This post by Amanda is the best thing I’ve read in a long, long time. And it’s also a topic that has come up in about four different conversations I’ve had this past week. Such a reminder of the importance of extending grace to each other. ALWAYS.

– I cannot, cannot, CANNOT wait to read this book.

– Finally, while it certainly isn’t “awesomeness,” last week I wrote a post over at AllAccess that essentially asks one question: are we more connected than we need to be?

  1. I loved Amanda’s post; good pick!

  2. Your post is MOST CERTAINLY awesomeness, Sophie. Yes, it is!

And as for connectedness, I believe there are good boundaries to have and keep watch over. It is life to us.

Love your heart and you, too!

  3. I also loved Amanda’s post. It’s so true…….I’m involved in women’s ministry at our church and being real is my mantra. What’s the stinkin’ point if we are all going to pretend all the time that we’re perfect? Who can stand that kind of pressure? Geesh!

Besides, God brings incredible people into our lives when we are at our lowest point. Friends, mentors, pastors, etc. I do not want to miss out on the joy of having someone else’s life intersect with mine at just the right moment. That right there is some Jesus at work!

Regarding The Help, it is also on my wish list to read. One of my good friends has already read it and said it’s awesome. She said I will love it. Now, to get my library to purchase it!

  5. The book looks great…and must be a popular one. I’m 94th in line at the library to get it!!! Thanks for the suggestion!

  6. That WAS a great post!

  7. I’m with ya’! Loved that post as well!

I could totally use some “been there with the strong-willed toddler advice!

    ‘Cause I’m THERE!

Any parental support groups out there?

    Really…she’s trying to overthrow me!

  8. I am reading “The Help” right now and it is awesome! Get it as soon as possible. (P.S.I am doing really terrible in my bracket. So bad, I am actually ashamed!)

  9. Hi! I’m new to your blog and in need of a new book, so I just clicked over to my library’s site and reserved The Help. Can’t wait to read it, and thanks for the recommendations! Blessings!
