Because I Love Me A Post-Thanksgiving Bargain

I don’t know if any of y’all are interested, but Home Depot has six and a half foot pre-lit Christmas trees for $29.99 – and then you can mail in a rebate and get a $30.00 Home Depot gift card.

Which means that you get a tree AND make a penny.

What could be better?

D got up this morning and bought one for us – I decided that it would be a great thing to put in the den off of our new kitchen, and I’m going to hang all of our Christmas cards on it.

Which is about as close to crafty as I’ll ever get. But I’m tickled that I actually thought of a holiday-themed decorating idea.

If you don’t have a Home Depot in your area, click here and you can order one online.

Merry Christmas!

(I love being able to say that so much that I think I’ll say it again.)

Merry Christmas!

  1. Wow! What an incredible deal! I just bought a tree last year and have no room for a second one — so I will have to pass — although I’m still really tempted!!!

    Merry Christmas!!!!!

(first time I’ve said that! woohoo!)

  2. Well FREE works for me, too! And Merry Christmas! Hee hee.

  3. No room for a tree that big, but it IS a great deal!

I can’t wait to see what kind of template and design Heather does for you, BooMama.

And Merry Christmas to you and yours! :-)

  4. Normally I wouldn’t subject myself to the lines of Black Friday shopping, but THIS is a bargain worth getting out for!

Oh, wait–maybe I’ll just order it online:)

    And Merry Christmas to you!

  5. Wonder if they have that deal in Canada. Can’t lose there!

  6. ooooh! a penny! stick that in someone’s stocking

  7. Last night (Saturday) I finally sat down to do some catch up blog reading and came across this post…well, although it was 8:00 p.m and dear husband (DH) and I were just about pooped we headed out to Home Depot (just in case) to get us one of those “free trees”. You see, I needed a new one for our Master Bath but couldn’t bring myself to spend big bucks on yet, another tree (so far I am up to 7 and just couldn’t rationalize another…but FREE I can do!). We got to Home Depot and there sat 3 of the “free trees”! WhooooHOOOOO!!! Thanks so very much for the heads up…my bathroom thanks you, my DH thanks you! DH had braved the Friday shoppers in search of a “cheap” tree but this is at least $30 better!!!

Although it won’t sport tons of ornaments — just icicles and lights — it’s be our BooMama Blogging Free Tree! LOL

  1. […] In Alex’s playroom I put up the tree we got at Home Depot the day after Thanksgiving (remember? it was free!). That’s where I’m putting all the cards we get in the mail, and I can already tell that the Christmas Card Tree is going to be a tradition in our house for many years to come. I just love it. […]
