– Pioneer Woman’s mashed potatoes (This is so similar to what Mama used to do. Mama also heated her butter and 1/2 and 1/2 together before adding them to the potatoes – plus she added a cup of sour cream and about 3/4 cup of cooked bacon pieces with the cream cheese. Mama always used Yukon gold (didn’t bother with peeling them), and she topped the casserole with a little butter and shredded cheddar before putting in the oven at 375.)

Can we please talk more about cooking smells lingering in the house?! My husband says I’m crazy. I go around spraying Febreze, opening doors and windows, setting out dishes of vinegar or baking soda. Nothing helps! I also will wake in the middle of the night if there are lingering cooking smells. Onions and grease are the worst! I have a stove/oven hood/vent. It just seems to make noise!
