Several weeks ago I got an email asking if I’d like to try to HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier (be sure to memorize the official name because there will be a test at the end of this giveaway). Since I haven’t had a printer for about, oh, EIGHT YEARS, I quickly answered the email and said, “Yes, please.” Because I figured having a printer of my own might be a smidge more convenient than sending attachments to my husband and asking him to print them for me. Which is pretty much how I’ve run this operation from the get-go. All fancy-like, you know.
The printer arrived early last week, and while I was thrilled to try it, I wasn’t nearly as thrilled as my daddy, who happened to be visiting and COULD NOT WAIT to open the printer box. In fact, he was the one who unpacked everything and unwrapped all the manuals and whathaveyou, and I’m pretty sure that if I’d offered to give him the printer he would have done some hitchkicks in my dining room.
(Not that he’s really the hitchkicking type, you understand. But he was mighty impressed by everything the HP C6380 can do. I think it was the first time he’s ever thought this whole blogging thing just might have some merit, and that is totally fine because I know how deeply new electronics speak to the heart of every man.)
Later that night I got a chance to really put the printer to the test, and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up. For some reason I still expect to have to enter some MS-DOS commands when I install new software, but the HP installation was easy breezy and over in just a few minutes. Plus, it’s a wireless printer, so I didn’t even have to fool with any pesky cords. I have the printer neatly tucked away in an area where it’s pretty much out of sight (I’m not a fan of the electronic clutter), and it works like a dream.
And the next day, that sassy new printer really made a believer out of me. I realized that I’d forgotten to pick up a birthday card for a friend, and I was just about to pull out a piece of stationery and write a note when I realized WAIT! I HAVE A PRINTER NOW! I CAN MAKE A CARD!
Sometimes it’s the little things, you know?
So I went to the HP website and found a card I liked and printed it out right then and there. IT WAS A WONDER, not to mention that it was quite a bit more professional-looking than when I used to print out cards on my daddy’s dot-matrix printer when I was in high school.
We have given our HP printer a work-out this last week, and it’s been such a treat. The wireless feature is fab, and I’m so excited about scanning in old pictures (something else I’ve never been able to do because I’ve never owned a scanner before, which pretty much makes me an embarrassment to the entire internet). It probably goes without saying that I’m tickled that we now have a piece of home-office equipment that does everything we need.
(Except it doesn’t wash windows or do laundry.)
(I imagine that it will be several years before they add those particular features.)
SO, if you’d like to win an HP Photosmart C6380 printer of your very own, leave a comment on this post and tell me how this printer would make your life easier. This contest will remain open until Sunday, February 8th at 11:59 pm.
And if you’d like additional chances to win, check out the BlogHer HP giveaway round-up page.
Have fun, everybody!

Oh the goodness of this item! Please be mine!
That would be really cool! My scanner is on the blink after 10 years…would be great to have the combo as a replacement.
Wireless? How cool is that? Office clutter be gone!
I love having access to a great printer–and wireless is amazing!
HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier
:)
I would love to win this printer. I am a mom of 4 plus I teach sunday school and do home daycare. I have definatly worn the wheels off my current printer!!!! Thanks for the chance to win.
I would HEART a new printer for my madre and padre! Their current printer is about to kill me because it is always on the blitz and they are always like, “Fix it,” and I pretty much unplug it from the wall, plug it back in and hit “power.” Then it doesn’t work and the parents ask, “Why?” and I just shrug. Then the printer will work days later.
I don’t think it realized when it was purchased it was for full-time work, not part-time labor.
I would love to have a wireless printer. We have a printer on our home network. But, it is upstairs. I homeschool our son and half the time his laptop loses the connection to the network printer. This would make life much easier for me.
I just got Internet & a laptop at my house. Sadly no printer yet. I would love a wireless one!
The wireless feature of this printer would be so helpful for me for my laptop – presently if I wish to print from it I have to disconnect and reconnect the USB cable on our desktop computer.
Thanks for the Giveaway!
1) I could stop sending “will you please print this and bring it home” emails to my husband.
2) I could scan all of my daughter’s paintings and get rid of some of this clutter.
3) I could make copies of the worksheets in our homeschool curriculum rather than using the originals.
(This would make my whole year.)
I hate having to drag my computer upstairs to our outdated printer when I want to copy something. Having a wireless one would just be heavenly! Thanks for the chance!
Im just swooning over the fact that its wireless. So many times I’ve been in the living room with the laptop and needed to print; which really interrupts my state of comfort on the couch with the laptop. This would just be so handy dandy!
