A List Is Really My Only Option

Several fun links I’ve been meaning to share:

1) Loop De Lou has some of the cutest paper products I have ever seen. And their website is oh-so-fun because it enables you to completely customize notecards, bag tags, calling cards, etc. before you order – all the way down to the design, colors, and fonts. You will love their products and their website – be sure to check it out.

2) If you need a cute (little) kids’ backpack for back-to-school or for overnight trips, this bit-o-linkage is for you. I saw these backpacks at A Honey of a Deal and just fell in love (okay. in like. in love would be a little weird.) with all the great designs and colors. Plus, you can have them monogrammed – which makes anything better, quite frankly.

Except for food. Monogramming does not necessarily enhance the taste or appearance of food.

3) Mandy at just a girl is asking some interesting questions about how much women may – or may not – fixate on their outer appearance. If you’d like to chime in on the discussion, click on over.

4) If you won a Monk & Neagle CD last week, don’t forget to make your sidebar all fancy with the handy bloggy button that you’ll find here. I know their record company will appreciate it. And if you post about their CD after you’ve had a chance to listen to it, let me know. I’d love to read your reactions!

5) Well. That is all. And I feel so much better now. Like I might be able to write an actual post with paragraphs or something.

Have a lovely Tuesday.

  1. I got one of the free Monk and Neagle CDs (thanks to you Boo Mama!) and I really love it. I got it today and have listened to it all day at work. I just put the link on my sidebar.

  2. Just so ya know… I couldn’t be more excited about my M&N cd–although I wasn’t able to figure out how to get into the locked mailbox at our new house today to see if it came yet. But I WILL be adding the lil button to my sidebar just as soon as I get my blog set up again in it’s new location. (Not sure I told you about the uber-scary internet thing that happened last week and forced me to completely shut down my blog for about five days… VERY icky and scary… I was more than ready to disappear from the blogosphere for good.) So, yeah, it’s not that I’m not into my cd. : It’s just that I’m moving, literally and bloggie-wise.

  3. Got my Monk and Neagle CD today. Thanks for your posting about it.

  4. Love the stationary! So cute and fun! I saved that site to go back to later.
How cute are those bags! We are out of the little backpack stage, but the lunch bags are so cute!!!! I have a 5 year old starting kindergarten (we go to a homeschool academy, so she will go to school 2 days a week and would be the hit of kindergarten with one of those lunch bags!!! I would like one for myself!). I liked the post over at “just a girl”. The Dove commerical is what I’ve been saying all along. Every young girl in America needs to watch that. My 8 year old knows you can’t believe what you see on TV and in commercials. I’ve spent time showing her how all that stuff is not real, it’s just fancy dress up! Thankfully, she thinks she’s beautiful, so the message is getting across.
As for Monk and Neagle. I did get my CD, but I couldn’t get it to work on my computer upstairs (I spent most of the day yesterday cleaning in our classroom and I couldn’t get it to play). But the first few seconds sounded great! I’ll let you know if it works in my car today!
Thanks for sharing the cool sites! You’re always a plethora of information!
    Blessings,
    Georgia Mom

  5. I got mine yesterday and love it. My fav is Twenty First Time but the soldier song makes my eyes well up…

Thanks again for the heads up.

  6. The Loop De Lou girls are from my area! I’m glad you found them! They are truly God-centered people! Also, the backpacks are huge in our town. The monogram just makes them! I can’t even count how many I’ve given as gifts! They’re great and the kids love them!

    Love,
    Sarah, TN

  7. Bossy loves lists. In fact she has at least twelve ignored lists right this second!

  8. We have the train backpack and love it. We used it all last year and it still looks like new.

  13. Just so you know, there is such a thing as monogrammed food. I bought my brother, the ultimate grill guy, a monogram for his steak. Really it’s a branding iron. He loves it. and is DOES make the steak taste better. ok, maybe not. but it LOOKS better. :)

  14. I got my CD and I just love it! You can check out my post about it at

Thanks so much for passing this on.

  15. I love my CD and just made a post giving it an A+ review (not that I know anything whatsoever about writing reviews…I just did my best)! It really is some awesome music, and the lyrics are exceptional.

  16. My CD came in the mail yesterday and I love it! Thank you! It’s already posted and linked on my site!

  17. I take issue with the monogram qualification: you don’t think pancakes taste better when the chef writes your initials in blueberries or chocolate chips? Seriously?

    :)

  18. How weird… I am a Loop De Lou sales rep. If you post about them again, feel free to tell them to put Jennifer as their rep whenever they place their order. It is the cutest stationery ever!

  19. Got it. Love it! Love you for helping me get it. I posted about it yesterday and the day I signed up for it. I’m passing the word around about it to my friends and family.

    Hugs!
    Kat

  20. Just got my CD in the mail yesterday—it is awesome! I love it!!! Monk & Neagle is a group I had not heard of before. My niece in Auburn, AL is interning as Worship Leader at a church somewhere in AL and I asked her about them and she has some of their stuff….says she loves them!!! I have passed it to a girl here at the office to listen to….just sharin’ His Love and His music! Thanks so much for getting the info out there!
    Have a blessed week!!!

  21. I got mine and love it so very much!

  22. I have been listening to my fabulous CD ever since it arrived. I was one of the lucky additional 80, and i feel very blessed to have gotten one! I did my very first album review on my blog, which was exciting in and of itself! check it out BooMama, i would be so honored to have you visit my blog!

  23. Thank you, BooMama! I got my Monk and Neagle cd in the mail on Monday, and immediately popped it in!! I have fallen in love a few of their songs; they really get to the heart of things! I emailed Mr. Peterson to “personally” thank him for the free cd. And the button has been on my sidebar since I knew I was getting it in the mail. Thanks again for linking to this special treat!
