All righty, internets – it’s time to have us a good, old-fashioned Dave Barnes giveaway.
Though I cannot actually give away Dave Barnes.
Because his wife would probably be a little upset with me. Not to mention that you would have a terribly difficult time explaining to your families why a grown man you have never in fact met is coming to live with you.
So the CD, I’m afraid, will have to do.
And the CD will actually do JUST FINE, THANK YOU MA’AM, because it is in fact delightful.
Here’s what you need to do if you’d like to win:
1. Click here to go to Dave Barnes’ website. If you’re on dial-up, go here instead. Because it will load a little faster. And you’ll be less likely to scream things like, “DADBLAMEIT, BOOMAMA WOMAN, DON’T YOU KNOW I’M ON DIAL-UP?!?!?!”
And the giveaway will be so much happier if there’s no screaming.
2. Listen to the song samples. Amazon’s song samples are super short (and, truth be told, somewhat random), so you’ll get a better idea of the Dave Barnes FLAVA (and I often use the word FLAVA in casual conversation, by the way – I think it suits me) if you listen to the songs on his website.

Well my computer doesn’t like me. I had a hard time getting the songs to work. I’ve never heard of Dave Barnes before but I will take you at your word that he is good. Thanks for this great opportunity to hear some good music.

I have to say I loves me some Dave Barnes! The two that really got me were “When You Say I Do” – LOVE the bluesy feel of that one – and “Carry Me Through” – what is HOTTER than a man singing accapella with that GORGEOUS voice?! Love it and thanks for the heads up on a new CD and artist!

LOVELOVELOVE Dave Barnes. I saw him when he was touring with Matt Wertz and had Gabe Dixon on keys (I actually went to see the Gabe Dixon Band open because they’re AMAZING). Dave and Matt made several new fans that night — me and all my friends who came to see Gabe Dixon. Picking one song is really tough, and although I adore my hubby I’m kind of sad you’re not sending the cute blue-eyed man himself… but I really loved “10,000 Children” at the show. And he’s coming back to Austin, yay! So if I don’t win I will pick up the CD there.
