Downsizing to a tiny apartment so my kids won’t have to take three buses to their special school, I’ve had to get rid of a lot of my furniture and possessions. It’s hard to get what we need that will fit in our new smaller space on Social Security… mostly the stuff we get from thrift shops is outdated… and that tends to mean large and bulky. There are things I’d LOVE to get on discount: A small crock pot for making small amounts of chili at a time… a sewing machine so I can mend and alter clothing… and photo frames for my photography. $100 wouldn’t buy me just one thing, but a number of little things that would make our lives easier and more pleasant.
