Well, it’s our 300th episode – and our 15th podcast-i-versary – and Melanie and I are thrilled about both of these things. WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THOUGHT. So, as you can imagine, we do a little reminiscing on this episode, but we also do a lot of talking about the here and now. That is because this is the week that Alex moves to college, and we have a lot to break down about that.

Congratulations on 300 episodes! I moved to Birmingham from Madison, Mississippi this summer. When I moved, one of my friends from Madison said “oh one of my favorite podcast hosts lives in Birmingham.” So naturally I looked y’all up and have been hooked ever since. I started backwards and since hearing about y’all in June I have listened to 76 episodes. Also, I went to college with Karen Howell. Although she doesn’t know me, I loved hearing her on the podcast and y’all ask “What would Karen Howell say?” So funny and such a small world. Thank you for being a podcast that I can listen to around my children. You helped me survive unpacking boxes all summer. Only 223 episodes to go and I’ll be all caught up!
