This is one of those giveaways where I feel like anything I might want to say is completely inconsequential. Because really, anyone who’s reading this post just wants me to SHUT IT, ALREADY and stop talking about the fact that even though I don’t personally own an Oreck, I do have a mother and a sister who are very! enthusiastic! about the entire Oreck product family, not to mention that they would both tell you in a heartbeat that their Oreck vacuums are convenient, powerful, and light-as-a-feather.
But y’all don’t really want to hear that. Y’all just want me to cut to the chase and tell you about the free stuff.
Specifically, you want me to tell you about how you can win a free Oreck vacuum that retails for $599.95.
So.
Here goes.
First. Look! It’s adorable!

SASSY!
Second. If you’d like to win this very special vacuum that’s raising awareness for a very special cause (Clean for the Cure), here’s what you have to do:
1. Click here to visit Oreck’s site and look at all the fancy features on the Special Edition XL Gold. This is going to have to be done on the honor system, because it’s going to be next-to-impossible for me to check every single one of my outgoing clicks. However, I do know that the clicks out to this link should (roughly) match the number of comments on this post. So please do me a favor and click on the link and look around once you’re there so that I don’t have to put anyone in time out, oh thank you.
2. Come back here.
3. Leave a comment on this post (only one comment per email address, please) and briefly tell me why you’d LURVE to win an Oreck.
One catch: you have to be a resident of the continental United States in order to win (I know, Canada. I KNOW. I feel your pain. Because guess what? I can’t win, either).
This giveaway will be open until Monday, October 13th, and I’ll announce the winner on Tuesday, October 14th. If you win, I will contact you at the email address associated with your comment, so please be sure to type your email address correctly. You’ll have 24 hours to respond, and if I don’t hear from you within that time period, I’ll draw for another winner.
Have fun, y’all!
This giveaway is now closed.

I could handle not having to dust as often…not to mention the fact that it light and therefore easier to carry up my stairs!
Well, I love that it’s pink and the fact that it says you can dust less often. I am not sure if that means I have to vacuum more often, but why not if I am doing it with my awesome Oreck that I got from BooMama’s site.
Michelle
I would love the Oreck for its weight. I have to ask my husband to haul ours up and down stairs for me!
I would love to have this cute little vacuum! I love that it self adjusts from hardwood to carpet and it looks so lightweight and easy to handle! I also love that Oreck is donating to Breast Cancer Awareness!!! Thanks so much!
Oh my carpets would love for me to have vacuum cleaner. They suffer much with a 3 year old boy, 4 year old girl, and 6 year old dog. Not that I dont have a current vacuum cleaner, but it is not working so hot.
I have heard that Orecks are great! I would love to have one. My vacuum makes a horrible noise on carpet and rugs. it scares my kids to death.
Just like the first time, I want to win this for my good friend who desperately needs a good vacuum cleaner thankyouverymuch.
because they last forever and suck up all the dust bunnies
I would love to have this Oreck because I am tired of buying the cheap $50.00 vacuum at walmart that always needs to be replaced within a year.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I’d love to win the vacuum because I love to vacuum! It’s weird, but it’s a big ol’ stress reliever for me.
It is so pretty and pink! Maybe I could get excited about cleaning if all my products were pink!!! I doubt it, but it would sure look cute!
I so need a new vacuum. I have two year old twins and two cats…I think that is reason enough! And it extends the life of carpet…I really need to test that out!
I would LOVE to win an Oreck! I’ve never really had a great vacuum, and with a dog who sheds hair like it is always summer time, I could use a good one. The bagless that I have is horrible because the filter clogs constantly and the cup fills up so quickly with all the fluff that it has to be emptied repeatedly.
BooMama, I would love to have a new vacuum that “picks up dirt in virtually one pass…” That would be so much better than the one I have now that picks up virtually nothing no matter how many passes it gets!
Why would I want this Oreck vaccuum??? It’s lightweight and it is soooo pink! But, the main reason is because my daughter took one look at it and said, “Awesome!!! Can we get it???”
A vaccuum that provides that much excitement has the potential to also ensure that Mom is not the only one doing the vaccuuming. ; )
I have teenage boys, 2 cats and a dog and I have crazy allergies, and oh I would love to have an Orek!
