This week Melanie and I talk through a wrap-up of our Christmas festivities, and we even (unexpectedly) discuss some low-level goals for 2023. We also talk about our current writing frustrations, and I share about an exciting new habit I developed in 2022. Except that it’s not really exciting. But yay for new habits!
You can rest assured that we break down everything we’ve watched this past week – we have definitely put in some time in front of the television – and it’s my turn for Five Favorites.
Hope y’all enjoy!

On this episode you two talked about the fact that you’ve never watched It’s a Wonderful Life. I’m not here about that, but I know The Blind Side is also in that category. I just caught the last 10 minutes of The Blind Side on television — a movie I’ve probably seen a half dozen times or more — and it inspired me to leave you a comment. Now, I know I don’t know you personally, but I’ve listened to yours and Melanie’s podcast for a sweet forever (way back when it was a monthly-ish surprise when one showed up in my feed) and hear me when I tell you that YOU WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE. It is sweet and sad and moving and heartfelt and features FOOTBALL. And if you like Sandra Bullock or Kathy Bates even the tiniest amount you will LOVE them in this movie. It is the best kind of story about kindness and compassion for our fellow humans. It moves me every. single. time. I watch it. I promise you will love it.