If I had that printer I could actually have photos of my kids in my house, not all filed away in random places on my computer~!
This printer would make my life so much easier because right now hubby and I don’t even have a printer and we are always running over to my parents’ house to print! It is awful!
I would be able to print RIGHT HERE at home!!! :)
We are currently renovating our house. I am not sure that our printer is going to work after I clean off all of the drywall dust! Wireless would be WONDERFUL!
I love that it’s wireless, I need a scanner, I’d love to print pictures and cards….. oh it would help this mom A LOT. Thanks!!!
We’re missionaries…so having this type of printer would help us save money on photo printing AND having to make random trips to the mall to get it done. :-)
Since I no longer work outside the home, I have no way to make a copy when I need one. This would be great!
Wow! I would LOVE – and I mean LOVE – a wireless printer so I wouldn’t have to trek down 2 flights of stairs to print out my coupons!
I don’t have a scanner right now, but it sure would be helpful!
Our printer is very ancient and having a new one that is reliable and best of all, wireless, would be awesome!
OOH OOH ME ME!!We NEED this really bad! My daughter loves to make crafts and they would print out so much nicer with this one!!!
I have so many cords due to upgrading my computer and not my printers…..yeah, a wireless printer just might keep a permanent smile on my face :)
THANKS!!
I’m printer-less at the moment. I usually ask my husband to print for me. It’s such a pain. I’d love to have a scanner, I’ve never owned one but know I would sure use it. Thanks for the chance to win this :-)
Oh my…scrapbooking, photos, scanning and saving precious kids art work…the sky’s the limit!! Would love to give it a go :)
We have a ton of digital pictures that I would love to picture off and get into a scrapbook. This would aid me in doing that!
OMGOODNESS!! Just last night, as I was trying to make a copy on our 20 year old, hand-me-down personal copier, (Ohh, it was top of the line way back when!!) I was thinking, maybe we can save up a little bit to get one of them fancy HP doohicky-majigs!! Please, please let it be me!! ; )
Oh my goodness. I homeschool so this would be awesome!!!!
Sign me up baby. I’m six months behind on printing pictures and the procrastinator in me is recognizing that it’s not going to be caught up soon. Also Dave Ramsey.
would love this!
I’m in! I currently have two small kids and everybody wants a copy of their docs. Every time, I drag the kids out to the library to make copies of their birth certificates etc. Sure would make things easier!
Oh pretty pretty please??! My husband sighs when he answers the phone at work now because he knows I am going to ask him to print something. A wireless printer would change my life. ;)
OH MY Goodness!! OH MY Goodness!! I need that copier, printer, scanner… piece of awesomeness :)
This printer COMBO would change my printing life as it were. I have cock my head just right and hold up a leg to get my current printer to um, print.
This would come in handy.
This printer would come in handy around my house. I have two teenagers, both with their own computers…plus my own and it would be nice for them to be able to wirelessly print whatever they need without having to jump through hoops to do so by having to send it to me or hook up their computers to my printer. I love that this one also does away with the cords…Sounds wonderful.
Dear goodness, this would be nice. The LCD screen on our printer went kaput about two years ago. Past warranty, so no repair. Because repairs cost money. And a new printer costs money. You see the issue. I haven’t been able to print photos because I can’t see what mode I’m switching to because the screen is dead! Luckily, when it died it was on normal, print-out-the-black-and-white-copy-onto-regular-paper mode. So, at least it still works to do that. But, I can’t scan. I can’t print cool photos and frame them like all my hip friends. Nothing. (Does this sound whiney enough?) This would make my life WONDERFUL! No more having to call my friend, “Can I come scan this at your house? And then will you email it to me?” Please, PLEASE pick me to win this!!!! It would help not only my family of six, but also my friend who scans things for me… as well as my church where I have to go print out other things and make copies. See? You’d be helping a whole SLEW of people here. (I like that word. It’s fun to say. Slew.)
Oh, this might actually help me get some of my long lost photos off of my computer. What a great prize!
having the amazing and wonderful HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier would allow me to expand my ministry and stay in better touch with some estranged family members (yes….i pulled the dysfunctional family card!)
I’m a teacher, so I would use this printer a lot. What fun.
This printer would make me very happy. Our printer currently spits out paper and has a very high pitched whine when it prints that tends to send one searching for cotton balls to stick in ones ears.
This printer could benefit our home business and our ear health.
