Oops, I Did It Again

So don’t be alarmed if you see some bits of stray code hanging out at the top of the blog. I’ve been having a little issue with something redirecting folks to the app store when they’re reading from their phones, so there’s been some technical-type hijinks going on behind the scenes. I learned about four or five years ago that in the case of a technical emergency, my best course of action is to STEP ASIDE, POR FAVOR, but Friday night, in a fit of helpful optimism, I clicked an “Update” button and pretty much wrecked my entire book page for A Little Salty… as well as adding those extraneous lines of code to the top of every single page.

I think it’s all too clear that I have a very bright future in coding as well as server maintenance.

Anyway, this is just a very quick test to see if I can publish a post or if the blog is officially OUT OF ORDER until the code issues get fixed (by a professional, mind you).

And as a brief side note I would add that we worked on Alex’s DC trip scrapbook most of yesterday afternoon and last night, and my OBSESS-O-METER is pretty much cranked all the way up to stun. I’m going back to Hobby Lobby in a few minutes to get some more specialty tape dispensers and also STICKERS. WE NEED MORE STICKERS. I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE ALL THE STICKERS.

I am a stranger to myself.

Y’all have a great weekend!

  1. I can see your post and all the WARNING WARNING sings up top. I wasn’t redirected though. Reading from my phone. Enjoy your blog and books.

  2. Teresa M says:

Would love to see the finished product…have a couple DC school trips I need to chronicle and wondered if I wanted to do paper version or digital.

  3. I’ll take a post from you, code or no code, anytime! We working moms need to stick together! Now, about the sticker obsession- I recommend locking away the scrapbook, tell your son to hide your car keys and sack out on the couch and binge on Netflix episodes of Scandal that feature Liv and Fritz! (Am I the only one who really misses them together?!?!) soon you will forget all about stickers!!!!

  4. Susan Fulton says:

Maybe you should call your mother in law for advice with the computer problems!!!! Heehee

  5. Yes, a day or so ago I kept being reroute to the App Store. Just figured it was my phone. All the best getting your blog site sorted out! All that stuff is WAAAY outside my skill set!

  6. Heidi menges says:

I’m so glad you’re fixed!!! I was getting rerouted and I couldn’t figure out why.

  7. Even your “ACK! I messed up!” posts are hysterical. Couldn’t quit you if I tried. Long time fan but first time commenting. Love.

  8. I hear you. If it weren’t for my sweet son I would be out in the cold when it came to code or anything else to do with computers. I can’t even burn a disc without calling him. It’s a good thing he loves his mama…
I can see this post just fine, so you didn’t mess it up too badly. ;)

  9. Looking good for me in Safari!

  10. I’m reading from my phone with none of the aforementioned technical difficulties showing. You must have fixed it.
