A Completely Unnecessary Update

So apparently the new template was working beautifully for a little while, but then something went horribly wrong, no doubt as a result of my attempts to add some things to my left sidebar.

You guessed it: wonky.

For what it’s worth, everything still looked fine to me in Safari and Firefox, but apparently the blawg was so Picasso-esque in Explorer that Big Mama called me to say, “Um, I know this is going to send your OCD into orbit, but you seem to have lost your sidebars.”

Needless to say, I notified the professionals immediately.

And when everything is satisfactorily unwonkied (not a word, but it should be) I’ll put up the fall template again.

Because I’m sure all of you were terribly concerned.

  1. Hope you get all the wonkiness fixed. It looked great for fall.

  2. According to my computer security hubby, everyone just needs to switch over to Firefox, and preferably Macs, anyway.

I loved the fall look and hope it’s unwonkified soon!

  3. Yes…threw me for a loop….you must unwonktify now.

  4. Bailey's Leaf says:

    B-Mama,

Your thing still isn’t fixed! Your blogroll goes to Good Reads.

So sorry. And yes, earlier I did notice your wonkiness, but figured that you had that covered.

    Good luck.

  5. Ah, thank you!
    :D

  6. Totally unrelated to this post..but I go to pick my 12 year old son up at our church’s youth group deal tonight. They have bands (small ones) or guys who play guitar play every Wed night for the youth. Tonight, he ran out to the car. He was so excited. He won a CD. Guess what it was??? MONK AND NEAGLE!!! I was so excited.

I actually got one during their promotion but i was thrilled nonetheless. My son was confused and told me that the guys who played tonight WERE monk and neagle. i ran inside to talk to our youth director as he was talking to two guys outside who Brandon said played. Um it wasn’t them. duh!!!

But anyway, it was cool that he won their CD. I was like “oh, I know them!!” – well, sorta…

  7. I totally think that “unwonkied” should be a word!!!

  8. what in the world is Big Mama still using Explorer for anyway!!???

    Blessings,
    Karla

  9. I was wondering what was going on. New look? Old look? And all without an explanation!! :)

  10. I loved the new look!! I hope you get it worked out!

  11. jeez– I’m actually sorry that I missed the wonkiness. How’s that for weird?

  12. I was on pins and needles.

  13. As a matter of fact, I was very concerned as soon as your page came up. Thank you so much for addressing my concerns.

  14. I must admit, I’m a bit envious of you bloggers who change your templates with the season.

I love my Ireland-themed blog design, complete with pictures taken by my husband during our Ireland wedding/honeymoon and I don’t want to loose the look, so I just don’t mess with it too much!

Can’t wait to see your new fall style when it’s up and running!

  15. Oh, BooMama! It’s all I can do to change pocketsbooks with the season….

And I do well to get any of my blog wonkies to work, much less change them.

You were my role model. And now I find out that you’re Martha Stewart.

  16. I was here when it messed up I think.. It looked fine when I first got here and then it was messed up after I clicked on a link….oh NO, it’s my fault! LOL…

I just linked to you with a post about Monk and Neagle..

    God bless,
    Sallie

  17. Well, now I’m just itching to go get my blog a new look!

  18. Honestly, this post was worth it just for the word “unwonkied”. I love it, and will try to use it daily. Which, for me, is actually a possibility since I work for a software company. “Hey, Bob! Did you get the DT 4.5 build unwonkied yet?” Hee hee!

  19. Glad you were able to find the issue and get back to your old setup for the time being.

I have something for you too.
