Something Tells Me That They’ve Done A Little Practicing

I’ve seen this video in three or four different places today, and MY WORD.

That’s really all I know to say about it.

MY WORD.

Well, and also: the whole horse thing is, as the French say, le awesome.

(The French don’t really say that.)

(At least I don’t think that they do.)

(However, since I do not in fact speak French, I cannot say for sure.)

See? LE AWESOME.

I adore college football season.

  1. Um, maybe it’s because I’m on my phone or maybe it’s because I’m on my phone in the middle of nowhere TN visiting my folks, but I don’t see a video. Or as the French say “le invisible video”.

  2. It should be working now – thanks, Jessie!

  3. unreal!! loved this, thanks for sharing. I showed my husband, who grew up in Ohio and was also in band, and he loved it too. the horse thing? fantastique!

  4. Le awesome indeed! OSU’s band is known as TBDBITL (the best damn band in the land) for a reason!

  6. pettsallowed says:

WoW! that is amazing. I’ll bet they are in better shape than the players!

  7. LOVE it!! I sent the link to my son who was in competitive marching band in HS. I had goosebumps every time I watched him perform! It is exhillarating to watch such talent, stamina, & coordination!! Gotta love college football!

  8. Le OMG!!! Will be showing this to my daughters who are in HS band and love the friendships made but not the hard work. It really is outstanding.

  9. LOVE this! I saw it yesterday on Facebook and have watched it a couple of times. I love the horse, but also the PACMAN!! The creativity and execution is something to be commended, for sure!! Those kids are really earning their scholarships (I hope they have scholarships? If not, they deserve them!)

  10. Go bucks! They are truly amazing. I work at OSU and sometimes get to hear them practicing when I leave work. You should also check out videos of the alumni band doing Script Ohio. Every year the alumni band performs at one of the games and they do 4 Script Ohios instead of one. This year the oldest alumni performing was 94! Here’s a pic, no video – http://www.flickr.com/photos/nutsycoco/8013766273/

  11. The Hubs showed my this yesterday-so impressive and FUN!

(Especially impressive to the person who can barely walk without tripping!!)

  12. Loved this!

  13. There’s a reason it’s called “the best darn (except not darn) band in the land”! O-H-I-O!

  14. That was SO cool!

The horse was my favorite formation

  18. Le awesome indeed!! I’m not into college football (I know, I know, please let me live) but I have a soft spot in my heart for band geeks and this was pretty terrific.

  19. You’ll be happy to know that the band director is an interim director and former band member. the band itself has a week to learn this routine. After this went viral the interim director was offered the permanent post and the OU director called to congratulate him on the routine he accomplished without dancing.

  20. Go Buckeyes! The OSU band has always put on a great show!

  21. O-H
