The Big Boo Cast, Episode 362

This is an extra long episode, so you may want to grab a snack before you listen. Melanie and I talk about the recent death of my mother-in-law, Martha, as well as her very joyful funeral this past Monday. Naturally we discuss Melanie’s time in College Station (can y’all even believe that she went to College Station?!), and I share about some potato chips that may have changed my life a little bit.

Also, we kick off this year’s Holiday Gift Guide as we offer some suggestions for teenagers / college kids, and it’s my turn for Five Favorites. Needless to say, there are a lot of links, so be sure to stretch your clicking finger.

Hope you enjoy!

  1. I was so happy to hear there’s another family out there that does not like sage in dressing! Neither my mama’s side nor daddy’s side used sage and we can detect just a dash of it in dressing. Southeast Georgia cooks must be similar to those in Mississippi.

  2. Hi – Just letting you know that the ALO discount that you cited (EARLY) ended yesterday – even though your post went live today.

  3. Sophie! Goodness I was so sad to learn about sweet Martha. I have loved hearing about her over these last 15 plus years and she seemed just precious. Sending prayers and condolences to your family.
