Tonight we have had Emma Kate’s nephew at our house…he is just about a year and a half now, and oh. The cuteness. Too much to take in at once.
Anyway, Emma Kate and her sister made some extra special Father’s Day plans for their daddy, and while they’re celebrating in Atlanta, we have had a big time here in our neck of the woods.
EK’s nephew is just like Alex was at the same age: a CHUNK OF LOVE. And I just hope his mama and daddy don’t mind when they pick him up and find large sections of his legs and cheeks worn away from ALL THE SUGAR his Aunt BooMama has given him. He is adorable. And Alex loved him on sight.
After supper D. looked at me when the two boys were giggling and running through the living room and he said, “So, does this make you want another baby?”
To answer: YES. In fact, I think I actually felt my ovaries quiver at a couple of points in the evening, so strong was my baby fever.
Needless to say, it’s been a fun night. And two tired little boys are sound asleep upstairs after much running and playing. And squealing.
But I may have to sneak upstairs and squeeze those little legs ONE MORE TIME before EK’s sister gets here.
Hope everybody had a wonderful Father’s Day!

Oh, those baby legs are just to wonderful! Go nuzzle ’em real quick! They’re to yummy!
Precious and funny, all at the same time, as usual.
I’m shocked and amazed — no photos! Is he still there? Is it too late? It’s been twenty-two since Rob took me to the vet and had me spayed and still, STILL, I have occasional bouts of baby fever. It never goes away.
I did take pictures of him – but I didn’t post them because I didn’t ask his parents if I could. But trust me – he is PRECIOUS. :-)
Okay, this is just making me want to hurry up and get to Seattle to see my twin niece and nephew LIKE RIGHT NOW!!
Except my ovaries totally withdraw after a few days with the twins. They’re like, “We are NOT doing two at once – even one feels like more than we can manage right now.”
EK and her sister sound like loads of fun!
I love it…your “ovaries are quivering” I go thru that about one a month but I’m not sure it’s baby fever? :)
Glad you had fun, and go on girl, get A. a lil’ brother or sister like he’s always wanted!!
I am just so excited at the thought of a little BooBaby for BooMama. DO IT! I mean well not do it, I mean oh nevermind.
I spent the afternoon yesterday with 7 of my 8 great nephews/nieces, all four and under. The latest little darling, the only girl is 11 days old. Awwwwwwwwwwwww! Even my ancient ovaries quivered.
Everytime I take my mother to the doctors, there is someone ready to go home with a new baby. Makes my “ovaries quiver” every. single. time.
Your ovaries quivered!!! How cool is that?!! Baby fever is a strong thing!!!
Oh yes!! I can testify to the fact that my nephew is a chunk of pure love. Big fluffy rolls for days!! Boomama, you were so great to watch him. I told Sister it would be just like staying with Aunt Katie!! I’m sure she wouldn’t mind you sharing his preciousness with everyone via. pictures!!!
I think you better get right on that baby thing!!
