The Big Boo Cast, Episode 33

Well, David walked in the room while I was editing this one, and after he listened for a few seconds, he said, “Saving the world – one podcast at a time.”

I trust that you can detect his sarcasm.

It’s the same ole same ole this go ’round; we talk about sleep habits and shoes and TV and skirts and Gap and travel and all sorts of other riveting topics – including the terribly controversial issue of clear bra straps.

Shockingly, we do not talk about our hair, nor do we talk about mascara. It’s like we don’t even know ourselves anymore.

You can click here to listen. Or here. You can even listen right here (I just realized that we could do this within the post; as always, I am about four years behind the technological trends).

Or, as always, you can subscribe on iTunes if you’re feeling particularly fancy.

Hope y’all enjoy it!

  1. Yay!!!! I have waited and waited and it’s finally here! Haha!

  2. Well, you are saving my world today by giving me delightful entertainment to help get me through a house cleaning session!

  3. So excited to download the new podcast! I just love listening to you girls!! Thanks for brightening my Monday!

  4. You said on the podcast that you were going to be in Oklahoma soon. Are you going to be here for a speaking engagement or for a book-related event?

  5. Allison says:

I love the intro music. Special Report with Boomama and Bigmama!

  6. I laughed hysterically at the conversation about undergarments. I literally replayed your statement about “you only have to go to one of America’s theme parks to see we are in an undergarment crisis” over and over until I had tears running down my face. I even wrote it down so I could share with my friends. Thanks for the endorphins!!

  7. I am SO Happy to see this. I have a long drive coming up and this and my earbuds will tune out the Disney Movies in the backseat. :)

  8. Sophie, I had the same problem in my arm and hand due to a pinched nerve in my neck. Accupuncture (electric, not needles, let’s not get crazy) helped me more than any physical therapy or meds ever did. Mine reoccurs occasionally, since I carry all of my stress in my neck and shoulders, and realizing that helped as well.

I love to hear you guys visit! It’s like sitting around a table with old friends.

  9. Nancy D says:

I left bigmama a comment too, but just so you know as well, THANK YOU for taking a stand on the undergarments crisis. Clear straps and like the emperor’s new clothes. No one’s really fooled except the one wearing them.

Love y’all and all the laughter. It makes me so happy.

  10. Sarah W says:

Thanks for mentioning the band The Oh Hellos. My husband and I had heard of them but we checked them out after listening to the podcast. I love them!! Talking about bands that aren’t “Christian” bands but the members are christians, have you ever heard of Over The Rhine? They are great too! Have a good day!

  11. Hello There. I found your blog the use of msn. This is a very smartly written article.

I will make sure to bookmark it and return to read extra of
your helpful info. Thank you for the post. I will definitely comeback.

  12. Just now listening to this. I need to come over and offer my services to clean that closet. Nothing I love more than organizing. Closets are my favorite…but I love a good junk drawer, too. I do it for all the families I baby-sit for…and I’d do it for you for FREE!
