Eleven Business Herbs & Spices In A Sales Batter

Tonight’s episode of The Office focused on Michael and Pam hitting the road (after Michael’s annoying PA system antics) while Dwight (experiencing a total fashion break-out in his taupe shirt) and Jim tried to plan a late birthday party for Kelly.

Hilarity ensued.

1. “Don’t say ‘bucks.’ That’s not ladylike.”

2. “I think sometimes people are really mean to the hot, popular girl.”

3. “What we have here is the ultimate showdown between the ‘Nard Dog and crippling despair, loneliness and depression.”

4. “What kind of cake do you want, imbecile?”

“Ice cream.”

5. Michael, to a very pregnant Karen: “Is that Jim’s?”

6. “It Is Your Birthday.”

7. “You hurt my feelings. Fortunately my feelings regenerate at twice the speed of a normal man’s.”

8. “You bought it. And now you can’t return it. Or can you?”

9. “Would a liar bring mini Mounds bars?”

10. “Shirty. Mole. Lazy Eye. Mexico. Sugar B**bs. Baldy.”

11. “Old hatreds dissolve into new friendships.”

12. “Have I ever steered you wrong, Jim?”

13. “You wanna talk about it? Go to a mall or something?”

14. Dwight’s balloons.

15. “I have here Kelly Kapoor’s personal and confidential file. Allow me to share.”

Next week? Michael looks for closure. Wouldn’t miss it for the world.

What did y’all think?

  1. i had a meeting tonite at church & somehow totally forgot about “the office”. now i’m “out of control on aisle six” (i just saw that on the left side of your blog). actually, i’m very sad that i missed it but also very sad that karen is pregnant. i’m hoping that tonite revealed that it’s not jim’s???????????
i guess i’ll hafta wait till they post the episode online to catch up. : (

  2. I loved this episode. I laughed out loud several times. The quote from Dwight about his feeling regenerating is my new facebook status. :)

I can’t wait for next week. I miss Holly!

  3. I just loved this episode. I’m really hoping we get to see Holly next week.

  4. You put the bow on that one nicely, once again! :) I also loved when Andy went out to spy in Julia’s car for her music preferences and set off the two car alarms. His bodily flailing was priceless. Pretty good episode. I think they’re on an up-swing. This doesn’t beat last week’s, though.

  5. My favorite: Michael to Karen, “Do you need to pump?”

Great episode! I am totally hoping for a Michael/Holly reunion.

  6. Ah, Dwight, no superfluous punctuation for you, not even an apostrophe. I will be making ab “It is your birthday.” card for my friend’s birthday this month.

  7. I think that was the funniest Office episode yet! I was laughing out loud the entire time. That show makes my week!

    Jen

  8. Kelly Kulich says:

When Pam and Michael are loading in the car and Pam says “In separate rooms” and Michael says “well that goes without saying” and Pam says “I said it.” LOL funny one this week.

  9. Pam throwing the mini Mounds for Michael was priceless. Was definitely worthy of a re-wind!

  10. I always look forward to your recaps to see if you liked (or didn’t) the show as much as I did. I laughed out loud through most of the show last night.. especially ‘sugarboobs’, ‘lazy eye’ etc…… and I am SOOO glad that Karen is happily married and that baby is NOT Jims. Shouldn’t be so invested in a TV show, but that would have broken my heart. Hoping to see Holly next week!

    LOVED. IT.

  11. Not as good as Sunday night’s, but it was still great. Creed’s, “Have I ever steered you wrong, Jim?” was hilarious. I saw a rerun the other day after Jim & Pam got engaged — loved when Creed said, “The tall one’s engaged.”

  12. I thought this was one of the funniest episodes in a while. Especially with Michael’s speech and the birthday. My favorite lines were #1, #9, and #10. :)

  13. Hilarious! Ridiculous is what I want and I got it. Looking forward to next week.

  14. This episode was just beautiful! I loved it. Had some much needed laughs at the end of a long day. Greatness.

  15. It was great! We had to rewind the section where Michael learns everyone’s name over and over and watch it because we were laughing so hard the first time we didn’t hear all of it.

  16. Charlotte says:

Loved it… and don’t forget when Jim and Dwight were talking to the camera about being the new party planning committee… arguing about it and Dwight fighting for elbow space.

  17. I loved how Pam was toting a different color and type of suitcase everytime we saw her. Funny!

  18. LOVED IT. The Mounds bars were hilarious and Michael’s pnemonic techniques for learning names is priceless. Best show on all week. So glad you have your recaps online.

  19. Okay, that was totally awkward with the pregnant Karen needling on month, the last time she slept with Jim.

Then Mark the baldy and the mole, all the different ways he remembered them. And the chain saw without the chain, but really with the chain.
I loved it. I almost wet my pants. It was divine. I wish I had DVR.
    Really.
I found myself wishing I could call you and LOL together.

  20. What happened to your weekly American Idol round-up at Culture 11?

  21. Love it! When Michael said Sugar B**bs I luaghed so hard my husband just looked at me like I was crazy! Pam throwing the mounds bars that was probably the best part of the show—priceless!

  22. Kelly Kapur to Dwight “Shut up, Beaker!”

I laughed so hard I cried.

  23. I love your tag line “tens of people” :-)

  24. What an indulgent way to spend a week – getting to watch TWO episodes of The Office. We watched last night’s twice. Live and then immediately again courtesy of the DVR. I think I need a hobby.

I loved Pam throwing out the candy bars. And for some reason, I thought there was a boyish charm to the scene with Dwight and Jim talking to the camera and the mutual disgust at having to work together.

  25. Loved the birthday balloons. And Creed’s dating advice to Andy, who he called Jim :).

  26. Ditto on the “Do you need to go pump or something?”

Oh my heavens, that had me rolling.

Can’t wait to see Holly and Michael reunited. I am already bracing myself for the charming awkwardness.

  27. My hubby and I have decided that the cake/imbecile line is one of the best in Office history. Right up there with “Shrute’s have thirsty babies.”

    Years of laughter! Years.

  28. This was a great episode…loved the talking head with both Dwight and Jim. Hilarious.

    Also…HOLLY!! COME BACK, HOLLY!!!

  29. I think I said aloud three times, “I love Andy.”

One of my daughters said to her sister this morning, “Don’t say bucks. That’s hillbilly.” Made me think maybe she was sitting at the top of the stairs sneaking a listen last night.

  30. The awkwardness with Karen was so over the top. Michael was more rude than normal the way he was talking to Karen about being pregnant. OMG! Dwights ballons were just too funny! It was one of the best shows ever. Can’t wait to see what happens with the “closure” with Holly.

  31. I just can’t get enough of this show…and now my sweet husband has decided that his new nickname for me is SugarBoobs…oh dear! ;-)

  32. Loved it! Husband and I were rolling. Two great episodes in one week!

  33. No one mentioned Creed dating Squeaky Frome… ha

  34. Were you sitting, watching this show with pen and paper in hand. Or, can you actually remember all those?
