Earlier this week Melanie and I recorded with our friend Cole Cubelic for a Patreon episode – and then Cole’s audio upload proceeded to get caught in an internet no-man’s land for several days. This morning, though, we got news from our friends at Riverside.fm that they were able to recover Cole’s audio, so I put together a quick bonus episode in the event that you’re bored / traveling / curious about Cole’s Thanksgiving (and football) favorites.

So, Saturday was an abysmal day at our house for college football. Every team we cared about and watched the game – they lost. We were watching the UNC – NCSU game and the announcers were . . . well, let’s just say, I didn’t agree with them. COLE – they announcers said, with 25seconds to go, NCSU has the ball, UNC is up by 1 – Carolina should just let State score to preserve the clock. Does that make any sense???? I told my husband I would have texted you if I had your number. Please agree with me that was just stupid.
Also – totally agree with Cole on strawberry pretzel salad.
Melanie – we were watching your game and my husband says “we should go to a game at Kyle field”. Okay, only if we get to sit with Melanie :) Please know that we are UNC and Clemson fans so there is no way either of our teams will ever be playing at Kyle field.
Sophie – totally agree with you. Sides for the win. Forget the stupid meat.

I have searched and searched for your mama’s sweet potato casserole recipe and cannot find it! I even purchased her collection of recipes you offered a few (a lot?) years ago and can’t find that on my computer either!! Share again?
Also, I appreciate the strong opinions Cole has on the strawberry pretzel salad! We have a family member that requests it as her birthday cake! I can also confirm it is good with orange/pineapple and also raspberry. Gluten Free pretzels will work as well!
