– I am loving this song right now. It makes me want to sing. And scat. And whatnot.
– Have I told y’all that I find the oatmeal at Starbucks to be delicious? Granted, it’s because of the toppings (nuts, raisins, brown sugar), but it’s such a nice alternative to, say, a sausage biscuit. NOT THAT THERE’S ANYTHING WRONG WITH A SAUSAGE BISCUIT.
– A new season of “Top Chef” starts tomorrow night. It’s one of my favorite TV shows, so SCORE. However, here’s to hoping that the contestants’ language is a little more family-friendly this go ’round. Or at the very least that they try some new adjectives.

oooo! thanks for the oatmeal tip! i’ve not been actually inside a starbucks in forever, but maybe me and my girls will have to breakfast there soon!
Oatmeal at Starbucks? I never knew!
TOP CHEF IS BACK?!?!
i’m so excited. :) sam from a few seasons ago locked me into it… he could cook.. and was pretty easy to look at. :)
seriously.
what i would give to get a quick peak at your iTunes.
oh my.
Wow. I love that song. I’m embarrassed to say I’d never heard the song. I really need to learn how to work my ipod.
I’ve never seen Top Chef. I imagine they use the same word that Gordon Ramsay does over and over. Pretty funny to see him describe someone’s restaurant and have 2/3 of the description bleeped out. ;)
Love the song… I am going to download it now. Thanks for sharing!
Now HER, I love..never heard her before, but I love her style of singing.
Hey, totally not related, but as I was driving down the highway by myself, singing my heart out with Troy and Gabriella, I thought some might think I’m crazy.
But then I remembered that you would totally get it!

Oh! Top Chef makes my heart sing (and my mouth watah).
OK so you are way more diverse than me….never new Starbucks had “food”, never heard of that great singer, and haven’t ever watch Top Chef. I need to get out more I guess. LOL Jill
Well, I’m not gonna write you a love song, but excellent call on Many The Miles. And I may or may not have been busted during the only lyrics/no music background part on 2 occasions. Please. I can be a rockstar in my car. Or living room. Allegedly.
What a wonderful song! and she has a beautiful voice. How did you find this great song and artist??
Thank you SO MUCH for posting about Top Chef – I hadn’t realized it was starting! I’ve already gotten my husband to set up the DVR to record it (since I’ll never be able to stay awake to watch it live). Can’t wait to watch it!
Totally a Top Chef fan, too. But um…I’m not too hopefully for better language. I mean, it’s Top Chef NEW YORK this go round!
So excited Top Chef is back.
And, by the way, Sophie, I am real tired today. You wanna know why? Because I could not go to bed last night until I found out if NeNe was gonna call her supposed dad…
and a full DVR awaits.
You are such a bad influence on me.
I almost forgot about Top Chef. THANK YOU!
I was so so tempted to try that oatmeal on Sunday. Starbucks is our bi-monthly mom and daughters treat before church. I can’t afford it every week. I was looking longingly at the oatmeal and wondering, how many millions of dollar is that I wonder. I would not even look at the menu because I did not want it to be affordable. I do *not* need any additional reasons to visit Starbucks!
I feel almost guilty ordering the oatmeal at Starbucks because it’s only oatmeal but the little packet of toppings with a latte is just heavenly.
Okay..I love the oatmeal at Starbucks…love it…now I would rather have an orange cranberry scone but the oatmeal is healthy!!

That Sara Bareilles sure does have a set of pipes. I also like her song Bottle It Up!
Hmmm…I’ve stared half asleep at the oatmeal at Starbucks wondering if I should give it a try. You may have convinced me. ^..^
my dvr is already set for Top Chef. i AGREE – i wish they would tame their potty mouths!
I LOVE the oatmeal at sbux, too. I have to have all three toppings. Who could choose just one? A perfect way to start the day.

I love Top Chef! Well actually, I love pretty much all the Bravo shows! hello Real Housewives of Atlanta – I too am a housewife in Atlanta, however, I do not regularly spend $14,500 on a bracelet or $100 on a baby t-shirt . . .
Just wish Starbucks had a drive through!