I would LURVVVVVVVVVVE to win the Oreck for several reasons:
1.I have a horrrrible vacuum that we have to actually VACUUM OUT with our shop-vac before vacuuming the floor!
2.I have an 18-month-old son and a 1-month-old daughter and my son has been picking up and bringing me tiny pieces of carpet dirt/fuzz/food… in increasing amounts lately.
3.As you can tell I don’t vacuum very often, and I just know that having a functioning and nice vacuum would make this chore into a pleasure and an escape of cleaning ecstacy for me! ahhhhh…. and I would want to do it every day, and my floor would be sooo verrrry clean and all the world would be right. :)
4.It’s soooo purty!
5.I just really really really would love to have it!
Went to the site first as directed :)
Now, would love to win the new vacumn because mine is old and heavy…
And would just love to win :)
Sweet Blessings,
DeeDee
I’m a sore loser. So I really hope I win!
Oh my gosh! Two kids, one husband, one farm….. I need this vacuum. The one I own was a hand-me-down from my mother! Also, NOT AN ORECK! Need I say more?
Pick me! Pick me!…or, you know, some other deserving person…..ah hem…
Did I mention I have allergies……?
I would “lurve” an Oreck b/c I am finally going to move out this year…to my own place…and I will need something fantastic to clean my new fantastic floors with! also, the fact that the Oreck is “for the cure” is such a plus. My grandmother survived 4 cancers, but her low immunity caused her to get sick with pneumonia and she just passed two weeks ago. We need a cure!!!!
I looked on their site, and it says you have to dust less often if you use this vacuum. Bring it on!! And it is pretty cute, too :-)
Oh anything that helps the breast cancer research, I’m there. My mom and sister died of that disease. Our oreck is OLD and has been attacked more than too times by the dogs and has a hole(well kinda big hole) in the bag……so we need a new one!! I lurve oreck…..
FIrst of all, that vacuum is SUPER CUTE!! Also, my current vacuum has a hole in the attachment hose… which we use 90% of the time because we have hard wood floors and my current cheepy vacuum doesn’t pick up off the hardwood. IF this isn’t enough to show how much I need this vacuum, lets just say I have a crawling baby and a dog. Not a good combo when your vacuum doesn’t work well!! :) I could put a swiffer on the baby and maybe my house work would be cut in half!! – I’d rather win the oreck!! :)
I would love to win this vacuum for the filtration system to keep the dust level down. Plus it’s a kicky pink color! And I could say it came from Boomama! :)
Hey Sophie!! I’d LOVE a new vacuum for my really, really dirty office rug!!
Thanks!!
B/c my third is a boy!!!
I NEED this vacuum, oh please. It’s pink, first of all, and second, maybe then I’d stop banging up my wood furniture with the vacuum cleaner. Plus the filtration system—boo-yah.
I would love to win this and give it to my momma who is having rotator cuff surgery this month. This vacuum would be lightweight for her after her long recovery and because of the fact that she currently owns the 1,000 lb weighing Kirby.
I would love this b/c my poor vacuum spits out more dirt than it sucks up. It really makes cleaning difficult. And, you know…pink. too cute!
Pink is my favorite color!!! I have an 8 year old boy, a three year old girl, a dog, and a very messy husband!!! Oh please let me win this adorable vacuum!!!
I need a new vac so I can keep my new carpet nice! And it’s so cute!
The previous owner thought that burgundy carpet would be a great choice. The constant layer of stuff (cat hair, lint, any. little. thing.) that accumulates on it (despite frequent vacuuming) leads me to believe otherwise. A cute pink vacuum might make me hate it less :)
I love all the features especially the hypo-allergenic filtration.Love the pink too!! monk5@charter.net
Monica
I HATE to vacuum, but I would LOVE to win this Oreck. Why? If you saw my house and family, you would not have to ask. My 2 year old brought half of the garden into my living room today. Also, my 8 year old has horrible indoor allergies, and would probably appreciate it, too!! Thanks!!
