I am now watching the Mississippi State / Alabama game for the FOURTH time.
Since Sunday.
Because seeing the game in person just wasn’t enough.
And much to my delight, we continue to win every single time I watch.
But this is IT. Really. I have to move on. I have to concentrate on our game against Arkansas this weekend. Not to mention that we have a basketball game against Clemson tomorrow night.
I need to FOCUS, dadgummit! FOCUS!
So I’ll only watch this play one more time. Just once more. Really.
Just one more time.
And then I will cook supper or clean or something.
Really.
I will.
As of today…..I’m headed to Little Rock on Saturday to watch the hogs get croomed in person. Should I take a cowbell?
I would say that you have enjoyed the victory…or are you just psyching yourself up to cheer on your team??? hmmm…
Being a hog fan(ish)if I watch the game(is it on tv? I did say -ish!) it will be through fingers over my eyes…very much like a trainwreck, you don’t want to watch it, but you can’t turn away!
Slight addiction?? That’s alright–the kids can have leftovers;)
You know that I live in Razorback country, don’t you? I like you a lot and all that, but this could get ugly, Sophie and Sister! ;o)
Yeah yeah yeah, just don’t rub it in.
But, no matter what happens, I will still be wearing my Razorback red.
Ok, because I love reading your blog so much and I think you are just the funniest thing out there……yes, I did it……I had to send Oprah a note to let her know about you!! =) I told her how important (because what would this world be without bloggers???) it would be for her to do a show on blogs and how absolutely funny you are! So….when you get the big call let me know! =)
But I also think all your readers should join in my Oprah movement, click on her website and tell her yourself about the BooMama and all your other favorite blogs!
I just watched THAT play again too before coming over to see what you were up to. I LOVED that picture of us at the game. OH! What a great day it was!
PS: I wish that You Tube would show the three plays leading up to that play. The defense was just magnificent.
Thank you for keeping that so I can just click on “here” to watch it! Theres so much stuff I love about that clip, but especially when they show a close up of the fans down at the bottom of the steps and the old (I better not say old, he may be my age) the Grey Haired gentlemen screaming like a banshee!
I’m with ya on the whole Alabama thing. But I must part ways and cheer for both Arkansas, where my parents both received their degrees, and Clemson where my in-laws went and currently live! Gotta keep peace in the family, you know.
Oh you are CRACKIN’ ME UP!
I’m right there with ya, Sis. :)
I love you and all Boomama, but can I get a “Woooooooo Pig Sooooooie……Woooooooo
Pig Soooooooie…….Woooooooo Pig Soooooie…..ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS!!!”
I feel better now. I’m sorry. I may live in TN, but I was born and raised in Ar-kansas. :)
Sorry… this has nothing to do with football… But are you and Janie just dying about the over 600 comments about the JJ????? Absolutely amazing. She obviously should have been on American Inventor! : )
I will always, always be a Razorback girl.
But if Arkansas loses, I’ll still be your friend. SMILE!
Wow. I’m a big football fan myself (Oklahoma, thankyouverymuch), but the only game I’ve watched more than once was the 2000 national championship because they played it over and over at the Walmart I worked at.
It’s just pure greatness.
Boo mama , keep on watching it. It was sweet! So sweet..
Living in Alabama amongst some of the biggest Bama fans in the world – or so they tell me – I was forced to watch the game. I actually loathe football but I will watch for the family… taking one for the team and all.
That particular play was sheer brilliance, was it not?! I was impressed and even cheered a little… until I realized I was happy for the *wrong team*! Yikes!! Talk about your family conflict!!!
Needless to say the mirrors are still covered and certain family members who shall remain nameless are still wearing black. The ‘Sabin Era’ isn’t the yellow brick road to SEC Championship History that the above mentioned family members thought it would be.
Oh well. Like I care. (Oops! Did I say that out loud?)
hee hee, how fun! It’s that time of year! Enjoy it!!!!
Well, it certainly deserves to be reveled.
Blessings,
K
I so wish that I could learn to have your enthusiasm for football! It would just bless my husband! :) I am still working on that one!
Where in the world did all these Arkansas fans come from (oh….I know…the backwoods…by a log!) LOL…sorry couldn’t resist.
I’m with you girlfriend! I love love love watching that vicotry.
When I say maroon….you say white!
Maroon!
You win EVERY time you watch? Wow, how amazing!!! (I’m happy for your win, really.)
GO MSU!
I know I cheer for a different MSU than you do – but hey – solidarity is Just Plain Nice!! :)
UGH. Enough already!!! Bein’ a huge fan of Bama…well, I’ve been in mourning all week.
Tomorrow, I’ll take off my black, trade it in for Crimson, leave S.C. and head to T-Town to cheer them on on Saturday.
Being the gracious southern woman my mother taught me to be…*deep breath*… congrats on your win last week Boo. :-(
Oh but that play was outstanding and worth watching repeatedly! The best MS State play EVER!
Hey BooMama! My step-mom, who talks the same way you do and also went to State, will be at the MSU/Ole Miss game Thanksgiving Weekend. If you’re going, you should look for her. I think y’all would be best friends!
Ok, so I’m a week late weighing in on this one, but I celebrated like nobody’s business last week! Our dearest friends are Bama fans, and it was sweet victory to have them over while we all watched the Dawgs beat Saban!! My new favorite “bible” verse: “Get thee behind me Saban” :)
Unfortunately, our basketball dawgs lost a tight game on Thursday night; and today, our football dawgs are praying for a miracle right now to beat Arkansas. Maybe the basketball game tonight will be good.
