACT same. One of his friends quietly confided in me that he wasn’t as in to flashlights as Alan and said honestly, I don’t need anymore and he keeps giving me one every time he sees me. Also, I work in the cotton industry and our give-aways at safety seminars are flashlights – 9 out of 10 years. My husband even keeps one of the huge D-cell flashlights by his bed to use as a dual weapon – he can illuminate and then strike them in an instant!

  2. Hi there Sophie! When you talked about buying Jo Malone cologne on the podcast, it made me think of this and I wanted to share. Did you know Volcano came in a cologne spray?
    Interesting – I may go check it out . . . -Anna

  3. So, I don’t know if this is a question for THIS podcast or the one on Patreon, but…

When you travel, do you take ALL of your skin care potions? Or do you have a scaled-back version?

I feel like I have become SO HIGH MAINTENANCE since actually taking care of my skin and using “all the things!” Packing my cosmetic bag feels like I need a travel-sized suitcase instead.
