The Big Boo Cast, Episode 134

Full disclosure: the sound isn’t great on this episode – it cuts in and out a lot and who could possibly know why because we do everything the same way every single time but for some reason this time I (Sophie) sound like a gravelly-voiced DJ from the 70s and WHATEVER, STUPID MICROPHONE – but despite the subpar sound, we had ourselves some fun. We discuss our deep lack of understanding re: taxes, we chronicle all the reasons we aren’t cooking, and we discuss a couple of things we’re really loving on Netflix.

Melanie also outlines some new decorative goals for Caroline’s room, and we discuss our favorite means of social media procrastination when we’re writing as well as our suggestions for better, more meaningful social media experiences. The sarcasm meter is running HIGH, y’all.

Enjoy, everybody!

  1. Sophie, I have been using the Two Faced Natural Matte eye shadow collection for a couple of years. Never noticed a coconut smell tho. And the names of the colors in the one you linked are different than mine. Maybe they’ve changed it up since I last purchased? At any rate, it is my favorite eye shadow. Good colors/pigment with staying power and it doesn’t bother my allergies like some eye shadows do.

  2. Sophie and Melanie – I’m a 73-year old woman who says, “yea!” to you about preferring skincare to makeup. I wish I’d started taking skincare seriously years earlier instead of baking in the sun to get a golden tan. I don’t do botox (I tried it once) or other plastic, but I am so careful to use Retin-A (at night), moisturizers, vitamin C lotion, and sunscreen every single day. I never go to bed with makeup on. My preferred brands are Revision Skincare, EltaMD, CeraVe, and prescription tretinoin (Retin-A). I love listening to you girls. You keep me young! I’ve got your French Onion Beef Slider ingredients on my grocery list, too. Keep on doing what you do!

  3. Melanie – this is probably too late to stop the wall stenciling mission BUT have you looked into removable wallpaper? They make tons of options, and while I haven’t done it myself and cannot say for certain that it will save you any headache or heartache over the stenciling, THE INTERNETS SAY it’s easier, faster, and less permanent.
