Several weeks ago I got an email asking if I’d like to try to HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier (be sure to memorize the official name because there will be a test at the end of this giveaway). Since I haven’t had a printer for about, oh, EIGHT YEARS, I quickly answered the email and said, “Yes, please.” Because I figured having a printer of my own might be a smidge more convenient than sending attachments to my husband and asking him to print them for me. Which is pretty much how I’ve run this operation from the get-go. All fancy-like, you know.
The printer arrived early last week, and while I was thrilled to try it, I wasn’t nearly as thrilled as my daddy, who happened to be visiting and COULD NOT WAIT to open the printer box. In fact, he was the one who unpacked everything and unwrapped all the manuals and whathaveyou, and I’m pretty sure that if I’d offered to give him the printer he would have done some hitchkicks in my dining room.
(Not that he’s really the hitchkicking type, you understand. But he was mighty impressed by everything the HP C6380 can do. I think it was the first time he’s ever thought this whole blogging thing just might have some merit, and that is totally fine because I know how deeply new electronics speak to the heart of every man.)
Later that night I got a chance to really put the printer to the test, and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up. For some reason I still expect to have to enter some MS-DOS commands when I install new software, but the HP installation was easy breezy and over in just a few minutes. Plus, it’s a wireless printer, so I didn’t even have to fool with any pesky cords. I have the printer neatly tucked away in an area where it’s pretty much out of sight (I’m not a fan of the electronic clutter), and it works like a dream.
And the next day, that sassy new printer really made a believer out of me. I realized that I’d forgotten to pick up a birthday card for a friend, and I was just about to pull out a piece of stationery and write a note when I realized WAIT! I HAVE A PRINTER NOW! I CAN MAKE A CARD!
Sometimes it’s the little things, you know?
So I went to the HP website and found a card I liked and printed it out right then and there. IT WAS A WONDER, not to mention that it was quite a bit more professional-looking than when I used to print out cards on my daddy’s dot-matrix printer when I was in high school.
We have given our HP printer a work-out this last week, and it’s been such a treat. The wireless feature is fab, and I’m so excited about scanning in old pictures (something else I’ve never been able to do because I’ve never owned a scanner before, which pretty much makes me an embarrassment to the entire internet). It probably goes without saying that I’m tickled that we now have a piece of home-office equipment that does everything we need.
(Except it doesn’t wash windows or do laundry.)
(I imagine that it will be several years before they add those particular features.)
SO, if you’d like to win an HP Photosmart C6380 printer of your very own, leave a comment on this post and tell me how this printer would make your life easier. This contest will remain open until Sunday, February 8th at 11:59 pm.
And if you’d like additional chances to win, check out the BlogHer HP giveaway round-up page.
Have fun, everybody!

I’ve never had a printer, so it would make my life so much easier– especially for printing up coupons for grocery shopping!
As a room parent, I would love to be able to print photos of the kids in my sons 2nd grade class taken during their activities!
Right now my printer is broke so this would be a life saver! My husband and I have to load stuff onto the USB flash drive and take it down to the local Staples to make copies of stuff. This would put and end to all that.
It would be so nice to have a wireless printer- right now my dogs fight for the spots near me and get tangled in or pull out our various cords all the time. :(
Wireless, amazing! It would be great for my hubby to be able to print from any PC in the house (including his laptop where he does his online classes instead of hogging my desktop)! Thanks for the chance to win!
Boy! This would save me a lot of trips to my daughter’s house just to make a copy of something.
It would make my life easier because I could print photos and share them whenever I wanted to. It would be convenient and easy to use.
I printer just died Its tax time and I’m at wits end Sending everything to my daughters house to be printed out from her and then getting it back I need this and need it now
The HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier would make my life so much easier. I am constantly taking items to copy at the store for my grandmother and I do a LOT of scrapbooking and photo projects (the photo store people know me well!). Having this at home would be so convenient and make life much easier.
My current printer keeps telling me there is no ink cartridge in there! There is, I promise!! So, I have not been able to print anything and I would love to be able to print coupons and pictures! Thanks so much.
Oh, this is cool! I have so many old pictures that I’d love to email to friends, but I don’t have a scanner. This would be great! Thanks :)
Would really like to have a new printer
that does everything. Mine is really old works on and off. I like the style of this printer.
My printer is older than I am and this would be a godsend
We have 4 computers and sometimes it is impossible to be able to print. It would be awesome to have more than one printer!
I really need a scanner for my home business because I have a lot of things I need to scan and send. It would save me from having to go somewhere else to do this.
Right now the only way anyone in my house can print is to copy the file to a CD or e-mail it to themselves so they can print it from the tired old printer in the living room. With this wireless printer, anyone can print from their laptops anywhere in the house. Fantastic! Thank you for the great give-away.
Love my HP all-in-one. would like to win one for my daughter.
My printer needs an update…doesn’t always work. Plus, when I need to copy something, I have to go to an office place & get it printed there. By being able to scan things, I could make my own birthday cards. Thanks for you offer.
My husband teaches a lot of online classes, and this would be so helpful to him.
We have a scanner that has been sitting here dead, collecting dust for years now. It would be great to have one that works-then we too could scan in the pictures of when our kids were little, before digital cameras. I’d like to make each one of our kids a dvd with all the old family pictures.
This printer would make my life easier because I wouldn’t have to drive down to Kinkos every time I need to print something. Thanks for the giveaway!
I don’t even have a printer.
This would be great!
It would be nice to print out the cool family photos and frame them, hang them on the wall :o)
This printer would make my life easier since I would give it to my daughter-in-law. She seems to have bad luck with printers and everytime I’m there her printer in on the fritz. I would love to be able to win this for her. Thanks.
Easier? Let’s start with the time, money and gas it would save since I have to go out to get copies or scan. Thanks for the contest.
My 2 yr-old printer is on its way out again and this time I’m not replacing it. Would love to win this as everyone agrees it makes life much easier!
Rght now I do most of my work on my laptop. If want to print anything I have to go to the main computer. Would be great to have a printer hooked up to my laptop. Thank you.