I would LURVE to win this vacuum cleaner because my wife is adorable, and she would look very cute (and sassy!) if she were the proud new owner/operator of this cute little cleaning machine. We have 3 children under 5 years old, and might have another one on the way. When she’s pregnant, she sometimes gets arthritis in her hands, so the “ergonomically designed handle” would hopefully be more comfortable for her on the days when I’m not around to help vacuum up the goldfish and grapes that live beneath our dining room table. She also homeschools, so this vacuum would help to ensure that no child would be left behind for lack of a clean classroom!
I have an Oreck! My mom is in the market for a new vacuum, so I would give it away. That should totally increase my odds, don’t you think?
I just wanna be able to say I won sumpin on “that thar internetty thing.”
My $79.99 vacuum that I got at THE Walmart is not getting it done and with a new Oreck I hope to learn to love to vacuum.
I’d love a vacuum that’s light enough to use on our 17 stairs and strong enough to fight our many, many allergies. And cuz it’s sassy looking.
Wow, I want one now.
I need one too.
And it’s pretty too.
This is such a great vaccume–seriously not to mention it’s pink–housework would soooo be better if it was done in pink :)
Who doesn’t love pink??? Love the pink, and the hypoallergenic filter–awesomeness for my allergy prone babies!
I would love an Oreck, mainly because I currently have no vacuum. I am in graduate school and will be graduating in a few months. I have had several different roommates the past 3 years and each one had a vacuum for us to use. In a few months, I will be out on my own and have no vacuum so I would love an Oreck!!
Okay. I would SO lurv to win this Oreck. Because it is so very cute. And more powerful than the one I have. And because it promotes such a fabulous cause. Thanks for the fabulous giveaway!
Umm…a pick vacuum…count me in, also hardwood, to carpet, to hardwood, to carpet, to…you get my drift! I looked at the site and lemme tell you I got the gimmes!!!
WOW — LOVE this vaccum — so many reasons – -it’s PINK and it’s for a good cause, because it sucks up almost EVERYTHING and because you will announce the winner the day BEFORE my birthday and it would be a GREAT early birthday present. :)
To win a pink vacuum!!! Enough said…well and we have enough little things on the ground in our house to feed a small army!
I would Love to win this vacuum because my good vacuum broke and I didn’t have the money to get a good one so I bought one for $25 and it doesn’t work AT ALL. I also have 2 kids, a cat and a very dirty husband. I also love that you don’t have to do anything to go from carpet to hardwood, very handy in my house!! I would also love it because it is PINK and I don’t think I could ever get my husband to BUY me a PINK one!
I would “lurve” to have an Oreck vacuum because I love my housekeeper, and I know that she would love not having to lug my heavy old dinosaur around the house! Also, it’s pink. How many women can actually say they own a PINK vacuum cleaner!
2 teenage boys + 493 various friends, youth groups, etc. that eat a lot + 1 tidy husband + 4 Corgi dogs (all in the yard thank you very much, but all that Corgi hair comes in the back door like crazy)= 1 Mama that would love and enjoy cleaning up after this crew with a cutegotoagoodcausepink Oreck!
What an awesome “pink” vacuum cleaner. I think that might even make housework a little bit fun!! Here’s hoping that I’ll be the lucky winner.
I would totally love to win this vaccuum in order to be able get UNDER my furniture! Thanks for the chance to win. Also, so glad you had a great birthday!
Ooh! Pink! Pretty!
I think my favorite part is the TEN YEAR warranty! Ten years! I’ve never had a (cheap Wal-Mart) vaccum last more than ONE year! Ten years would be some kind of world record!
What would be better than the one and only, famous Oreck???!!!
Lurve to win!!!! :)
Lisa
lharp@academicplanet.com
I would love to win a pretty pink vacuum because, like a true girl, I love pink and I hate to vacuum, so maybe this would be motivational…
Plus, my old one smells like dog and cat vomit…nice.
AWESOME! I’d give it to my mom. She’s a Survivor. Did her first walk this past weekend! Go mom!
4 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog, and a husband. I would LOVE an Oreck. Thanks
I’d lurve, lurve, lurve an Oreck…because I have a little thing called dirt and dust that likes to collect itself on my floor! :)
We have two brand new grandbabies. They will soon learn to crawl. Although I truly *live* to clean [cough], my carpets could possibly stand to be a teeny bit cleaner. Just a smidge.
