Kohl’s Gift Card Giveaway

Now I know – I KNOW – that lately there have been more giveaways than usual around these bloggy parts. But since it’s Christmas, and since the economy has, um, taken a bit of a hit this year, I’ve been a little more giveaway-ish than I normally am. Because I figure that every little bit helps, you know?

So when the people from Kohl’s asked if I might like to give away a gift card, I was all, “OKAY!” I know lots of y’all are dedicated Kohl’s shoppers and can work a Kohl’s coupon like nobody’s sweet business, so I thought a little Kohl’s cheer was definitely in order.

The Kohl’s people also told me that they have a handy little widget you can download straight to your desktop so that you get up-to-the-minute information on all the latest deals. If you’re interested in the widget, you can download it right here; it’ll look just like this on your computer:

As you can see, it is quite fancy.

Anyway, if you’d like to win a $50 Kohl’s gift card, you have to do three things:

1. Click over to the Kohl’s website.
2. Look around.
3. Come back here and leave a comment telling what you’d buy with the gift card.

Now isn’t that just as easy as can be?

This giveaway will only be open until Thursday, December 11 at noon central time, so get to clickin’, internets!

Have fun!

This giveaway is now closed.

  1. Jennifer Casey says:

I would love to say I’d spend it on someone else, but I would probably buy myself something. Just keepin’ it real. And at 8 months pregnant, I don’t think clothes (maternity or otherwise) would be a prudent purchase. So, I’d go with the always sensible shoes. And maybe throw in something for the house just to be practical.

  2. The Croft and Barrow crinkled charmeuse blouse!

  3. I wanted to get a wagon for my little one and had no idea they carried them!! Sign me up!!

  4. I could use a new pair of jeans. :)

  5. Probably some nice church clothes (warm) and shoes for my daughter. We had our first good cold front, and couldn’t go to church because my six year old has outgrown all her church stuff!

  6. pajamas!
i’d buy my kids warm christmas pj’s!

  7. Shoes!! I would buy me some shoes because MOMMA NEEDS A NEW PAIR OF SHOES! (My only pair of everyday shoes is beginning to wear out.) *sniff, sniff* I loved those shoes.

I’m so indecisive and I love shoes so much, I’m not sure which ones I’d pick until I got in there, tried each of them on, walked around a bit, whispered to them, held them tight and played eeny meeny miny mo. :P

  8. I would get a new sweater for my daughter!

  9. The Bert and Ernie building set would be perfect for my son.

  10. I’m thinking the MIA2 Almudena Flats and/or SO® Naxos Wedge Shoes, love them both, can’t decide.

    Thx

  11. I love the ornaments! I never have enough.
    Too much fun! Merry Christmas!
    Chrissie

  12. No clothes for me! I’d head to the kitchen department. Air popper. New tabletop grill.

Hubs worked for Kohls for a short time — in the customer service dept. People would return things, months after they bought them. By that time, the selling price had gone down, down down. That was such a great time of getting good stuff for us. Wonderful sheet sets for $6. Classy clothes (this was before kids, when we actually gave a moment’s thought to our apparel), stuff like that.

  13. I’d buy my daughter a new sweater and a necklace since most of her clothes don’t fit after having her first baby 1 month ago. I want her to feel pretty again!

  14. Cindy Sherritt says:

Well, I love Kohl’s Martex 300 thread count sheets and I could really use a new pair of Gloria Vanderbelt bootcut jeans.

    Cindy

  15. Our daughter is afraid of riding a bike since we took off the training wheels. Yikes! She’s 7 already, but small for her age. So, I’m thinking that Kohl’s Pacific Cycle 20-in. Twirl Bike
might be the big motivator. That’s what I’d buy!

  16. Oh, there is so much I would LOVE to buy…but, really all my shoes have fallen apart on me and I am in dire need of some black boots and tennis shoes! So, I can look classy in black and also get to exercising all my holiday cheer that is sticking onto my hips! :-)

    Bella

  17. Most likely, I would buy clothes. I especially like the pirate map boxers for my hubby. ;-)

  18. Love the children’s dept at Kohl’s! I would buy my 11-month-old daughter shoes, because she has already outgrown all of hers. And for me, new clothes because I don’t think I’ll ever fit into my prepregnancy size again.