Our printer just died and our scanner doesn’t work w/ our laptops! Oh puh-lease! =)
It’s not so much what this printer CAN do, but what my current printer CAN’T do. Oh, please please please, random number generator, please pick me!!!
I would love the printer, because it would be awesome to have one AT MY DESK (yes, i’d use it at work) vs. having to walk to the next building to retrieve what i’ve printed. Whoo hoo! I love how sleek it is (i’m a sucker for a shiny electronic device!)
A new HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier is exunctly what I wanted for my birthday. I even memorized the name, just because I love it. HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier, HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier, See? The name of it makes me wax poetic: I can say it upside down, I can say it out of town, I can say it in a whine, I can say it ’till it’s mine! I so want it in the box because this printer really rocks! Okay, that’s Dr. Suess, not poetic, but I’ve read Suess to six children, what kind of poetry do you expect?
We are definitely in the market for something like this! We would use it for school everyday for sure.
We were finally able to buy our computer for our home . . . but the printer is on hold . . . this would be such a blessing.
Ooh, I’d love one!! :)
I have an old cheap Dell printer that came free with a laptop about 3 years ago. It is broken – you have to prop it up by something to feed the paper. It is so slow.
This would make my life easier because I am about to start doing some work from home helping my husband with some investment stuff. I need a good printer that is fast. I also want a wireless printer.
Thanks!
Just ‘happened’ upon your blog today… ; )
My hubs and I have been talking about getting a printer for years….we would love one! Hubs is one of the music leaders at our church (we have more than one service) and he is always trying to find a place to print off lyric/cord sheets for the other musicians (I think it’s inappropriate for him to use his printer at work, so he gets the ‘eye’ when he brings stuff home).
I SO need this printer so that I can scrapbook all the pictures in my computer. I’m so behind because I NEED this printer to do it. Oh, please let me have it.
Thanks for this chance! Our old Hewlett Packard is a little, er, geriatric. And a scanner? What a fancy invention.
I would love this!
Thanks for having all these fun giveaways!
Oh pick me! I am always having to have my husband copy and scan things for me at his work! This would really simplify life!
I just got my first digital camera and this would be awesome to have!
Would so love this!! Can never underestimate the usefulness of having a printer like that!
Oh boy, I could surely use this… I have approximately a billion genealogy documents to scan! Thanks for the giveaway chance!
I would love this!! I have a laptop but no printer…I email things to work to print them. Not the best option but the only one right now!
Thanks for the giveaways!
Great giveaway! The wireless is what would help the most at our house – no more lugging the laptop up the stairs to print!
Easier? It would actually work as opposed to the hunk of plastic currently cluttering up my desk. Which is supposed to scan, but doesn’t for some unobvious reason.
So please, pick me, k? I’d love you more (if that’s possible after reading your crack-me-up Office posts).

I could so use this all-in-one machine! We live in an 800 sq. foot 2 bedroom house with 2 kids and one on the way. I work from home, too, so space saving is KEY! This would be a huge asset for me, not only for the printing features, but especially for the scanning and copying features. I’ve been wanting one for months, but with all the kiddies I haven’t been able to justify the cost. Thanks for doing the give away!
Enter me please!! Very cool.
My current printer is 12 years old and gets a paper jam every other page it attempts to print. It is very exasperating. Also, I will soon be completing transcription school and will be working from home. The paper jamming will become very problematic at that point. A fancy-pants new printer would be oh-so-wonderful!
I would love to have a printer so I could actually print of recipes instead of getting my computer screen all foody while I am cooking!
I would like to be able to print photos from my computer to use for scrapbooking. I can do it now, but I have a cheap printer so the quality isn’t so hot.
This printer would be a blessing to me…our walls are so bare and I need to hang some pictures, but $$ are limited. Thanks!
Since I bought a MacBook, it would be so handy to have a wireless printer!
I would love my very own printer, scanner, copier. I too have to use my husbands copier and scanner whenever the need arises. Thanks.
Oh, scanning bull photos and sending them to the printer… That would be so much easier than the way I fumble around now. And yes, I did say bull pictures – Ranch wife who publishes our sale catalog every spring.
I love HP printers, we have them at work. I would love one for my very own. I have scads, I’m talking scads of pictures I could scan! Thank you for the opportunity.

How wouldn’t this printer make my life easier? Answer me that!!
But, specifically, my current b/w laser printer has to be fed one sheet of paper at a time because more than one sheet and she gets all jammed up…it’s kinda like me when I eat too much queso!
