Ask And It Shall Be Given Unto You

Someone mentioned in the comments yesterday that I should put up some links to old posts for the people who recently started reading my blog.

I for one think it’s an absolutely brilliant idea because frankly all I can think of to say right now is “The Office comes on tonight! The Office comes on tonight!” And I can only think of about five of you who would want to read that. As opposed to, you know, the eight of you who want to go back through my blog archives.

AHEM.

So without further rambliness, I give you:

So A Vase Walks Into A Bar…

In Which I Am Resolved

Okay. This Is Definitely Going To Be The End. Really. I Think. (you might want to read this post first)

He Giveth

How’d They Get So Smart

If It Weren’t My Life, I Wouldn’t Believe It, Either

I Shoot, I Score!

I’m Posting This, Running From The Computer, And Never Looking Back

At Least I Didn’t Call It “Giggles, Grins & Unicorns”

Finally: In Which I Make My Mama Very, Very Proud (I always vow I will never link to this post again. And then I link to it. It’s a sickness, really.)

Have a great Thursday, everybody!

  1. I LOVE The Office – almost as much as I love your blog! I spent a little bit of every day watching clips on Youtube.

  2. Oh yes! My TiVo is set to record every episode of the Office! Even if I do sometimes watch entire episodes peeking through my fingers in embarrassment for the characters. :-)

  3. The Office is one of my favorite shows! Jim and Pam slay me with their adorableness! But I like Karen, too….what’s a girl to do?!

  4. Are the links working for y’all? They are for me – but I’m troubleshooting for someone who’s having trouble.

  5. Never seen it … hmmmm….. Is it better than “House”? I may need to peek in tonight :)

  6. Oh.My.Word. I spend the entire week waiting for The Office to come on. I TiVo episodes and then watch them over and over while waiting to watch and record the new one. It is truly the best television that there is right now. And I heart Jim.

And to think, you didn’t even ask for all of that!

  7. #1 Love. the. office.

#2 I also can’t get the links to work.

  8. coming out of lurkdom to say that i am also the number one fan of “the office.” anyone who has worked in an office setting probably does love it. :)
back to read your archives…(since i’m a new reader).

  9. I LOVE THE OFFICE, TOO! And, I love your blog! I’ll be checking out the posts… thanks!

  10. Can I tell you one of my favorite posts? It was about being “all eaten up inside” and self-diagnosing medical conditions. I found it shortly after I started reading and was going through your archives. I cracked up again just writing this out.

  11. O M GOSH BOOMAMA i skipped to the end and read how you made your momma proud…I am literally wiping tears and blowing my nose from laughing SO HARD :) I swear girl write a book PLEASE :) xoxo melzie

  12. Ok the best of link, all those links link right back to this post…know what I mean? :) xoxo melzie

  13. Links working fine for me, BM. I just loved re-reading these. I cried with laughter all over again!

  14. Well, I was feeling pretty good, all caught up on reading my fav’s, no little red dot on my Bloglines, ready to go and tackle that thing called My Real Life and NOW you go and tempt me with a list of Oldies but Goodies to re-read. First I thought, “Oh, it’s okay, I’ve already read these.” And then, “That one was hilarious! Maybe I can read just one?” And here I sit… still.

The links are working over here, though… are you still having problems?

  15. I just added you to my links list. I only began reading your blog recently and each time…I smile.

Now that’s the kind of blog I want to share with everyone. :)

  16. I am also very excited about The Office. As I have said before, it will be/is the next great cult phenom after Seinfeld. Classic from day one. Enjoy the tube!

  17. Nothing funny til May????

    HA!

  18. Catherine says:

Boo-I just read the post, “In which I make my mama very, very proud,” and Shawn and I are absolutely doubled over laughing!! Great story! I’m sure I’ll be laughing about it all weekend. Thanks for sharing! By the way, which book are you reading? I’m almost finished with The Poisonwood Bible–OUTSTANDING!!

  19. These posts are a great representation of why your name was all over the “Share The Love” Blog Awards. You are hysterical and such a gifted writer. You have me laughing, tearing up and laughing all over again. It was fun to see a couple of posts I had never read before!

  20. Your mama and in-laws crack me up! It always makes me wonder about your wedding day. Was it just too funny? What did Martha and Sissy wear? Was there any scandal when you of your friends didn’t wear pantyhose?

My fav is ALWAYS the pickle story. Great laughs lead to great marriages.

  21. I have had soooo much fun reading these links! Since I’m really just getting to know you, these have proven very helpful.

  22. You could post Mama and the Fish Camp weekly and it would never get old. It’s hilarious. Your mama may not necessarily think so, though.

I’ve read it several times. :-)

  23. I just thought that you should know that I was sitting here reading your blog and laughing histerically as usual, when my son, Jonathan asked me what I was doing. When I told him I was reading “Boomama”, he asked if that was like “GoDaddy” (.com)

  24. BooMama, you have had me crying and laughnig all in the same day! I was crying over your sweet little Alex and his friend Sidney, and then I read the story about Mama and the Fish Camp – and I about died, honest I did! I’m a southern gal transplanted to Canada, and so many of your tales of southern life and southern Mamas remind me of home. I enjoy you so much!

  25. If we can ask…I would love a file specifically for all of your Martha (and Sissie) stories. They are just too funny. I’m a Texas through and through but we spent 3 years in Charleston, SC and your caricatures could not be more spot on! I almost cry reading them!