  19. KitchenAid Mixer…for sure!

  20. I would take the Elle Shirred skirt. I need skirts!

    K

  21. today, i looked at shoes. but i make no promises what kind of mood I would be in with a gift card in my hand!

  22. christmas bowls to go with my christmas dishes. Because after I put up the regular dishes and put out the christmas dishes, my daughter pointed out that we have no microwaveable bowls. and heaven only knows we cannot survive the holiday season without microwaveable bowls.

  23. a kitchen aid mixer!!!!

    thanks, boomama!

  24. michelle g says:

I’m would like a red purse!!! or to get the kids some clothes!!!

  25. Clothes for the kiddos.

  26. Man, at Kohls, I’d buy just about anything. I love their clothes!

  27. I’d have to go for some nice church clothes. Can’t say exactly what b/c I’d need to try things on, but I’m thinking nice gray or black pants with a bright green top (christmas-y, but not too much). Merry, Merry!

  28. I would buy my daughter some clothes. She’s almost 16 and has just recently discovered that she cares about clothes. At least she was a late bloomer. :) Jeans and t-shirts were so much easier.

  29. My husband has been without a job since August. So we are just trying to buy the absolute essentaials. My son is growing and really needs some new shoes and or boots. I would use the money to buy him shoes.

    Thanks!

  31. Ohiomom9977 says:

I would get some new clothes – especially some warm pajamas and jeans that fit me better!!

  32. Two men’s sweaters that are on sale, one red and one tan!

  33. Pajamas for the kids – you can never have enough warm snuggly pajamas in the winter!

  34. There are some Nike running shoes I’d love or boots for my kids or some new picture frames or….the list goes on!

    Gretchen N.

  35. I am so torn…between the cute, cute sweaters (which I don’t need) and the cookware (which I do need). So…maybe both! I’ll be helping the economy, right?!

  36. This time of the year I feel blessed because we are so fortunate as a family and really “need” nothing. I would use the gift card to buy toys to donate to the Toys For Tots drive.

  37. I think I’d get the AB Studio plaid coat. Or a handbag. Or some more shoes. I don’t know! I’d probably hit the clearance rack and get as many things as possible. I hope the random number generator has magical powers and realizes that winning this would be an excellent birthday present!

  38. My girl would be even more adorable in the little lass floral jacket set and the bubble jacket set.
    Oh My Word!

  39. I would get the red Columbia jacket
that my daughter is eyeing. She is
getting married in April, so we’re trying
to get her stocked up and tuned up before she becomes someone else’s responsibility!
    It’s a Mom-thing!

  40. i like to frequent the kohls store and there is a sweater there i would like to get, or i will be hitting the store after christmas for some lovely bargains!

  41. I would get a new pair of jeans and hit the clearance rack! You gotta love Kohl’s!

  42. The Elle Herringbone Jacket
    …boots…shoes…handbags…
    All for me…
Oh! The self-focus here…how ugly this time of year…and yet as soon as I win this gift card from Kohl’s, I will start thinking of other people.
    Really.

  43. Mama needs a new pair of boots!

  44. I’d go for the GPX iLive boombox for ipod. I’ve been dying for one of these so that I can hear the kids calling me AND listen to my music! Hmmm… maybe not hearing the kids is not so bad…

  45. Tony Hawk stuff for my son! :0)

  46. My kids need winter boots before it snows again.

  47. I desperately need some new dress shoes. My closet is so pitiful :)

  48. I would buy a new coffee pot to replace my 10 year old Mr. Coffee so my kids won’t make fun of it when they come home!