I so need a good printer. This would be a great win for me!
How wonderful! It would make my life easier because since it’s wireless I could put it in another room. Thank you so much!
I need to print some of my emails
There are no cons to a wireless printer. It is a win win situation. Less wires and freedom. At the moment i could really stand to clean up the mess of the cords. I like the fact that everyone in the house will be able to use it as well.
I’m a busy mom, teacher, author and pro bono wedding and baby shower planner, I could really put this printer to work! With multiple computers on our network, a wireless printer like this HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier would make my life so much easier!
Thanks for doing this review!
We don’t have a printer for my laptop, so I have to email anything I want to print to work….and I don’t have any way to print in color at all, so this would be super. I’d love to be able to print some digital pictures too. Thanks for the great giveaway.
The HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier would make my life easier because I could use it to print out photographs for my parents, thus eliminating the need to run to the pharmacy with my disk and order prints for them. Thanks for the chance to win!
You mean I would have to run to Kroger(where I work) to print anymore? Wireless and prints photos?!?! Shoot me now!
I need to make labels for my mini homemade skincare and home care line and this would wonderful! Plus I just became a rep for a organic company and this would so much easier to make business cards and shipping etc. I also run a blog with contests so shipping would also be easier there not to mention scanning!! and copying would be fantastic!

I would love this! My husband and I have spent so much money on books for our daughter, to whom we teach sign language and other things. It would be great to not only print out things we can’t find in books, but also to print out my artwork, business cards, labels, etc. in color since my hubby thought it’d be a great idea to ’splurg’ on a black-and-white laser printer. Boooo.
This printer would make my life easier because my daughter could print out her school projects and work from home.
I compulsively take digital photos and don’t own a printer! Needless to say, this prize would change my life. Thank you!
My only printer is an old one that is on its last legs. Since I am retired and on a limited income, this printer would be wonderful for my many volunteer activities.
I wouldn’t have to try to remember to take things to work to copy or scan. Which always takes twice as long since I forget for several day.
I’d LOVE to have a great printer that I could print from my husband’s laptop. He loads vacation pics and traveling pics on there and they never make it out. This would make it so much easier
I currently don’t have a printer. My aunt and uncle game me the last one I had and it DIED. I would love to print photos and my 9 year old son would benefit as well, because he finds things online (kid websites) that he would like to print. I also like making cookie in a jar gifts for special occasions for friends/relatives and in the past, I would print my labels using the printer.
Thanks for the chance to win this fabulous printer!
It would be so cool to have a scanner!
I’m a digital scrapbooker. Now I’d be able to print my layouts from anywhere in the house, rather than sending them off to be printed. Save money? Sign me up!!!
This printer would make my life easier because I could actually print from my laptop! Yea!
We’re all working off laptops and right now I need to use a jump drive or email to myself to transfer information for printing. This would be a godsend.
I would LOVE to go wireless, I can’t even keep track of what is attached to what these days. Plus and all in one would free up a lot of space on my desk. This would be wonderful, make me far more productive and efficient!
i am a graduate student and teaching assistant. i always have to go to kinko’s or my parents’ house to print quizzes, reports, data sheets, etc. this would definitely make life a little easier!
My life would be easier in so many waysl not only for me and my work but for my daughters high school needs as well. Everything from her papers to greeting cards would be able to be printed in a neat and professional manner.

