We’re watching the National Championship game tonight, so I’m only here to post a list of the things I want to talk about when I’m not quite so distracted.
I know. It’s terrible. But if I put the list in a draft, I’ll never finish it (current number of posts in my draft folder: ONE HUNDRED SIXTY EIGHT). And if I don’t write down the list, I’ll never remember. So, in no particular order, here you have it:
– Harry Connick, Jr. on American Idol
– the importance of a good black t-shirt
– The Bachelor
– Downton Abbey (I may not talk about this one if a bunch of people post about it tomorrow because I doubt I will have anything original to add)
– Chillow
– Bible reading plan
– what the 16 degree weather has taught me
All righty. Back to the football. Right now it’s halftime and Auburn is up 21-10 – but clearly the Tigers have no hope of winning the whole shebang if I don’t continue to yell at the TV.
I must do my SEC duty, y’all.
See you tomorrow!

Keep yelling!
watching with ya! my big bro (an AU alum) is in Pasadena cheering live…appreciate all your yelling. It’s obviously working. If I could pick a topic…chillow. Was “given” one at a white elephant gift exchange. I was uber excited to try it out. Came home immediately followed the directions on filling it with warm water. Next morning? Leaky chillow. Not good. in theory it seemed like such a winner!
SEC!
I was wondering about the chillow…..
Well….I’m looking forward to your thoughts on all these topics! You crack me up :)
Yes,, War Eagle and SEC!!!
This Gator will always root against the ‘noles, and for the SEC. Thanks for doing your part, Sophie!
Chillow? I for one (and I think I speak for 7/8ths of all football fans everywhere) am glad the SEC didn’t win EIGHT IN A ROW!
I love the Noles and the War Eagles, too, but love the Noles more! I’m so proud of our Southern teams.
I’m a Seminole through and through, so I am happy with the outcome of the championship game. That being said, I am most grateful that we can all love our teams and still adore each other! How boring would college football be without the rivalry! Go Noles!
Oh my word, that game was nearly the end of me. And while I truly wanted Auburn to win, because SEC, hello? It was such a great game and that’s always fun. Also, Harry Connick Jr. on American Idol? Yes, please and hallelujah. I actually had to stop watching last year because of someone who’s name rhymes with Nicki Minaj. Just too much without much warning for this mama and her little people to endure. But I am very sure that Jesus loves her. This I know.
Anyhoo, looking forward to all the words your will have to say about all the things!
Wow! Went to bed thinking Auburn was gonna win, and happy for them (SEC) but sad for FSU (Florida resident, and though we love the Gators, we also have a lot of respect for FSU) (and being Florida residents, have to be awfully proud of UCF too!)– double parenthetical insert, aside– and sad that Winston’s birthday wasn’t gonna be happy…..and then what do you know!? This morning I found out the Noles won! So yeah for them and the state of Florida! SEC is still pretty dang impressive!
Can I get a whoo whoo for the ACC? Anyone….anyone?
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Chillow because my in-law’s bought one for my husband for his birthday & we were like “Whaaaat….?!?!”
What in the world is a Chillow??? Waiting with bated breath… I hope it involves chocolate. Or soup. Or reality tv.
Add your two Downtown Abbey cents anyway. We can never talk about it enough.
I saw the commercial for the chillow while on vacation and you were the FIRST (and only) person I immediately thought of. ;)
I received a Chillow for Christmas. Oh yes ma’am, I DID! ;-)
p.s. — mine doesn’t stay cool for as long as I’D like — maybe I have a particularly hot head???
Here’s an idea: call Melanie with list in hand and do a podcast!!
I can’t wait to hear about the chillow ! I have almost bought one several times but wasn’t quite sure….
I keep telling myself that at least it wasn’t a Big 10 team. Little things mean a lot.
Yes, let’s talk about The Bachelor!! I really like him. I think he might actually be genuine like Sean was. He was a smooth operator on night one…flirty, for sure…he likes the ladies! I LOVED seeing Sean and thought his advice was good. Loved what he said about Catherine and how while they were in the thick of a mess (dogs, skunk, tomato juice), he realized even more how much he loves her. Awww. I love a lovestory!
I am very late to the ballgame of comments. First, darn proud of the Noles and the fact they never gave up. I live in NW Florida but one would think I live in Alabama with so many Bama and Auburn fans. I wear my BCS Championship t-shirt proudly.
Secondly ,please, please, please give your two cents and more on Downton Abbey. Those of us who love the show so much will never get tired of reading or talking about the show or the charters. Would love your opinion especially with the plot with Anna. I was not happy about what happen to her at all. My emotions are already all over the place after the first show of this season.