  49. I really NEED a new coat, but what I’d rather buy with the gift card is the pendant jewelry or some cool bracelets. Kohls has great jewelry. Or, I’d buy a new purse. :)

  50. I’d put it towards new bedding for our bedroom. Candie’s Isadora might be the one….

  51. Too easy, I’d totally indulge myself and my daughter to some kicky new sweaters!!!

  52. I would buy my kids some super cute clothes to wear to our Christmas Eve service. Otherwise they’ll just be wearing sort of cute clothes :).

  55. I would use it to buy items to fill the gift baskets that me and my girlfriend are making to give to homeless people this Christmas.

  56. I happen to love the purse selection at Kohl’s. So that’s where I would head if I had an extra 50 bucks!! It’s something I look at every time I am out shopping. But this time of year it’s not all about me is it?? lol

    Hugs,
    Marie

  57. Sweaters!! I’m in desperate need of winter clothes this year.

  58. I would buy my fiance some new brown dress socks. He’s on a limited budget as we prepare to get married and he’s been re-wearing the same socks over and over again until he’s able to wash them. It’s kind of pitiful.

  59. Well, after careful consideration I thought a suit coat for my husband would be in order. The Bert Pulitzer Herringbone Wool Suit Coat would be fine. Poor man, he’s a pastor and has five daughters. The guy never gets any new clothing! And he deserves it the most . . .

    xox

  60. I would use it towards a new set of luggage. Mine bit the dust last week while on a trip!

  61. I’d give the Kohl’s card to my daughter to spend as she wishes for her 13th bd. It’s her most favoritest store!

  72. Kohl’s!!!! Oh so many choices. I think I would buy myself some new clothes. Of course I would love some new bath towels so I could …or shoes…I can’t decide. I love Kohl’s and the fact that it is only 4 minutes from my house. Thanks!

  73. I would buy a hand mixer, mine has give up the struggle after all these years. That would be my plan, but I would be open to any ideas my Heavenly Father might have.

Love and Blessings, Debbie in Tennessee

  74. Oh, Kohl’s! How fun! I like to think I’d get something for the kids, but I might get distracted by all the lovely sweaters!

  75. I have lately been drooling over the Cuisinart Grind & Brew Thermal Automatic Coffee Maker. It is just a tad over $50, but perhaps if I had a $50 gift card, I could justify the rest of the expense to dh? Maybe?

  76. I would buy PJ’s and clothes for our family.

  77. I’d buy pants for my husband who so desperately needs new work slacks. This would surely help.

  83. i love kohls — i wish there was one closer to us in our big city. i have to dry at least 20-ish minutes to get to one, but unfortunately, it’s not close to anything else for us. i know, i know, 20 minutes isn’t that far . . .

but, there’s one closer to my parents and in-laws! i’d probably buy a sweater for myself. as i’m back to pre-pregnancy weight this winter, i am in need of some light-weight sweaters/shirts.

  84. BABY NEEDS A NEW PAIR OF SHOES! (Always…)

  85. I have a brand new baby this Christmas (he is a month old). And since he is the 2nd and has an older brother, I’d love to win this to buy something new for him. I’d maybe get the Disney Winnie the Pooh Walker (we didn’t get one of those for our first child) or some new outfits or books.

  86. Well, definitely for starters the Handy Manny tools for our 3 year old guy. After all, “Handy Manny” called him personally when he started potty training (it’s funny how Handy Manny had a Southern accent and sounded a little like my husband, hmmm…)! Thanks for another fun give away.

As for thoughts on The Office, I just loved Michael’s bargain tie from TJ Maxx and Angela’s passionate kiss before visiting her attorney, and poor, poor, clueless Andy!

  87. Well, I might purchase that Handy Manny toy set for my little boy. Or, since my kids’ Christmas shopping is all done already, I might get myself a waffle iron or panini press, or some other kitchen thingy. I love kitchen thingies. 88. Death star starwars transformer would be delightful.

  89. I’d buy a George Foreman grill!

  90. Oh I love Kohl’s, lots of fun things to buy there! I would get some new jeans and a top to go with it.

  92. I’d buy sweet little Carter’s outfits for my daughter!

  93. Maternity clothes or get-ready-for-baby stuff
