It Is A Daytime Disco On The Ground Floor Of An Industrial Office Building

All righty, Office fans: we have us a brand-spankin’ new episode tonight, and that means, in the immortal words of Andy Bernard, “It’s on like a prawn who yawns at dawn.”

But make no mistake: I have my fingers crossed that Meredith’s too-short, strapless dress stays far, far away from tonight’s shenanigans.

1. “Occasionally I will sneak down here for a little coffee and dancing.”

2. “I will take your silence to mean that you’re all hiding something.”

3. “You know what I wanna do today? I want to marry you.” (!!!)

4. “When I was in charge, this place was like Dave & Buster’s.”

5. “Wittle Andy is afwaid.”

6. “And – all you can eat espresso.”

7. “Kevin, come.” “Kevin, stay.” “Stay, Kevin.” “Kevin! COOKIE!”

8. “Tell him I’m going dancing downstairs in the office that used to be a closet next to the utility shower and tell him he should join me there.”

9. “Can you please go back to work instead of masterminding these situations wherein we hurt ourselves?”

10. “I’m gonna need two able-bodied men.”

11. Kelly and Erin at Cafe’ Disco – sweet mercy.

12. “I’m not sure – but I’m pretty sure I’m in a dance-off.”

13. “He came in 9th at the Applecreek Derby. And his jerky came in 3rd the following year.”

14. “Look. I hate to be ‘that person,’ but I just don’t like the general spirit of music.”

15. “If these walls could talk, they would say, ‘This is a magical place. You are safe here. We are talking walls. We won’t eat you.'”

16. Andy’s Chair Dance (THAT WAS GOLDEN)

17. “What dance competition? I was just dancing casually with my friends, Y’ALL.”

18. “This is so cheesy. I like cheesy.”

Even though it was a little slow in the beginning, I thought this turned out to be such a sweet episode. The Dunder-Mifflin family is dysfunctional – but they’re family just the same.

And Angela even bounced her leg a little bit.

What did y’all think?

  1. I came over here to see if you got this post up, because all I could think was BooMama must be loving the dance off!

    The vogue was perfect!

  2. My favorite episode since “Stress Relief”

  3. KNEE SLAPPIN’ funny…can’t get enough…my knee is sore.

  4. I loved it. It made me want to set up a Cafe Disco at my place of employment or maybe just in my garage.

  5. I cracked up when I saw that Michael’s brown paper lunch bag had “Michael” written on in Sharpie! LOL

  6. “You all are responsible for taking a life today…the life of the party.”

I pretty much howled with laughter through most of the program.

  7. Emily says:

Awesome!!! Funk is the problem and solution! Cafe Disco is dead but I can still hear the music in my head! I love that Pam and Jim finally had some of the cute moments that made us love them!

  8. I am so glad they are all back working together! As dysfunctional as they are… I didn’t like two separate companies at all! I didn’t know who to pull for! :) I laughed all the way through this one!

  9. Jim and Pam make my heart swell with love.

Michael is back, and I love him for it.

Otter oil. Jim picking a bouquet for Pam. “Eating lunch alone is makes it just like dinner.” Awww…

  10. I LOVED the Andy “dance off” Oh and Michael telling Kevin that this is nothing like a Disco Cafe.

Cracked up when Dwight was describing the methods he was using to fix Phyllis’ back and then put the carrots in her mouth.

Hubby and I heart the office and always look forward to seeing your wrap up Friday mornings. Thanks!

  11. Forgot to ask if you saw the previews for Andy’s new movie?

  12. I’m not a fan of The Office (I’ve just never gotten into it), but I love your recap of all of the one-liners!

  13. I loved it too! it was such a fun, sweet episode. I’m so happy the gang is all back together (minus Ryan, ugh!) at Dunder-Mifflin.

What is up with Erin? Is she, uh, “special”???

  14. I LOVED it last night. Especially when Dwight fed Phyllis the carrots. hahaha

    oh and the dance off

and I couldn’t stop smiling when Jim and Pam were talking. So freakin cute.

    :-)

  15. #10 just may be a new line at our house.

The little cup because I am a giant line was also golden.

  16. I felt so sad when Michael said “might as well be dinner.”

  17. Teresa says:

I loved it. And when Angela walked under the limbo stick? I was filled with joy.

I also enjoyed Andy vogueing and Michael’s giant hand. I am sooooo sad there’s only one show left in the season!!

  18. OH, man. I was coveting the cafe disco last night…wish we had one here at work. Hmmm, maybe I have a goal?

And Creed’s disco ball!? Loved it.

Hubby and I decided that we would love to work for Dunder-Miflin because our lack of productivity wouldn’t really matter there. Haha.

  19. Love your recap. Did you catch Kevin making out with that chick? I almost wet my pants.

    Thanks for making me smile.

  20. I loved this episode- so many great parts! When Pam says, “And I had just got up, so I didn’t look good. That’s how I knew he meant it” was so sweet and funny.

  21. Oh, thanks for this! We recently turned the DirectTV off… I’m looking into how to hook up an antenna for this very show (oh, okay, and the upcoming So You Think You Can Dance). The Office makes both me and the hubby laugh out loud!

  22. I loved it. I think it’s one of the best episodes this season. I’m almost not even disappointed that Jim and Pam decided not to run off to get married!

  23. I loved it! Did anyone get a glimpse of Angela’s shoes???? They fit her personality perfectly!

  24. Rosemary says:

I’ve realized that I look forward to your recaps almost as much as I look forward to the show!

I loved this one.. lots of laugh out loud moments.. and Kevin making out… LOL

  25. You won’t believe this, but I’ve never watched a single episode of The Office. That, however, is apparently unacceptable to my daughter Mandy. I now have the first four seasons sitting on my TV, along with instructions to watch every last one so she and I can have an intelligent discussion. LOL

  26. “Respect the lei.” Ooohhhhh, I just loved it :). Yes, AND Creed’s disco ball/rearview mirror!! It was great!

  27. I loved the limbo bar in the doorway that everyone had to bend to get under. Angela walked straight in. (Glad Pam and Jim didn’t sneak off and marry in the last few minutes. I think that needs to be a two hour special edition of The Office.)

  28. I was howling and rolling on the couch. That was the best episode EVER. I want a Cafe Disco…somewhere…maybe my garage. Andy had some nice moves. Love the whole Flashdance thing. Hilarious.

  29. Another “hit”…I watch on the internet and just can’t miss….laugh til I weep, it is so dern funny.

  30. Wait…you’re an Amy fan AND an Office fan?! I think we might have been separated at birth!!

I agree — this episode improved and was at its best at the end. I love how Kelly gets so gangsta. lol