And now that I am a [**COUGH**] “grandmother”, my young & sassy muscles would appreciate that Light-as-a-Feather design.
I love my Oreck, but it’s about 20 years old (we inherited it) and a little bit on it’s last leg. I need a new pink one! Thanks for the amazing giveaway.
There are MANY reasons I would like to win an Oreck, but mostly I want to dust less often.
hi, boomama
are you really reading all these comments? whew! i should come over & vacuum for you!
do you want to work a trade? i’m ready to give away my dyson. it’s only been used 2x and it is so strong that it damaged the fringe on my nice (antique) rug.
and i need a vacuum, so i’d love the oreck, which is what the nice rug repair man says he uses exclusively. it’s also good on upholstery and those hardwoods; even recommended by asthma foundation!
due to allergies we have hard surface floors everywhere, except for the hand-me-down (& treasured) rug. i think that dyson is great on carpet, but not for us. if this is considered a bribe, i don’t mean it that way. we can always take it to the mission.
thanks for having this giveaway :)
Oct 14th is my Bday….I need an Oreck, cause my vacuum is awful, terrible, and on its last leg! I can’t think of a better bday present!!
Me, pick me!!! since I moved to sandy, dusty, windy west Texas I have bought 2 vacuum cleaners… I love a good vacuum cleaner and would Lurv this one!
I would lurve to win it because my walmart vacuum cleaner just broke! I love that it is pink – so sassy! And I love that it is lightweight, and that it self adjusts from carpet to hard floors!!!!
Nothing like a carpet that has just been swept. Getting a little misty eyed just thinking about it.
Crumbs on my floor…need I say more.
Take care,
Amy

I would love to win this because it is so cute, I think it would inspire me to use it more than my ugly old vac. Also, since it says it’s lightweight it would be easier to use, and the Breast Cancer Awareness edition is awesome. My mom is a breast cancer survivor, and I am glad that they are supporting such a good cause.
This vacuum looks wonderful. I need something lightweight, easy to use, and has good suction!
My mom was a breast cancer survivor. . .
Count me in!
A light weight vacuum with good power would be awesome!
Here’s the low-down. I have 2 dogs. One black and one white. The white hair shows on the wood floors and the black shows on everything else. Plus, since it’s so light, my son can vacuum!
I would LOVE to win an Oreck because I have always heard how great they are, and I can’t afford one! Besides, my cousin is married to Mr. Oreck, and I’ve always thought it would be great if they gave me one — but since I’ve only met her probably once in my life, and I’ve never met him (although my mother has!), and they have no idea I want one — then I stand a better chance of winning this one!
My upstairs vacumm went caput!! I so need a new one. I love the pink Oreck! I need light weight and furniture friendly. That way my kids have no excuse not to use it! thanks for the give-away!
kentherndon@charter.net
I’ve always said, if there’s one household thing I’d spend a lot of money on (if I had it, that is), it would be a really good vacuum. Hope I get it! :)
Oh, please, please, please pick me! My Mother-In-Law has an Oreck and loves it. But, I would DIE if she gave me one! I recently inherited and iRobot which is nice b/c it gets up the big furballs from my cat and black lab, but it doesn’t seem to get down deep. We’re moving to SC from TX next summer and I’ll put that Oreck to good use getting my house spic and span to put on the market. Thanks for all your great posts – I look forward to your blog every morning before my kids get up! Blessings to you and your family!
Boomama,
I would LUVRE to win this Oreck as I am in need of a decent vacuum; one that certainly would get plenty of use with all the 2 and 4 legged members of my family.
thanks for offering such a great give away.
kathleen :)
3 kids, oldest is 4. That pretty much sums up why I need something that will make my life a little easier. Thanks!
What a fabulous vacuum!! I would love this vacuum because I have brand new carpets all over and I would love to be able to keep them in this condition! Thanks so much!
I would love an Oreck vaccum cleaner. We have a new football field at our school that has little pieces of black rubber all over it and now my carpet has these pieces too. The bad thing is is that it is KILLING my vaccum. I now a mighty Oreck would not only clean my carpet but survive the black rubber!
