The Big Boo Cast, Episode 67

If you have ever thought to yourself, Gosh, you know what would be awesome? LISTENING TO MELANIE AND SOPHIE TALK ABOUT KITCHENS!, well, this is your lucky day.

Or not!

But listen. You can rest easy – even if kitchens aren’t your thing – because we still have ourselves some laughs. And we eventually talk about what we’ve been watching and reading. Plus our Christmas plans. Plus maybe setting the bar a little higher when we (hopefully) record a Christmas podcast next week.

You can click here to listen. Or here. You can even listen right here on the blog.

Or, as always, you can subscribe on iTunes if you’re feeling particularly fancy.

  1. Now you are probably going to experience all kinds of consternation when I tell you this, but just an hour ago I was reading your most recent book and thinking, “You know, what I could really use right now is a new podcast from Melanie and Sophie.” So when I opened my blog reader, I gasped in excitement. See? You have trouble believing anyone would gasp in excitement over your podcast, don’t you? But I did, because you and Melanie bring such delight to my day when you release a podcast, and heaven knows the world can use more genuine delight right now.

P.S. Giddy Up, Eunice is fantastic. Absolutely wonderful and challenging. Thank you for writing it.

  2. I was craving a podcast for Christmas! Dang I miss you guys when you don’t have a podcast!

  3. I REALLY needed this tonight! You two are delightful — you’re an early Christmas present!!! Thanks so much

  4. Deonna Borgmeyer says:

Absolutely love being apart of your conversations. I, too get so excited when I see that notification of a new release. I’ve read so many great books and watched incredible shows from your suggestions. I wanted to share with you Poldark on PBS Masterpiece. The first season is free for Amazon Prime members. It. Is. So. Wonderful!!!! I think I might like it better than Downton….it’s that good! Merry Christmas!

  5. I missed you guys. Enjoy so much pulling up a “chair” and listening. You guys always make me smile and laugh. Thanks so much.

  6. Every time you guys talk about the Pioneer Woman cinnamon rolls I get very ambitious and plan to make them. And then, true to form, I chicken out. I must say, Melanie’s “where to roll out the dough” struggle has me getting cold feet again this year. But if she can make it work with meticulously taped down parchment paper, surely I can pull myself up by my bootstraps and make it happen! Merry Christmas!

  7. Yes, yes, yes, to a favorite spoon obsession!
I LOVE my tiny demitasse spoon I “borrowed” from the hotel room I stayed in while on a trip of a lifetime in Israel!! In my defense, I did try to buy a set in the gift shop but there were none to be had! The sweet housekeeper gave me her blessing and I promised to return it when I visit again!! It gives me great joy/memories when I use it every morning!
Merry Christmas to you and Mel’s sweet families!!!

  8. gosh, seeing phil hartman again makes me smile like nobodies business.

  9. I almost drove off the road laughing when “Spoon” started playing. Very well done, Sophie.
