What I Owe The Internets: A Comprehensive List

1. My post on Believing God, which is way harder to write than I thought it would be, but I AM DETERMINED TO WRITE IT, thank you.

2. My post on this week’s American Idol, which I still haven’t seen, but I’m going to try to watch it this afternoon if I can manage to stay awake, and if I have anything at all to add to the Idol conversation, I’ll put up a post as soon as I watch.

3. A winner for the Bonbon Charms Mother’s Day giveaway. That’ll be coming up soon. Stay tuned.

4. A post on last week’s episode of The Office, which I didn’t watch until Friday because of something that was going on at our house Thursday night, and come to think of it I owe y’all a post about that thing that was going on at our house, too, and OH MY MERCY I’m feeling a smidge overwhelmed.

(#4 sidenote: Just for the record, last week’s episode of The Office was the most delightfully awkward spectacle I have ever witnessed, and don’t even get me started about Jim’s reaction to the candle room. Because it made me cackle.)

(sidenote to #4 sidenote: I will not be posting about last week’s episode. Because there’s a new episode tonight. And if all goes as planned, I’ll be posting about tonight’s episode sometime in 2009. Be sure to check it out!)

5. I left out number five altogether the first time I posted this list. Don’t even pretend to be surprised by that. I CAN’T EVEN COUNT, PEOPLE.

6. More answers to more of your questions from a couple of weeks ago.

7. Some sort of new, original-yet-mediocre content that doesn’t involve a list and / or questions.

8. I probably wouldn’t hold your breath about number seven.

  1. No one looks the camera in the eye and makes me laugh more than Big Tuna.

  2. For the record, you don’t owe us internets anything… we’re looking forward to your new, original-yet-mediocre content, but you don’t owe us.

You’re welcome. Now go grab a Diet Coke and catch up with some of your DVR stuff. Relax. We’re not going anywhere.

  3. Well, I think I just won me and the fam a thousand bucks. Thanks for the tip. I’ll share!

  4. We were having tornadoes and they cut off the end of The Office last week for weather reports. I threw a royal hissy fit. So we had to watch it on nbc.com and it was totally wroth it to see Angela smear the ice cream on Andy’s car. :) Also to see the creative ways they are trying to make Angela NOT look 8 months pregnant.

  5. But what about #5?

  6. I wore my dvr OUT rewinding Michael’s infamous line after tasting his glass of wine.
“That has sort of an oaky afterbirth.”

    I screamed with laughter!

    Wrong, wrong, WRONG……

  7. It’s amazing how a post about “nothing” can make me laugh! Girl, you just need to sit, drink a diet coke and take it all in.

  8. Take a deep breath, grab a glass of diet Coke with ice, relax, snuggle with your little man, kiss your bigger man, catch up on the DVR, and remember that we aren’t going anywhere and you don’t owe us one smackeral of anything.

Oh wait, I was supposed to be talking to you? I thought I was talking to myself for a second there…

  9. I LOVED the look in the camera while they were in the candle room too! Priceless awkwardness… The office makes me laugh constantly! Unfortunately tonight I have a thing planned… gotta Tape it (not yet up to date on the TIVO thing;)) OH YEAH – and I got my Dave Barnes CD today… THANKS it is filling my house with wonderful music as we speak (or type!)

  10. blah blah blah diet coke blah blah blah

blah blah blah go hug howard blah blah blah

    I don’t hear you …. I don’t see you …. you owe me nothing ….

    blah blah blah

    :)

  11. I’m really looking forward to your Believing God post. I’m finishing a bible study by Beth Moore about believing God and it is life-changing.

  12. YOU make me cackle :)

  13. That episode of The Office made me really uncomfortable.

    Jan is evil.

  14. Oh! and PS I was able to watch last week’s Office on the internet on Friday night with my Chris. I think it was nbc dot com. Woohoo!

  15. OH! and another PS

Did you know that the actress that plays Jan is also “Trudy” from Monk?

  16. Relax :). It’s all good.

  17. Loved “The Office.” Dwight makes me laugh hysterically.

  18. Please post a re-cap of last weeks episode! I love reliving it and finding out what you laughed at. I could not believe that Jim was seriously going to leave Pam there! I would have had to break up with him.

  19. 9. Grab a diet coke and plant self in front of tv (or hulu).

    10. Grab another diet coke, haul out laptop, and work toward crossing one item off list.

  20. I can’t believe you didn’t comment on the camera in the bedroom… talk about a delightfully awkward spectacle… everyone’s response to that situation (particularly Michael’s on camera smirk… ) PRICELESS.

  21. What is the interest rate in the Internet world?

More importantly — can one’s blog be foreclosed upon due to owing so many posts? Because I fear I’m nearing my limit, too.

  22. **inhale***

  23. I am sooo glad The Office is back. Do you realize the gap between new shows due to the strike was longer than their usual summer hiatus? It was painful. Almost as painful as the awkwardness of last week’s episode. It was funny and different than their norm, but I’m glad they’ll be back in the office on tonight’s episode. I missed Kevin. They should have invited him and Stacey, too. ;-)

  24. I know you said you weren’t going to post on last week’s episode of The Office, but tell me you weren’t cracking up when Michael was trying to get Andy and Jim to invest in Jan’s candle business. And when Andy said “thought about it. i’m in”. That owned me! Tonight’s episode with Jim and Pam was so sweet!

  25. First, Girl, deep cleansing breaths. Get a Diet Coke. Stat.

    Breathe in.

    Exhale deeply.

    Feel better?

P.S. I’m getting the paint bug again.
