This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Crystal Light Water Way Challenge.
Edited to add: here’s my day two update on the challenge.

A couple of months ago Jenny from BlogHer contacted me to see if I’d be interested in participating in the Crystal Light Water Way Challenge. The premise was pretty simple: she’d send me some samples of Crystal Light, and then I’d use those samples to replace two of my normal daily beverages with Crystal Light.
It took me all of two seconds to reply with Um, yeah.
Because have I mentioned I have a bit of a, um, FONDNESS for a certain diet cola product? A maaaaaaajor, hey-I-don’t-like-to-think-about-it-but-it’s-been-going-on-for-almost-twenty-years-now fondness?
But here’s the thing: when I was a teenager, I was a Crystal Light fanatic. I drank Crystal Light lemonade like there was no tomorrow, mainly because I find that water is always more tasty when it has some flavor. Drinking Crystal Light lemonade makes me feel like I’m 15 all over again, only this time without all the drama and angst. And also without the ginormous bangs.
For the last couple of weeks I’ve been sampling the Crystal Light Strawberry Orange Banana flavor, and it’s so delicious that my little boy thinks I’m making it just for him. You know it’s tasty if a six year-old is requesting to drink it WITH HIS BREAKFAST, MY WORD.
So for the next three weeks, I’m going to be replacing this:

with this:

Twice a day, that is.
And if you’d like to join me in this little challenge, that would be oh-so-delightful. All you have to do is sign up for the Crystal Light Water Way Challenge Group at BlogHer.
I’ll be writing an update on my Challenge progress every single week day, so be sure to check in and see how it’s going. It’ll be a barrel of laughs watching me shake and twitch, now won’t it? My hope is that by the end of the three weeks I’ll have cut back to only one delicious diet cola beverage a day. Right now I feel like The Little Engine That Could; the only problem is that my engine usually operates on a whole bunch of caffeine. So I imagine that there are a few adjustments in store.
You can visit the official Crystal Light site if you’d like more information.
See y’all tomorrow!

Yesterday hubs and I were talking that we needed more water in our diet. I am a HUGE diet Coke addict. Thanks so much for sharing this. I do quite well at challenges and it may be just what I need!!
I stumbled here, and I am so glad I did…..I definitely need to cut back on the diet coke and increase the water intake!! Thank you!

While we haven’t replaced the love of Diet Coke completely, we started drinking more water last fall. I think we may single-handedly be keeping Crystal Light in business. :) My favorites are tea with lemon and pomegranate lemonade, and my husband’s is white grape. Good luck and enjoy!
I love the energy Crystal Lite that is strawberry flavored. It comes in the little sticks that you add to a bottle of water, and it has a bit of caffeine so the Diet Coke crash doesn’t hit too hard!
I love the Crystal Light individual packets. The flavors are great!
Just had Crystal Light Rasberry Lemonade Monday! MMMM
Well, they should have picked me for this one too, since just 2 weeks ago I decided I needed to give up the Diet Dr. Pepper I was consuming way too much of. Crystal Light it is, since I used to drink that long ago too. I’m happy they have some new flavors & I’ve just bought Raspberry Lemonade and Cherry Pomegranite. Both are good, FYI!
I have been trying to cut back on the Diet Cokes too. I love the Cherry Limeade flavor drink mix…mine is the Walmart brand, but I bet Crystal Lite makes it too.
If it has aspartame you aren’t doing yourself a favor.
But you aren’t drinking water… you’re drinking Crystal Lite. It’s the same thing as Diet Coke, but with less caffeine and no carbonation or caramel color.
Which is fine, I guess, but I don’t see how it’d be any better for you than Diet Coke.
Now I’m as much of a fan of Crystal Light as anyone, but remember folks, it’s not a doctor or health specialist saying that drinking Crystal Light is better than drinking Diet Coke; it’s the Crystal Light people themselves. Gee, no conflict of interest there, is there?
I am SO with you about the DCs. I am a serious addict. I need to join the challenge because I think my habit may have caused some stomach ailments. Oh, the anguish! Well, at least I’ve got a new flavor of CL to try. : )
I’m new to BlogHer and popped over from my very first ad!
