How long has it been since we’ve had a new episode of The Office? Six, seven months? It feels like a sweet forever (probably because the last time there was a new one I got frustrated by sound ish-ahs and barely even watched it). I’m hoping tonight finds us with plenty-o-Andy and minimal focus on Angela’s cats.
A few memorable lines:
– “AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.”
– “You’re only engaged once. Present company excluded.”
– “I am about to give blood, the gift of everlasting life.”
– “I was so nervous about this I don’t think I ate for three days.”
– “What did you do? Not that I approve of any of it.”
– “There has to be a way to get all these lonely people together.”
“A giant net?”
– “Eric. You mentioned before that you’re in tool and die repair. Meredith recently had a total hysterectomy.”
– “You didn’t eat much there, Jimbo.”
“Oh, initially I did.”
– “Are you on email? Cool.”
In the end it was sort of a slow episode, though it was sweet how everyone rallied around Michael and his efforts to find the owner of the pink glove. And I definitely appreciated how Pam ate all of Bob’s fries. But here’s to hoping that Andy gets back from his honeymoon(s) ASAP. We need the funny.
What did y’all think?

Surely slow, but what about Dwight’s penis comment???
I loved it! I needed some funny after all the drama of the bachelor, it was good to laugh again!
Priceless Dwight eye raise with aforementioned comment.
But otherwise…
Eh.
I hope it’s just a mid season slump….
It was a nice little piece of refreshment between Survivor and American Idol. I am a little put out about Idol but I want say anything in case you haven’t watched it.
We were not super impressed; however, the interaction at the lunch table after Jim and Pam found Phyllis and Bob was very fun and awkward.
I loved Dwight’s comment about feeling lopsided because they took all the blood out of his right side. :)
Maybe it just takes a week or two to get back in the hilarious groove after such a long vacation? That’s what I’m hoping at least.
Awkward episode. During the whole thing I kept thinking, “Why are they airing a Valentine’s episode in MARCH?”
One of the best this season! Finally!
Oh, I liked it… Jim’s expressions, as always, priceless. Dwight, awkward and funny.. Loved the Michael story, and have to admit, if they don’t bring back Holly I did like the bloodmobile-girl. We missed Andy, but I’m sure that he will be back soon from his honeymoon trips!
I thought I would DIE when Michael said “cupid’s sparrow” DIE!!
When Dwight said not to believe everything you hear because there some knots he can’t untie.
Oh, and the penis thing. HA HA HA HA
Slow, but still funny. Phyllis and Bob getting it on in the bathroom almost made me curl into the fetal position.
It was odd seeing a Valentine’s show now. It was still funny….the goofy comments during the blood giving. What a dork!
Glad to see something new.
I thought the “sparrow” line was hilarious but yes slower than most episodes of The Office. I think we have been spoiled.
I liked this quote from Dwight: “You’re like the guy who invented the seatbelt.”
It was a good one, I thought. I laughed plenty!
It was no cobweb of rainbows.
Check out The Office page on NBC for some pictures of Andy on his Honeymoon(s).
It’s a nice way to end the week!
I’m like you in that I was just so giddy about having a new Office, I found it easy to laugh throughout.
Pam: “I’d like to see a machine that puts out candy for everyone. (pause) Vending machine.”
Dwight: “It’s so sexy, it becomes hostile.” (that was probably my fave line of the night)
Hubby’s favorite line was from Jim – “I have a lot of work to do this afternoon. Those mines aren’t going to sweep themselves.” He laughed for a long time about that. Not that HE would ever play Minesweeper at work or anything.
Meredith: “Now it’s just a stupid baby.”
I thought it was quite likeable. I DO miss the Andy! Bring back the Nard-Dog!
My favorite line of the night was when Michael said…
“Hey Everybody! I just invited Jim to suck it.”
So perfectly Michael. Love it!
I was just happy to have a new episode – especially since Greys and Private Practice were reruns. Any new Office beats reruns!
I loved when Michael told Kevin that his pain was worse because Holly was hotter. And Dwight’s “retractable penis” line? Classic.
Hey, you don’t deserve her.
Thanks Michael.
I loved it! So funny, I don’t care how “slow” it was. I loved reliving all the quotes between your post and all the comments. It’s like going to the office quotes website: http://www.officequotes.net/no5-16.php
I just wasn’t impressed. I want it to get back to the funny like in seasons 1 and 2!
I love that Andy is on all of their honeymoons. More has to happen with Andy & Angela, it just ended too quickly. I loved their blog!!
The whole thing about Angela having two different pairs of guys dueling over her? How has no one mentioned this!
Love how Dwight wastes his time trying to sell paper.
It was good, just because it seems like it’d been so long. But I will say – the bit with Phyllis and Bob Vance of Vance Refrigeration was a little awkward. As in, TOO awkward. Ick.
And I’m still so sad for Michael! Let him be with Holly, I say!
