Christmas In (Almost) July

So Travis has a Christmas CD that’ll be out in October, and it is going to be incredible, my friends. I know this because 1) Travis can SANG 2) David and I have heard a couple of songs and have been blown away and 3) Travis can SANG.

And right now you can get a sneak peek for free by clicking here. You’ll have to enter your name, your email address, and the download code, which is 122508.

And within seconds, you’ll be able to hear Travis sing “O Holy Night.” I’ll ‘fess up and tell you that I totally cried the first time I heard it. So beautiful.

Enjoy, y’all!

  1. O Holy Night is one of my favorite Christmas songs. I cannot wait for this CD to come out!

It sounds like you all had fun in Atlanta. I was at Deeper Still in Nashville in September and don’t know how I missed this one! Will be reading all the stories and updates on Beth, Kay, & Priscilla.

    Thanks for all you do!

  2. Thanks for the heads up about this CD. Can’t wait for it to come out.

Hey, I was just reading on Beth’s blog and she was totally talking about how star struck she was to meet you!!!

    That was just way cool.

    And I totally related.

  3. Thanks for the information. Sounds like you had a great weekend. Can’t wait to hear all about it.

  4. O Holy Night has never sounded better! What a blessing! Thank you for the preview….I can hardly wait for October to get it!

  5. O Holy Night. Trav. Full Christmas CD. Shut up. I will play it year round (I already play Point of Grace’s Christmas CD year round). Can’t wait till 10/7.

  6. Absolutely Beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us all you do Boo Mama. Mr Cottrell, wonderfully done.

  7. That was awesome! Thank you for sharing, I’ll be first in line come October.

  8. Hey girl…

What a treat to meet you and hug your neck this weekend!!

I’ve known Trav a long time and heard him sing “O Holy Night” for the first time during a Christmas musical at the church we were all attending at the time. So powerful!! I would have jerked a knot in the boy if he hadn’t included it on his Christmas project.

I totally dissed Melanie because frankly I just didn’t recognize her. I honestly wondered later why she calls herself Big Mama ’cause she ain’t big as a minute as my grandmother would say.

I would have loved to give her a big old hug, too.

    Blessings, friend!

P.S. Tickled me pink to see you showcase Angela’s jeans again. HILARIOUS! Isn’t she precious? One of my favorite people in the entire world, that girl is.

  9. Amazing! My favorite song … i used to sing this when i was younger … allbeit … not like this!

    Thanks for the headsup!

  10. BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for sharing this little preview. I will be buying this when it comes out to add to my collection of Christmas CD’s!

  11. Lisa D says:

I am covered with goosebumps after hearing that this morning. Thanks for the blessing, Boomama! I don’t know about you, but God spoke to me just as much during the worship time in music as He did during the teaching. An amazing weekend, to say the least.

  12. Thanks for the sneak peek on the upcoming cd! O Holy Night makes me cry every time I listen to it and this is an especially beautiful version of such a powerful song. I can’t wait until the release in October.

    You’re the best BooMama!

  13. Susan B. says:

Thanks so much for the link! Travis sings that so beautifully! Well, what does he not sing so beautifully??? I pre-ordered the CD, because I pretty much have to do things right that minute or I tend to forget :)

    Thanks!!

  15. his voice is yummy

  16. Holy Smokes!

That’s all I got to say!

    Hugs
    Marie

  17. Can I just say the mention of Christmas makes my little hear skip a beat!

  18. Perfection. Travis is quickly becoming my favorite guy singer (besides my husband, of course – awesome vocalist). I agree, it does bring tears to the eyes. During the Christmas season all I listen to in the car is Christmas music. So I can see that I’ll need to keep some Kleenex in the car along with some eye makeup in order to “repair” myself once I get wherever I’m going.

  19. Last week, I listened to this song over and over, while working on the cookbook. It never gets old–and Travis has a way about singing it that makes it so wonderful!

I loved Brooke Fraser on your link page, by the way! Wow–she has a lovely voice.

  20. My oldest boys were able to sing with Travis last month. They were in a children’s choir in Indianapolis. He is such an amazing singer and person! Can’t wait to listen to the song.

  21. Wow!!! I JUST love Christmas in July!!! Thanks so much for that post! I could just listen to Travis sing all day long! That man was surely blessed by our awesome God! I can’t wait to go back and listen to it again!

Sophie, thanks so much for attending the She Speaks conf. the other weekend! I enjoyed your sessions and all of the tips for bloggers. I FINALLY set up a blog that works, and my URL address is spelled correctly! Woohoo!

    Happy 4th of July!
    Blessings,
    Susan