Just having one with better color, and better printing with photocopying and scanning and for photos all in one we be so fantastic.
I have a small in home office and my printer is very old and tired. If I had a new one things would go much faster and being able to print a photo would be time and $$ saving.
my old worn out epson kicked the bucket a few weeks ago and need another badly to print out web pages, documents, cards and pics!
I really need a wireless printer. My printer cable barely reaches my computer and it easily comes out of my tower.
“HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier”– I wanted to pass the test:>
How would this printer make my life easier?
Let me count the ways…
10) All five of us could print on one printer!
9) I could scan in all those old photos that never quite found their way into the albums!
8) We could make copies of receipts and school forms
7) I could fax things at home instead of bothering the secretary at work
6) I could print out all sorts of neat stuff for my classroom
5) Everything we print would no longer have red streaks like it has now because our old printer is dying
4) I could stop worrying about where to buy ink for our ancient printer
3) Our old printer is too big to sit on the computer desk
2) My husband wouldn’t keep having to show how me how to plug the printer in because it sits clear across the room….
and the number 1 reason …
I wouldn’t keep tripping and falling on my behind, because our printer is big, ancient and sits across the room attached by a very long cable:>
this would make my life easier too cause just like you i can’t stand to have cord all over the place. plus i like the thought of having the option to put the printer in a place where i want so that there is a flow to my office. thanks for the chance!
Oh, the dreams of my own printer….
This printer would make my life easier since I don’t have a printer now and everytime I need directions to some place I have to handwrite them.
I constantly take pictures of my grandchildren. would love to have this printer to print and send copies to family
Just to have a printer–!!! download coupons, print pics of my grandkids,oh man the things I could do-and to do this with the “cream of the crop printer” oh wow!!!!
I would use this printer to make lifelike copies of myself to send in my place to all of my upcoming responsibilities. That would leave me time to lounge around and do nothing.
Well we could copy anything we want, would also be good for school projects, my wifes crafting and so much more. Thanks for this! retirenaval(at)yahoo.com
Wow, we could really use this printer. My husband would love to put his artwork online and this printer scans! Also we can print out pics of his pictures.
Gosh, I need a printer SO bad!
I actually have 2, neither of which is working, and I anything I have to print I have to send to my work or to my daughter’s home. I can’t print some things at work or anything lengthy, and my daughter is not right next door, so I have a real printing problem!
This printer would make my life easier because I could scan old family photos and print out new copies. That would be awesome!!!! Thanks….. : )

Because I live in a small LA apartment and don’t have room for an office, it would be great to have a wireless printer in an out of the way place!
My printer is on its last legs. Would be great to have this!
ty 4 the awesome giveaway and entry:)
WIRELESS is the way to go! My printer bit the dust a couple of weeks ago and I’ve narrowed down the printer playing field to 2 printers…guess what….one is this EXACT printer! Maybe I’m already a believer!?! :)
My hubby and I have laptops that we use for our baby twins’ photo storage. Then we have to upload to Wal-Mart for any we want printed. This would be PERFECT!!
We have absolutely no luck with printers: they all seem to work about a year and then the print quality takes a nosedive…as a result I do about 95% of our printing needs at work. It would be nice to have a decent printer AT HOME that works !!!
I don’t have a scanner and I am not able to print photos and it would help in that I wouldn’t have to go somewhere else to print pictures or scan somethign when I need to.
It would really help me with all the printing I do.
My printer up and died on me and I can’t print anything at home. There went the great coupons on the internet to save money, no more scrapbooking or printing pictures, no more making cool greeting cards, I cannot print address labels to send things to friends and family (I had to hand address Christmas cards), and I had to quit the family recipe book I was compiling. There are a multitude of ways a new wireless printer would improve my life. Since I use a laptop, I could go anywhere in the house to work on projects and do my printing without running all over the place. That’s what dreams are made of!!! Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!
This would make my life easier because the cat pushed my current printer off the shelf and while it works, it doesn’t work as well as it used to because several of the features no longer work.
I can think of so many ways this wonderful printer would make my life easier. The wonderful recipes that I find or that are sent to me via email could be printed instead of hand copied on to index cards. Those pictures I receive of the grandchildren could be printed at home rather than left on my hard drive or sent to the local Walgreens to be printed.
I could scan the pictures I took with my trusty 35mm camera back in the day.
I am a disabled mother with two children. I am sick and tired of having to run to the library with the kids every time I need a copy of something off of the computer. This would truly make my life easier….I could finally rest my arthritic bones!
I need a new printer, Thanks!
My husband and I share a printer, but we don’t have a copier and the only scanner is hooked up to his computer. So to scan I have to ask him for help, and if I want to copy I’m out of luck. This would replace our joint printer and make my life so much easier! Thanks!
