Updated to add: Mystery solved. The cap was from a friend – but the company where she ordered it neglected to send the note that she had asked them to include. And just FYI – I knew it had to be someone who knows me – because I don’t exactly broadcast my real name on my blog. So all is well. :-)
A week or so ago I posted images of various and sundry hairstyles that I had created on our Wii. You know, since summer’s on the way and all.
This was one of them:
And yesterday I received an anonymous gift in the mail.
A red ski cap.
Oh, secret internet gift-giver. You are so deliciously witty.
And don’t think for one second that I won’t wear it.
In fact, I’ve already indoctrinated my child:
So thanks, Anonymous Internet Bloggy Someone.
I can honestly say that I don’t have anything else even remotely like it.
You surely do know how to make a mama smile.

Love the patriotic shirt / toboggan combo. Very hip. :)
Put on your thinking cap boo. If the person has your mailing address, you have to know them.
Now I’m dying to know! :) You’ve got my curiosity all peaked.
Love, Michelle
That’s great that you take this anonymous gift thingy all in stride. I think that would freak me out a little, but my second thought was that if they have your mailing address then I guess you must know them. They really should just ‘fess up since it’s just a hat….. a mighty fine looking one on a mighty fine looking young man I might add! :-)
I think it was Sister. She’s all witty like that. ;-)
Well I’m not the one who sent it but it is the look I chose for you…
Alex is so street, yo!
Lisa
The remark about Alex being so “street, yo” sent me to gizoogle, where I typed in: “Alex looks cute in that hat. Now let us see what it does for you.”
This is how it translated: “Tizzle hat looks skanky on yo son. Now let’s see whizzat it does fo you.”
Uhm. Yeah. What he said.
(I think I know what my next post will be.)
Okay, BooMama had me in stitches with her post, but Toni has taken the prize for givin me the biggest laugh today with that lesson in ebonics post. LOL!
Ta for now dahlings!
Interesting! Do anonymous readers have our addresses??? Eek! Cute, nonetheless!
Steph
Anonymous Bloggy Gift, huh? At least she was thoughtful and not stalk-ery!
Oh, I definitely think it’s someone I know – because the package had my full name on it. Otherwise I’d be, you know, IN A CORNER TRYING TO HIDE. :-)
ok I just spent way too long on that gizoogle LOL. Alex looks adorable :) that is a funny gift ;) xoxo melzie
Dear Anonymous,
Your generous history of gift-giving combined with the picture on this post require that I make a gentle suggestion: please do not mail a little boy to BooMama. Postage would be way too expensive and besides, the cuteness of the little boy currently in residence would totally intimidate the new kid.
Love,
Jeana
That’s hilarious. Someone has a great sense of humor, not style, but humor. :>)
The little man looks cool in it!
I’m always intrigued with all of the gift giving going on in blogland. I always wonder how everyone knows each others’ last names, real names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.
DANG I wish I had thought of that. Because truly the Ski Cap BooMama was my favorite.
How precious is your little guy??!!!! Too cute, for sure.
Where was the package postmarked? Might give you a clue where it was mailed from, perhaps, where the person lives. :-)
Loved it on that cute little man!
I;m sure Martha and Sissie have your address.
I’m just sayin”!
Well, you know it’s not me. But oh how I wish I had been so clever.
Thanks for clearing up that scary question… you know things like that freak me out a bit. ;)
Alex looks adorable in it.
Maybe we all need red ski caps?
Cute witty idea! And cute little man sporting it!
Ya know, it is a great look for you and all (at least for your Mii), but I’m thinking that wouldn’t be what you wanted to go with for the Summer here in our beloved South. I mean, it is already in the 80s around here! Now, if you shaved your head and then wore the ski cap…hmmm, that might be a possibility. ;-)
Your little boy totally looks like Toby Mac in that hat!
Look at his gorgeous eyes!
Now THAT’s clever.
I wish I’d thought of it.
Inspector BooMama you are!
