About three or four months ago I heard a song by a guy named Daniel Renstrom. Daniel had a free song download on Brody Harper‘s blog, and since Brody and I have worked on several blog-related things together this past year, I’d made a point to check out Daniel’s song. I trust Brody’s musical judgment, you see.
Still with me? Good.
So I listened to Daniel’s song. Loved it. Emailed Brody and told him I loved it. Brody relayed the message to Daniel. Daniel sent me a free copy of his CD via iTunes because he’s nice like that. I listened to the whole thing (it’s an EP with six songs, so it’s easy to listen to the whole thing in one sitting). LOVED IT. Because in addition to the fact that Daniel has a phenomenal voice, his lyrics are tremendous. Deep. Thought-provoking. Saturated with Truth. Grounded in the Gospel.
And three months later, I still can’t quit listening.
So needless to say, I’m TICKLED to be able to share Daniel’s CD Adore and Tremble with y’all today. Daniel’s an independent artist, so this giveaway is coming straight out of his pocket. And I’m hoping more than anything that this giveaway will expose his music to people who haven’t heard of him before. Plus, you know, if you wanted to buy a CD or nine, that would be great, too. It would be an EXCELLENT stocking stuffer or a great way to treat yourself because, well, YOU ROCK.
Here’s what you do to enter the giveaway:
1) Click here or here to check out samples from Adore And Tremble.
2) Listen to the samples.
3) Come back here and tell me which song is your favorite. If you run into unexpected technical difficulties and can’t get the songs to play for some reason (or if you’re at work and feel that playing music on the job isn’t your strongest option), just tell me the name of your favorite singer / songwriter.
4) Then maybe go back here or here and marvel that you could own such quality music for such a low, low price (can you tell I have a soft spot for talented independent singer / songwriters? THEY NEED OUR SUPPORT, PEOPLE).
5) That’s all.
This giveaway will be open until Friday, November 21st, at which point I’ll draw for ten lucky winners!
Thanks for playing, interpeeps. And enjoy, y’all.

I like “At the Cross.” I am so excited that he is here in NC.
Listened to about five seconds and clicked “buy album” in iTunes, because I just can’t wait. Thanks for the giveaway, BooMama!
Awww.. hard to choose a favorite. But I really like At the Cross.
Thanks.
I love all the songs. I think Quietly is my favorite.
You trust Brody’s taste, I trust yours…just makes sense to enter! ;)
Oops forgot to state my favorite: At The Cross.
Hi. Dial up, you know. So, my favorite songwriter right now is whoever it is who sings that country song, “You’re Gonna Miss This”. Good reminder already this morning and it’s only 7:40 in the AM. Thanks for the giveaway!
I’m a “can’t listen ’cause at work” gal. =( But I’ll come back when I get home. But favorite songwriter is probably Nichole Nordeman. LOVE. HER.
Thanks for posting the non-iTunes link! I loved At the Cross (was that the title? I just forgot it…sheesh!).
Thanks Boo Mama!
Broken Cisterns. I love LOVE independent artists!!
Thanks for the music! I needed to hear “At the Cross” today!
At the Cross. Daniel is really using his talents to glorify God – Yeah!
Oh, I love it too! At the Cross and Where Could I go are my faves. Since today is my birthday, I think this qualifies me as the winner! :-) Ah, just kidding.
Sophie, thank you for introducing us to Daniel. May God continue to use Him in a mighty way for His glory!
I like Quietly.
Carol in NC
I really love his voice. My favorite song is Broken Cistern, but I really like them all.
Thanks,
Laurie
Hey! You don’t have to enter me in the giveaway, but I just had to come over for a big ole
ROLL TIDE! You don’t mind, do you?!
I love Broken Cisterns!
I think Quietly is my favorite, but it was hard to choose.
Thanks for making it available.
Shana
Oh my…Broken Cirsterns is amazing! Thanks for always keeping me up to date with needs to be going into my ears. :)
I love “quietly”! and i love shelly moore!
I loved Broken Cisterns! Wow.
Thanks for sharing this incredible music. Love your site. Love your recipes. Can’t wait to try that corn bread recipe out!!
Take care,
Debra
He has an amazing voice! Thank you for sending us over there to hear it! I loved “Quietly” because lately, I can’t get enough of all the quiet!
I like At the Cross. Thanks for introducing us to new music!
I think “Broken Cisterns” is my favorite. I was really captured by the small portion of that song; it’s a beautiful concept.
I like “adore and tremble”. I like hearing about new music. Thanks!
Hmm.. it’s a tie between “Quietly” and “Broken Cisterns”. I do love me some Jesus music, too… as evidenced by the player on my blog. One of my favorite “new” artists is Chris Sligh (from American Idol).. I absolutely love his song “Empty Me”. And Chris Tomlin’s “Jesus Messiah” is just incredible. Rock on, sister!
Sounds good….I liked them all.
At the Cross may be my fave.
Love to find new artists.
Thanks for the tip.
Ms Cutting Edge!
At The Cross!
I love U2. I also love the lyrics of REM. Mindy Smith is awesome in her rendition of Jolene, and she has a song about losing her Mom to cancer, “One Moment More” I think is the title, but I am at work so..can’t check it out, it will make you cry and your heart hurt (and call your Mom, twice, if you can).
Looking for some Christian music to latch onto. I do love Travis and Unashamed Love CD… he rocks it out at the end!
At the Cross was my favorite – soulful and worshipful. (are those real words???)
I think my daughter would love this. She is in that independent artist category. Just put some videos of her from Sunday on my blog. She has saved her money to make a CD such as this, so we know how hard it is. Now to find the right studio engineer. I may have to buy 9 of these just out of respect for the whole process and because it is GOOD.
I liked Adore and Tremble and Broken Cistern. Thanks for the recommendation of a new artist!
I love Broken Cisterns and I also liked tremble and adore … ok and at the cross … ok so I liked them all :)
Adore and Tremble & Where I Go are my favorites…But I really love them all!