That diagram showing the suction path pretty much sums up why I’d like to win it. I’m forever pulling dusty wads of lint and cat hair out of areas in the vacuum where they weren’t supposed to get stuck. And that’s just gross.
Um…wow, you have almost 800 comments right now!
Well, I’d love me some Oreck action because with my bulky old clunker I’ve only been motivated to vacuum my stairs a handful of times since we moved into our house in February. So embarrassing.
And it’s so flippin’ cute too!
My old Oreck died–sniff.
I have a cheap vacuum left over from college dorm days. It’s time to grow up to a big girl vacuum!
Hooray! I’d love me an Oreck.
I would love to win an Oreck vacuum cleaner because I am selfish and ungrateful for the vacuum I already have, apparently! I want to say that I need this more than anyone but then I read Jennifer Gray’s comment about shipping it to the women’s shelter. I can’t think of any reason I should have the Oreck instead of her and the shelter.
My back back needs a lightweight vacuum! For years my hubby did the vacuuming, but this summer he hurt his back, now his back needs a lightweight!
Donna, the house cleaner, would love it if I won a new Oreck vacuum cleaner. With three dogs and a cat living in the house, I need something to clean up after them!!
I am in my Jubliee year (50) and I imagine it would be so LIGHT and EASY to use, and I just like the way it sounds, Oreck, Oreck, Oreck. Mr. Oreck does a great commercial and all that too. Fascinating giveaway.
You never know what BooMama is going to come up with…
Plus it is PINK! I love me some pink!!
Georgia Jan
I would love an Oreck b/c my vacuum is on its last legs. Hmmm…4 kids, lots of friends, pets…a vacuum works hard around here!
My granny has an Oreck and I love how light they are!
Also, I did Race for the Cure on Saturday, and some guy was toting around this pink vacuum all over the place and I was totally coveting it. I would have carried it 5 km if that meant I could keep it!
And it’s pink!!!!
We have several allergy sufferers in our house and it looks like the Oreck could help. Plus it is so light our children could actually handle it! Bonus.
“Why I Would Love An ORECK” by Gayle Westover
Once upon a time, I, in a very emotional state, decided that the extremely convincing lady in a black suit was absolutely right-on in her diagnosis that my poor FILTHY floors would feel utterly *wronged* if I didn’t purchase her wares.
Those “wares”, as it were, was a (ohm’gosh this STILL HURTS) $1500 Rainbow vacuum. ~gulp~
Now, 4 years later, my floors are rarely vacuumed because the Rainbow and Gayle? They are at enmity. ENMITY, BOO!!
The thing weighs like 650 lbs (OF COURSE it does since I am sure there is gold in it somewhere for the price I paid), it operates in 2 humongous pieces, and it sloshes water around everywhere. Stinky, nasty water.
So you see, I am not kidding when I say that I would LOVE an Oreck. A small, lightweight, waterless, FREE, lovely Oreck. ~sigh~
The end.
How perfect! I have a friend who was just diagnosed with breast cancer and is in the middle of chemo and will be starting radiation next month. What a genious way to honor these brave ladies! Plus, I *really* need a new vacuum-the old Hoover just isn’t cutting it anymore.
i used an Oreck while helping at a school, and have always wanted one. they are phenomenal! they worked on a carpeted cafeteria floor. it picked up everything… please, please, pick me, o great random generator thingee!
Um, it’s an Oreck, need I say more?
I have an old black and gray Oreck. It sure would brighten my day,no year, to win a pink one!
Hypo-allergenic and lightweight…those are the two magic words! Except, technically, that’s three words. Oh well…I’d be so happy to win a new vacuum.
It’s so cute! Maybe having such a nice vacuum would encourage me to do it a little more…
I’d love to win an Oreck! It might be the only way I can afford to ditch this gosh awful heavy vacuum I have now. Thank goodness for the man in the house .. he can pick up the heavy sucker we now have …. ummm, I’ll have to rethink this! If I win, I won’t tell the hubby … (wink wink)
It is really cute. And fancy shmancy too! Thanks for the chance! : )
