– Heather’s eye make-up always looks fab. My eye make-up, on the other hand, always looks like I took one color and haphazardly rubbed it all over my eyelids, primarily because that is exactly what I do. Anyway, in the ten months I’ve known sweet Heather I’ve often found myself wondering how she gets such great results from her eye shadow…and now I know. I think my life is forever changed. I could not be more delighted.
– Lesson #1 when you’re a CEO asking for billions of bailout dollars: consider taking a commercial flight.
– This won’t be a huge surprise, but this CD right here is a musical highlight of 2008 for me. For real(s).
I am listening to Jesus Saves as I write this! OH MY WORD Travis is talented! Thanks for pointing us to this one when it came out!
The funniest part of the CEO/Jet article is when the author asked if they could’ve “jet-pooled”. Cracked me stinkin up. Jet-pooled. HAHAHAHA!
And Travis is ridiculous. In a totally good way. And it’s playing here, too.
Aw, I’ve been waiting for my cd to come. I ordered it with the bell in September and it’s been delayed. ‘Hopefully it will come before our trip! That is my prayer and hope.
ooooh, I’m going to try this eye makeup routine, but think I’ll practice with similar colors at Target.
My blood is almost boiling after reading these articles – I 100%, wholeheartedly agree with the GM spokesperson. I find it sad AND sickening that the mainstream media in this country actually wants our companies to crumble. Focusing on this is like focusing on a pimple on the cheek when the heart is the problem.
I mean no offense with what I’ve said – this is a serious subject for me and I HATE, HATE, HATE seeing GM, Ford and Chrysler being bashed in the news.
I don’t think that the media.
I think that people who have tried hard to live within their means and who have struggled for years to stay with in those bounds are tired of waste.
Having executives fly private jets that (1) could be sold to help with their failing businesses (2) cost way to much for a flight to DC to ask for MORE MONEY.
It isn’t the auto companies, it isn’t the banks, it isn’t the governemt.
We are tired of waste.
Giving those companies money isn’t going to matter one itoa IF they don’t start building products that last and we need.
OH, somone take this soapbox away from me please!
Well first I would have to look like Heather for her technique to work on moi. She is gorgeous. AND thin. AND hip looking. dang it.
The AIG guys really get me. The week after they were handed $85 billion, they went to a luxury spa for a week.
Is powder blue still in style? Because that’s what I probably still have left from high school.
7YO stomped up to me the other day, complete with my cheek-color-stuff in hand and snarked, “What IS this? WHY do you have it? You don’t even WEAR it!”
At least my 4YO will sit at the dinner table and say, “Mom, you are the BEST part of the kitchen.” (That’s a quote from the Little House on the Prairie book. One I said over and over to my boys. Hint, hint young men — here’s how to treat a woman.) :)
And in regards to the airline flight, I say,
“OH, REALLY??!?”
(I assume you’ll catch that quote.)
I’m excited to read about Heather’s eye makeup and I don’t even follow this girl….yet.
Dern CEO’s….how stupid can they be???
I don’t have my CD yet. So very sad. Can you hook me up?? :)
I had Travis’ Christmas CD playing today and my youngest daughter said: “Who is that, Mom? Is that Josh Groban?”
I think Trav would be real proud to hear that!
you are the Erma Bombeck of this generation. We love you, Boomama!
PS – Who is Erma Bombeck?
Must get to MAC counter ASAP! Why do I think that when I try to apply my eyeshadow like that I’ll look like a boxer who just lost!?!
DID SOMEONE JUST CALL ME THIN!
That has never happened! You and Zoom just made my night! H
I totally agree with the whole commercial flight thing. The lack of common sense may be why they need the money,,,no?