Hard to pick a favorite. I think At the Cross would edge out, though. All have such personal messages.
I have been longing for some new music. For whatever reason, I couldn’t get these clips to play. But most of the music you feature is right up my alley, so count me in. I love Third Day, Mercy Me, Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban. And most any new worship stuff from Vineyard and/or Hillsong that is out there.
Children aren’t quiet enough for me to hear anything right now! I love Nicole Nordeman for her amazing lyrics–such truth. I like it when songs “speak to me” at different points in my life. Thanks for the giveaway!
I loved “Quietly”……he is really good. I think I need to get a couple of those cd’s. Thanks for the link!
I am liking them all yet Where Could I Go is stirring my soul – all 30 seconds of it!
I like them all but “Let Us Love and Sing and Wonder” is my favorite so far!
I’m a can’t listen at work reader. I will definitely check this out at home. I love some good music.
My favorite band is Third Day.
Adore and Tremble…… but I am not sure I can wait to see if I win before I buy it!
Beautiful! I like Quietly best I think.
I love all of it…I think At the Cross is my favorite-est.
At the Cross!!
Second post… just had to say that I didn’t realize that site was going out of business; I’ve ordered from them before. I ended up ordering Renstrom’s CD, along with ones from Chris Tomlin, Newsong, MaryMary (Shackles!) and Sandi Patty (Christmas music.. yum!). It all came to around $20 including shipping, so they have some amazing deals. Thanks for the hot tip on a new artist AND great deals!
I have listened to this CD for a year now… and every time I have a different favorite! I think “Where Can I Go”…
Great music! I love them all but really like the song Quietly.
Thanks for the chance to win
Blessings

We love Daniel’s music. He has an incredible ability to write deep theologically sound music that causes you to think of the amazing grace of the Gospel. Ok so he is my brother but I would still say the same thing anyway. Thanks for sharing Dan’s music with all of your readers.
Where Could I Go.
Will it help if I mention the 21st is my birthday? = )
At the Cross is my favorite. such beautiful truths in his music. thanks for the introduction. BTW made your cornbread tonight–delicious!!!!
title track is great, but i can hear “let us love and sing…” becoming the next new p&w song in churches everywhere. anything nathan nockels is involved with, is surely quality.
but come on, now 70% off? who won’t pay 3.99 for 6 great songs? thanks for pointing us to this amazing artist :)
can’t pick a favorite…but I like his sound a lot. My most favorite indy artist is Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers (we’ve seen him in concert 8x in 18 months!)They are a good ol’ rock-n-roll band infused with all sorts of SW Sonoran Desert goodness.
At The Cross!!!!
Quietly is definitely my favorite, but it was still hard to choose!
Thanks for hosting this giveaway. I’m having a giveaway this week too. Stop by and take a peek!
My favorite is At the Cross. I really do like Quietly too!!!! So hard to pick just one.
I really like “At the Cross”.
I liked Where Could I Go, they all sound good…..and a good deal too!
My favorite is “At the Cross.” It’s there that we are truely forgiven!
Thanks, Dan, for being open to Christ’s message through song.
Can’t get it to play as I’m out of the country right at this moment! But a favorite songwriter is Matt Redman. Another indie favorite is Justin Fox of Justin Fox Band. Have you heard him? Great stuff.
I LOVE THEM ALL!
Wow! I liked them all. I will go with At the Cross. But I really like them all!
I really liked Broken Cisterns.
I’d love to listen but running into tech difficulties.
Right now, I’ve been listening to lots of John Denver.
Definitely Broken Cisterns!
Also having some technical difficulties listening. But I was able to listen to “At the Cross” on Youtube, so I guess that is my favorite for now!
I love “Adore and Tremble.” My husband and I have been Daniel fans for sometime and love that other people are getting to listen to his amazing music!!!
My computer won’t let me listen to all of the songs but “Where Could I Go?” is great!
Loved the one that had the word Tremble in it! I think I have short term memory loss- can’t remember the other word, for cryin out loud!
Thanks for the giveaway! I like At The Cross. Thanks for introducing me to this artist!
They were all great but I liked Quietly the best.
It’s very hard to choose but I liked Quietly the best.
How wonderful to find a new Christian artist! I was lead to your blog by a godly womean I dearly respect that has had so much influnce on the growing and changing realationship with Christ in my life.
