Alex and his cousin M. have always been pretty big buddies.
But on this latest trip to Mississippi, they got to spend more time together than they normally do. And M. is eight now, so in addition to the fact that she CAN look out for Alex, she WANTS to look out for him. Very maternal, she is.
So as I was transferring these pictures from the camera to the computer this afternoon, I noticed a common denominator that I missed when I took them.
In every single picture, she is in some way reaching for Alex. If she’s not reaching, it’s because she’s holding him.
And I think that’s about the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen.
That’s so funny…that’s the first thing I noticed, too! That is sweet…I can’t wait for my sister to have babies so my baby will have someone to pal around with. :)
How absolutely adorable!! There is NOTHING sweeter than loving cousins. You know me — it was all about Sam and Ben!! My, M has grown and is beautiful!!Alex, I could eat him up!!!!
Ah, sweet! I envy that. We have the only grandkids on both sides. What a treasure!

Awwww…That is so sweet. They must be so close. I look forward to one day having a sibling for me son and seeing all the relationship elements come out with him. Looks like they were having a great time as well.
