It’s hard work being a superhero, y’all.

Especially when you’re five.

It helps to have a sidekick, too :).

(My 14-year-old dressed up like Batman a few weeks ago during our school’s spirit week–one of their themes was “super heros”.)

  2. Aww, what a fun little fellow! I hope he has a wonderful week!! Our Tabor skinned his nose yesterday–he and the sidewalk had a little confrontation. The sidewalk won. Chris said he got the tumbling gene from me–yep.

  3. so cute!

  4. Oh how cute !

  5. oh this makes me want to have a boy so bad.

but to try for a third…yikes! it may take more than batman to pull that off.

  6. Great super hero costume. My supergirl was jumping off every set of steps because…you know…supergirl flies:-)

  7. Awesomeness…so cute.

  8. Awww that is a very cute superhero!!!!

  9. VERY cute!!

  10. that’s one of my favorite angles–i love taking photos of my loved ones walking in front of me.

  11. Thank God! We could sure use a superhero around these parts.

  12. Is it too weird that my heart broke a wee bit seeing how big he has gotten in the two years I’ve been “watching from afar”?

    Wow.

  13. I love that last picture! So sweet. :)

  14. He is really cute! If he’s like my son, when he’s 11 he’ll be embarrassed to see those pics. Then when he’s older (like Robin’s son above), he’ll probably ask you to track down his cape for some high school event. ;)

Also? I’m glad that out-of-focus shots are not just the domain of the newbie blogger. I feel validated.

  15. The last picture is my favorite!

  16. Well, of course Boo Mama! I mean, the work of a super hero is never finished–even at 5 years of age. : )

  17. Love the pics
This totally reminded me of the book by Jamie Lee Curtis “it’s hard to be five”
    Do you have it?
It is such a boy book – it talks about how hard it is to sit still and other really funny stuff!
    5 yr old boys ROCK!
BTW: when I saw a pic of D on Travis blog I squealed “there is Boo’s man! Oh he is so cute! they are adorable together!!”
    Blessings

  18. He’s so adorable!! He and mine could form the superhero club. My little guy is going to be a yellow power ranger.

  19. I have Iron Man and Spiderman at my house!

  20. I think your little batman needs to marry Melanie’s little wonder woman! Now that would be fun!

  21. And here I thought it was me holding up this end of the planet and all… ;)

My youngest son, 6, has just discovered Underdog. We rent the DVD from the local Baptist Association. So when your title said, ‘Here He Comes to Save the Day’ I thought I was hallucinating. That song is sung by my son continuously now…while wearing a Superman cape.

    Love your Bat Man.

  23. When my 12 year old was 2 he was Batman! Oh, my goodnes was he precious. We couldn’t get that cape off of him for weeks!

  25. I particularly love his Daddy walking along with a soda in one hand and the other hand – holding Mr. Super Hero’s tiny hand – cape and all – those are two real men. Love it!

  26. Batman has always been my favorite. :>)

    Very sweet.

  27. Oh, this is so fun! I have a little superhero that likes to wear his outfits where ever we go. People just love to stop and talk to him. Especially grandparents.
