You have no idea how happy this picture makes D. and me:
LOOK AT THAT!
IT’S LIKE SCULPTURE!
Because in addition to the 5 for $11 Coke special, CVS also had Gain for $3.99 each.
Prices like these only come around once in a blue moon, y’all.
IT’S LIKE CHRISTMAS IN MAY.
(We’re so making another diet Coke run this afternoon.)
I just wish Sarah and Shannon lived closer so they could help me drink it all. Because I know a picture of a big stack o’ diet Coke makes them both a little weak in the knees.
And if you look very closely, you’ll see one lone diet Dr. Pepper 12-pack at the bottom of the stack – just in case I need to mix things up a little bit.
Finally, I’ve changed back to my old template temporarily while Laura tweaks a few things on the newer one and gets me upgraded to the latest version of WordPress. Everything should be back to normal in the next couple of days.
Of course, the term “normal” is always a little relative with me…after all, I do have NINETEEN TWELVE PACKS OF COLA BEVERAGE sitting in my foyer right now.
Hopefully we’ll make it an even two dozen by the end of the day.

Ahhh but only two of those are diet coke with lime;-) Check out mine lol It really is the little things that make me happy!

Okay, you have me convinced. I’m going to go get some Gain, right now! LOL
Hugs,
Melinda

SOOO happy for you! Where we live a case of Coke sets us back almost $9.00 CDN and so whenever we go somewhere civilized we fill up the back of the van with Coke and Diet Coke from Wal-Mart. :)
Our little liquidation store in town had Gain on 2/$7 a couple of weeks ago. Very exciting.
Wishing I lived near a CVS…
I was so jealous, I MADE Chris get on a plane and fly to Texas for some good CVS deals :)
Well, uh…really, he’s going to a friend’s wedding, but two bird with one stone is a good thing.
Enjoy your sippin’ times!
And you know what else? You can conceal more stuff (“stash and dash”, as FlyLady calls it!) behind the Diet Coke fortress in preparation for your company!
That is too funny…although I cannot get my self to buy more than 2 twelve packs at a time…it would be like admitting that I really have a problem. :)
Love it! So when we all come over to visit and have a party, you’ll have plenty of diet coke for us. Do you have the ice?
That is so cute! Although frankly, I would rather drink the gain than the diet coke! But that’s just me. I love getting good bargains!!
Aaaargh! My sister is SUCH a buzz kill. We had breakfast together this week and as I washed down my Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity with my THIRD glass of diet coke, she matter of factly states, “You know, they say that stuff brings on the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis.” Ugh. Wish she’d kept her mouth shut! (Of course, it didn’t stop me from consuming a FOURTH glass!!!) :-(
I’m so unbelievably jealous of that stack!
By showing us the picture of your stash of diet coke are you trying to tempt us into coming over and helping clean your house? If it works let me know. I live in Texas also and we could just do a clean sweep in Texas.
That is impressive.
So when should I come over to enjoy a glass of Diet Coke? I should so go get me some, especially considering CVS is about a whole 2 min. from me.
I went to my CVS and they didn’t have that special. The coke 12 packs were on sale, but it was still a little bit higher than yours… Anyway, I still bought some, because I was craving a coke after reading your blog last week!
I’m twitching a little here. I have ONE can of diet cherry Coke in the house. ONE. I just drank one can with my salad for lunch. Somehow with all the baby excitement I let myself run out of diet Cokes.
Dang it, why don’t we have a CVS nearby?? I could use that Gain, too!
Happy drinkin’ and washin’, S. :-)
You and Sister and the family have a great weekend, now. :-)
So, when I’m craving a DC and it’s so bad that the family is ready to tie me up adn toss me out?
I’ll come back here and worship the stack of DC goodness.
Preeeeeetty diet coke ….. preeeeeeeeeeetty……
Okay, I was just wondering if I was the only one who counted the number of cartons in the sculpture? My oh my Mama, please tell me that your kidneys get some water, too! Enjoy!
I didn’t inherit that gene. :)
xo,
Now that’s a LOT of caffeine!! Whoo-Hoo!
I think I just caught a glimpse of Heaven :)
Ok, there is an ABC news story here: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Weekend/story?id=3191903&page=1
and the headline was Woman Addicted To Diet Coke and I seriously expected to read about YOU! I thought it might be a joke and then talk about BooMama’s blog or something. But it’s real!
Steph
It looks like the Sears tower! Woohoo.
Thats a lot of Coke. Years ago I loved the original coke but when they changed the recipe (removed the forbidden ingredient) I lost interest. Actually it did change the flavor a great deal.
With a stack of coke and laundry soap like that you can just sit back and let the laundry do itself while you sip your beverage.
I think it goes perfectly in the foyer – fewer steps to travel when you actually need to drink it!
it’s a beautful sculpture. i would make my own but we have no cvs out here in the sticks.
Oh good! You bought some Diet Dr. Pepper for when I come to visit. I’m not so much a diet Coke fan.
But I’m wishing we had a CVS nearby if the dietDP was on sale too. :)
be sure to put a throw over it before your moms visit!
Oh, that you would place a stumbling block (a big flippin’ mega wall at that) in front of a recovering diet coke-a-holic. I need to go call my sponsor…..
Blessings,
~toni~
I have no idea where Sarah got her diet Coke gene – it certainly didn’t come from this aunt.
But oh.my.word. LOOK at all that Gain!
PS
Excuse me. Three of those boxes are turned in the wrong direction. It’s making me twitchy. Could you please fix that? ‘Cause I know I won’t sleep until they’re all the same. :-)
I can stop drinking diet Coke any time I want to.
Now that’s a lot of diet coke!!
Wow! That’s a lot of Diet Coke! How long will it last you? LOL About 5 months ago, I lost my taste for Diet Coke and haven’t had one since. Weird, huh?
I just tried the new Diet Coke Plus and you’ve got to try it! I think it tastes better and I’ve talked myself into feeling less guilty about drinking soda because it has minerals and vitamins!
That IS a work of art! makes my mouth water just looking at it. Well, not at the Gain, but the Diet cokes!
I have to be careful with my laundry soaps between cloth diapers needing special soaps and two of kids being allergic to certain brands, I just stick with Tide.
Oh. Must see if the sale is still running. This will really make me weep if I missed it. I do love me some diet coke.
