– My friends over at Culture11 are kicking off their 2009 Ladyblogger Awards. A panel of REAL LIVE JUDGES will evaluate / narrow down the list of nominees, and voting will begin January 19th. You can find a list of judging criteria right here. This is a perfect opportunity to nominate a blogger who might not have a lot of traffic but consistently provides excellent content on her blog.

In other Culture11 news, Shannon and I are working on a really fun project with them – so stay tuned.

(edited because I completely mixed up the award procedures thanks to my mad reading comprehension skillz)

– I’ve been listening to Andrew Peterson’s “Resurrection Letters Volume II” for a couple of months now, and y’all, it is so stinkin’ brilliant. Check it out for yourself.

Travis Cottrell is recording a live worship CD in Atlanta on January 25th, and guess what? You are totally invited.

  1. Oooh, ooh, I could maybe even make that Travis Cottrell recording! I’ve gone to FBCW for preschool workshops in the past, and it isn’t TOO much of a haul for me, maybe 39 minutes. Heck, I’m heading up to that Tea Leaves and Thyme teashop in Woodstock tomorrow… so I DO go to Woodstock! Thanks, BooMama… I owe you one!

  2. oh man…a live TC concert would be so fabulous! i’ve only seen him once at a living proof live. too bad i don’t live closer!

  3. I read on Twitter that Travis was headed to a little town outside Harrisburg a few Fridays back. So I jumped on his site to find that he was going to be doing a concert at the church I attended all throughout college… (My inlaws live minutes from it)

How sad I was to find I couldn’t make the trip home in enough time to attend the concert.

Thanks for the heads up about the Live Taping. I’m looking into flights TODAY. I would love to be a part of that.

    Are you going Sophie?

  4. Oh my goodness, would ya’ll please quit talking about Travis recording live! I’m never gonna get a seat! (I am truly only kidding about the stop talking about it thing. I’m not kidding about not being able to get a seat.) For some crazy reason Mr. Humble thinks that no one is interested in what he is doing and no one will show up and blah blah blah. (I’m the crazy person who searched my entire area for a Ring the Bells CD for a friend, right before Christmas, to find out that everyone had sold out! ) I feel certain people will start waiting in line as soon as the morning worship service is over, becauase HELLO, no tickets required???

As you can tell I absolutely love me some Travis. I’m going to try and make it to the recording, but haven’t been able to nail down definite plans yet. And I would be oh so disappointed if I drove that far only to be turned away at the door.

  5. Oh, how I love Andrew Peterson’s music. I haven’t heard this newest CD yet, but I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

  6. Woo Hoo!!
A bit o heaven on earth!
I can hardly wait until the 25th!

  7. I will be there with my mom and two sisters! Can’t wait!

  8. p.s. I love your name!! That is my baby girl’s name!!

  9. Thanks a lot Boomama…..now I guess me & my friends are going to have to camp out all night to get seats. We were PLANNING to leave for Woodstock right after church, not the night before, but Travis is totally worth it.