This would be fantastic! I am currently “limping” along with my old scanner/printer combo, which barely functions anymore. What great timing!
It would definitely make life easier because while I do have a printer, it’s connected to our main computer and for the life of my hubbie he cannot figure out the whole wireless network thing which does me no amount of good whatsoever. Every once and awhile I look over at him and throw a pencil at his head. Doesn’t held my printer problems any but it sure does make me feel better :)
I just bought a new printer, so I don’t need one. However, I have a dear, sweet, friend who could really use one and I would give it to her.
I could use this for scrapbooking, and scanning old pictures, and gift making, and card making, and ALLLL sorts of things!
Oooh….oooooh….pick me!!! Please?
Thanks – this would be fun to win!!
I would LOVE to print pictures of my daughter from home!
I want this. BAD. My kids keep shoving things in my printer, like pencils and Cheetos. I need a wireless so I can put it up where they can’t reach it! Oh, and I haven’t had a scanner in years, so that would be great and would keep me from having to drive an hour to my mom’s house to scan photos. :)
My husband I both have laptops, but have never had a printer. We sneakily print things off at work when no one is looking! I would love to have this!
My life would be made easier by virtue of the fact that I woud actually HAVE a copier, printer, and a scanner, let alone a fancy new HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier!
If I win it, though, I will be very tempted to give it to your Daddy, so he could do some hitchkicks.
I have been having printer headaches so this would really make my life easier.
Smiles!
love reading your blog. would love a new printer too!
We’re taking pictures galore and I’m working from home some since our daughter arrived. This printer would be a great addition!
Wow! What a ROCKIN’ givaway! This would make my life easier by giving me the ability to immediately print my pictures for crafts and scrapbooking! Keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed!

I too, have been scanner-less for far too long. How I would love to be able to have that for scanning in pictures and printing pictures PLUS a copier at home! I teach a class online and it would be really nice to have more printing capabilities from home as opposed to sending everything to my daytime teaching job. Oh, and did you say WIRELESS! Count me in! Thanks for the opportunity!
What a fabulous giveaway! We have a laptop which we love, but our printer (NOT wireless) is down in the cold, dark, depressing basement and I hate having to drag the laptop down there to print. This would soooo make my life easier! And having the copy capability is so helpful since we homeschool and need to make a few copies now and then.
I work from home three days a week and have to go to my husbands office to print out what I need because our printer died a few months ago. (tear) :)
What a great giveaway! I do a lot of printing for homeschool and share a printer with my husband who works from home a couple of days a week. Having a printer in the school room would be super convenient!
It would make my classroom prep a breeze!
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this printer! Ours is on the fritz and I have been forwarding all my emails and important things that need to be printed to my Mom at work so that she can print them off and bring them to me! ;) This would be such a lifesaver!
seriously? how it would make my life easier? would save me $$ at the lab. period.
Well, the color part of my printer hasn’t worked in the last couple of months…and so a new one would make my husband’s life easier since I wouldn’t send stuff to work for him to print for me! (smile)
It would my inability to print a reality. My printed died last year, and I have yet to replace it….It would be totally awesome, and my daughter could print out all her school stuff, instead of me having to bring it to work and then back again!! ;-))))
I have been coveting a Photosmart for a while now. I would like to scan and print copies of old family photos, because some of them have started to deteriorate and I’d like to have back-up copies. Also, I’ve realized that the ultrasound pictures from my older children have already started to fade, so I’d like to scan and print good copies of those and the new ultrasound pics of our expected little one. Plus, the Photosmarts are prettier and shinier than your average printer. I have two boys, so whenever I purchase anything I focus on whether it’s sturdy or not. That makes for a very utilitarian decorating scheme. I would love something pretty and shiny, even if it’s a printer :)
OH MY GOODNESS they make wireless printers??!! I had no idea.
Love, The Homeschooling Mother Who Burns Through Paper and Ink Like You Wouldn’t Believe.
Our printer only works when it wants to – during science fair projects I literally put it on the floor and prayed over it. God saw fit to let it last but it is fading quickly.
I would love a printer as I currently don’t even have one! I send anything I need printed to my huband, how sad it that?!
To quote Dory from Finding Nemo, “Pick me, pick me!” LOL. I get tired of saving documents and taking them to the computer that has the printer attached to print and I have to do a lot of printing for Sunday School stuff and newsletters, this would be so handy! Great giveaway!
We need one for our office really badly! I hope we can get it :)
