Well, it’s our 300th episode – and our 15th podcast-i-versary – and Melanie and I are thrilled about both of these things. WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THOUGHT. So, as you can imagine, we do a little reminiscing on this episode, but we also do a lot of talking about the here and now. That is because this is the week that Alex moves to college, and we have a lot to break down about that.

Y’all are truly tearin’ it UP over the past year! Sidenote: you might want to use your…. carefully sequenced release of new episodes over the years…. as a WONDERFUL way for newcomers to easily ramp up and, if they so desire (And why wouldn’t they!?), take in the complete podcast history! Very doable and inclusive! Other, “highly prolific” pods might require over 780(!!!) back episodes in order to accomplish that. Much too daunting a task in these difficult times! ;-)

Love your podcast! My dad encouraged me when I was younger to “learn” sports so I could talk to men at work (in retrospect…what the heck…but sad to say he was right). Then I married into the Seminole nation and had no choice but to know football. Now I work on an executive leadership team with mostly men…I love that I learn from you all each week and can “talk shop” when at work!

My favorite podcast: when you announced if enough people liked an Instagram post, Mike Leech would guest on a podcast. The votes came in amazingly quickly. Then there was the moment in that podcast when Melanie made an astute comment about a play and a player from a particular game, and it was like you could see Leech’s brain processing that THIS WONAN KNOWS HER FOOTBALL and he jumped into the deep end of the discussion (as opposed to wading in the shallow end of a supposed “mommy blog”. He was ALL IN.
