Just a few things I’m loving right now:
I Love You, Stinky Face – made even better by the fact that the little boy in the book calls his mother “Mama,” just like A. does. Plus, the story makes the little man laugh out loud, and by the time I get to the last page, he has his arms wrapped around my neck. Can’t beat it.
Chicken and Spinach Pasta Bake (thanks, Barb, for the recommendation) – somehow it manages to be filling but not too heavy. I used whole wheat penne pasta, and it rocked.
My beloved MSU Bulldogs making it to the NCAA Baseball Super Regionals – and playing Clemson this weekend at picture-perfect Dudy Noble Field.
These sandals – OH MY WORD AT THE COMFORT.
These environmentally-safe cleaning products – everything I’ve tried smells great and works beautifully – and the lavender disenfecting spray was a godsend when A. had his last stomach virus.
These popsicles are TASTY (I love the no sugar added tangerine).
I still think this lotion is divine. Now that we’re in full-fledged sandal season, I’ve been using it on my feet – and it works better than anything I’ve ever tried. As you may have gathered, I’m a fan.

I love this picture. ……….are those the shoes you wore to see the little rodent? I love reading your blog.
I love reading the Stinky Face book to my kids, they like the kisses and funny voices too!
Gotta get that book. And those popsicles. And possibly, some of that lotion, too.
Aw, heck … can I just have your life? With my own kid and hubby?
The sandals? I second that emotion.
Our Dawgs at Dudy Noble Field this weekend? Doesn’t get any better than that.
Except for the sweet pic of A and Uncle T.
Precious child, precious child! I could just eat him up!
You are so great BooMama! Love ya!
Cute picture!
I found a terrific new recipe yesterday, easy to make and yummy!
hamburger and spinach pizza pitas.
Fry 1lb hamburger with 1 large onion chopped, drain. Add 2 cloves garlic, pressed, 1 tsp thyme, and a bag of fresh spinach. Cook for about 3 minutes until spinach is wilted. Put in the pita and top with chopped tomatos and sour cream! Easy and yummy!
The popsicles – yum. Glad to hear you like the cleaning products. I’ve been thinking about trying some of her stuff, and this is the second positive recommendation I’ve heard.
I ordered some of the lotion you recommended – for myself and a friend. We both love it! Very fast service, too!
I have to try that recipe. It’s sounds delicious!
Those sandals look wonderful. Do you know any great lotions that are unscented? I have a horrendous allergy to perfume of any kind. Even natural perfume from God in flowers sometimes.
The minute I saw the chicken spinach pasta recipe in Southern Living, I knew it was going to be good. Glad you tried it and liked it, too.
And thanks for the heads up about some good sugar-free popsickles. I’m constantly looking for yummy treats for our diabetic little Cameron!
A fellow bulldog! I have been reading you for awhile now, logged on through Big Mama and I had no idea you loved MSU! I went there back in the 80’s baseball glory days when Clark, Palmeiro, Thigpen and Brantley played and we had wood bleachers and students got in free! Isn’t the stadium just AWESOME now?
Those popsicles are the best! Lime is my flavor, though I’ll eat any of them if given the chance.
We love that book, too!
There are more Stinky Face books. The other favorite “It’s time for school Stinky Face” Those were my son’s favorites when he was little. Even now at 12 if he is really sick, he will cuddle up with me and ask me to read them to him.
Thanks for the popsicle recommendation. On SB, I’m always looking for “No sugar” sweets.
My daughter loves “Goodnight, Princess Pruney Toes” by the same author. cute stories.
Hey Boo Mama! & Sister, Hope all is well with you both. We are enjoying the new babies in our family… I am going to try that recipe.. it sounds yummy!! Good to hear from you Sister… :)
I want to buy the popsicles. Now.
And we love “I Love you Stinky Face” at our house too… only we had to lay down some rules about when we are actually allowed to USE the term “stinky face.”
Is the recipe for the chicken pasta posted somewhere?
Uh, never mind…
(sheepish grin.)
I’ve enjoyed reading your blog lately. Glad you had a wonderful visit with the mouse!
Thanks for sharing the recipe, it sounds dee-lish.
I love all the Stinky face books. I think they particularly appeal to young boys (of which I have two) because of the imagry of monsters and mud and all that sort of thing.
I feel sorry for that Plastic Soldier dude. He must have been H-O-T!! Pretty sure by the end of his shift his face paint was pooling in his shoes.
we are fans of the Stinky Face books too!
Blessings,
Karla
Stinky Face is Hawger’s (and momma’s) favorite :) We have I love you & I miss you, and there are 2 more, Christmas and school I think. :) xoxo melzie
I whipped up the pasta recipe last night and DH and I just luvluvluvd it. Only 2 tiny problems:
1. I have braces and the spinach manages to completely wrap around and lock itself into and amongst my braces. Very attractive esp with the lavender and teal rubber bands I am sporting! Difficult flossing.
2. The two grocery stores in the greater knox county agropolis area do not stock chive and onion cream cheese sooooo I just mixed up my own!
Oooh it was good, it will be a regular on our dinner menu. Thanks BooMama.
Thanks for the What’s for Dinner inspiration! I WILL try the Chicken Spinach dish and the Mexican Pot Roast Tacos. By the way, I came to your blog via Lisa Whelchel’s. My husband and I are pastors in Iowa;transplanted from So. California. After reading your blog, I fancy myself a Southerner-of-sorts. I do declare, I do… (albeit Southern Cal.) I came to this conclusion after reading Paula Deen’s book. I, too, would NEVER take food to a funeral dinner in a DISPOSABLE dish. Makes my lips, burn…smirk… Love reading about you and your family…Blessings! Julie
