– This post of Antique Mommy’s makes my heart hurt in a whole host of bittersweet ways.
– If you’d like to win the DVDs that accompany Priscilla Shirer’s excellent Discerning The Voice of God Bible study, you can enter a giveaway over at AllAccess. The DVDs would be a huge blessing for your church or your Bible study group – no doubt about it.
– I have watched this episode of “30 Rock” at least eight times (it’s not for little eyes or ears – just FYI). It’s the funniest 22 minutes of television I’ve seen in a sweet forever, and since we don’t have new shows tonight, I’ll probably watch it for the ninth time. And laugh myself silly.

I love that 30 Rock episode especially when he rides off on his motorcycle. My all time favorite episode is “The Head and the Hair”.
That show is in a league all its own, but the motorcycle scene nearly knocked me off the couch!
That post by Antique Mommy completely shattered my heart. I know what you mean!
Just watched that 30 rock episode on DVR tonight! LMAO! and LOVE the AM post!
Awww – that first link made me tear up. I’m definitely going to check out that Bible study. Thanks for the share!
You want so desperately to shape your children into compassionate, loving little adults. But they’re just not adults yet. When Kaya’s not doing what I want her to do, after chastising her and talking her ear off until I see that glazed over look in her eyes, I drift back to similar situations in my own childhood. Then I tell her a story about how I was just like her, made the same mistakes, was selfish too, yada yada. She is always so thrilled to see that I was a human child too, that there’s not just something wrong with her. She really wants to do the right thing, but she struggles with selfishness just like we all do. Tonight it really hit me that I’m not praying for her as much as I should. Moms, it’s so hard to find time alone with the Lord! Ugh, this is killing me.
But somehow I’m making time to blog and read blogs. [head hanging shamefully]
Off to read my Bible now.

Hubs and I are going to get on the 30 Rock train. We haven’t given it a whirl get but hear great things. I need me some more LAUGHS!!!
Thank goodness for DVR. It allows me and my husband to pause 30 Rock every time we laugh so loud we can’t hear the dialogue. It can take upwards of 40 minutes to watch because of all the pausing, guffawing and repetition — “Did you hear that?” — we have to do. When Jack did his interpretation of Tracy’s parents during Tracy’s counseling session last year I thought I would die. Just pray it gets more viewers because, for some reason, ratings aren’t so great . . .
