It’s long, granted – but oh, Sweeneys – how I miss thee.
p.s. Sorry if y’all subscribe via a feedreader and got a “missing post” error – I was trying to post another video, but ultimately decided it might not be “family friendly” enough. :-) Just FYI.

I’m more impressed with the fact that you know how to stick crazy Robin Williams on your post. I’d like to learn how, just not this week!
This brings back memories of the 11th (?) grade!!!! Or was it 12th? Anyway, I hope Liz sees this b/c she will really appreciate it. Nothing like the oldies but goodies.
My sister and I STILL imitate the Sweeney sisters, much to our family’s chagrin, at every holiday.
But seriously, seriously…love the Sweeney Sisters.
Classic t.v.!
“Clang, clang, clang went the trolley! Ding, ding, ding went the bell!“
Okay, I’m embarrassed to admit it: I had no idea what on earth this was, or where it came from. Only the SNL icon at the very end clued me in. I know it, I’m a TV nerd.
But it WAS funny:)
I LOVED the Sweeney Sisters (still not sure how I really knew about them since I was not supposed to be watching SNL :)! My best friend & I used to love to imitate them!!
Long live Liz & Candy!!
Kristi from NC
“Twang, twang, twang went my heartstrings….from the moment I saw him, I fell….” Oh, dear Sweeney sisters, I knew thee well…. ;-)
Ahhh, those were the days… When SNL was actually FUNNY! Thanks for the giggle! :o)
Favorite Sweeny Sister’s line ever (not from this cli) that I use routinely “Okay, We’re going to bring the room down now…”
This is totally unrelated to your post (which I can’t see???)
One of your readers was asking about how to keep track of comments she had left elsewhere. Maybe this will help: http://www.cocomment.com. GB!
Oh, Soph. Thank you, thank you. I have memories of watching this tape (and I do mean tape -VHS) at your parents house in Meridian. Do you realize that was 20 years ago? Thank you for the laugh! Back then I don’t think we thought the hair was as funny as I did tonight! If I remember correctly, Merritt’s hair was not much smaller than Candy’s.
Hey!!! You’re one to talk!! Don’t forget that just the other day I found a picture of you with a hairstyle reminescent of a 14 year old boy. Sometimes bigger is better??
I’ve decided that I’m going to start laughing and snapping at the same time, just like Candy does.
I think people will really like me if I do that, don’t you, Liz and Merritt?
Gosh, I had never seen that one before! When she grabs Paul Simon I got very tickled.
