Several weeks ago I got an email asking if I’d like to try to HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier (be sure to memorize the official name because there will be a test at the end of this giveaway). Since I haven’t had a printer for about, oh, EIGHT YEARS, I quickly answered the email and said, “Yes, please.” Because I figured having a printer of my own might be a smidge more convenient than sending attachments to my husband and asking him to print them for me. Which is pretty much how I’ve run this operation from the get-go. All fancy-like, you know.
The printer arrived early last week, and while I was thrilled to try it, I wasn’t nearly as thrilled as my daddy, who happened to be visiting and COULD NOT WAIT to open the printer box. In fact, he was the one who unpacked everything and unwrapped all the manuals and whathaveyou, and I’m pretty sure that if I’d offered to give him the printer he would have done some hitchkicks in my dining room.
(Not that he’s really the hitchkicking type, you understand. But he was mighty impressed by everything the HP C6380 can do. I think it was the first time he’s ever thought this whole blogging thing just might have some merit, and that is totally fine because I know how deeply new electronics speak to the heart of every man.)
Later that night I got a chance to really put the printer to the test, and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up. For some reason I still expect to have to enter some MS-DOS commands when I install new software, but the HP installation was easy breezy and over in just a few minutes. Plus, it’s a wireless printer, so I didn’t even have to fool with any pesky cords. I have the printer neatly tucked away in an area where it’s pretty much out of sight (I’m not a fan of the electronic clutter), and it works like a dream.
And the next day, that sassy new printer really made a believer out of me. I realized that I’d forgotten to pick up a birthday card for a friend, and I was just about to pull out a piece of stationery and write a note when I realized WAIT! I HAVE A PRINTER NOW! I CAN MAKE A CARD!
Sometimes it’s the little things, you know?
So I went to the HP website and found a card I liked and printed it out right then and there. IT WAS A WONDER, not to mention that it was quite a bit more professional-looking than when I used to print out cards on my daddy’s dot-matrix printer when I was in high school.
We have given our HP printer a work-out this last week, and it’s been such a treat. The wireless feature is fab, and I’m so excited about scanning in old pictures (something else I’ve never been able to do because I’ve never owned a scanner before, which pretty much makes me an embarrassment to the entire internet). It probably goes without saying that I’m tickled that we now have a piece of home-office equipment that does everything we need.
(Except it doesn’t wash windows or do laundry.)
(I imagine that it will be several years before they add those particular features.)
SO, if you’d like to win an HP Photosmart C6380 printer of your very own, leave a comment on this post and tell me how this printer would make your life easier. This contest will remain open until Sunday, February 8th at 11:59 pm.
And if you’d like additional chances to win, check out the BlogHer HP giveaway round-up page.
Have fun, everybody!
This giveaway is now closed.

I need this for my home office. Mine went kapoot and have been wanting a new all-in-one for quite a while. Not fun having to do without.
It would save going to the stores to get copies, it’s amazing how many times you have to have something copied before you send it, it might cost 10 to 20 cents to get a copy but the cost of gas and wear and tear on your car is more. Love to have something right in my home that I could use so I wouldn’t have to leave.
I’m 82 years old, anytime I have to travel out of the house would be great for me.
Wireless is da bomb! I would love to have a printer that doesn’t have to be within 3 feet of my computer so I have more desk space. This would mean that my family wouldn’t have to email me their print projects either. I use my printer all the time, but it is always getting jammed up because the vertical paper feed is wonky. Next print project? Taxes!
I would be able to print things – I don’t have a printer, copier or scanner.
This would make my life a lot easier because I wouldn’t have to drive across town to use my friends.
We have two computers but only one lousy, cheap printer. It would be nice to be a able to take it up and downstairs. I hate feeling tied to one place to do my work.
This would make my life easier because my scan button has quit working on my printer.
Thanks!
Having a wireless all-in-one would make everything easier more convenient and no wires equals less clutter. Great giveaway!
oh, I could use this. my printer is dead.
This printer would make my life easier because I could print my pictures at home. No more uploading, sending them out, and waiting for them to return; hurrah!
msurosey@yahoo.com
I need to make up some photo scrapbooks for my family.
I am an artist and I could really use this printer to scan and print images for some of my art projects.
Right now I have a little plain printer hooked to my computer. I so need a scanner/fax machine but this one is just a basic printer. This would keep me from having to run to the library to get something faxed or a print made of something I need right away.
Love this printer
my daughter is a really good artist and I would love this to make a scrapbook of all her work
it would improve my life becase it works..unlike the one decorating my desk
thanks for a great giveaway

I have wanted a printer for a very long time. I always have to send whatever I want printed to my husband or son and wait until they have time or I see them.
Thanks.
I would find this very useful…because I don’t have a printer at all.
mydoodles @ aol .com
this can replace all the machines on my desk! awesome!
I could really use this to print my pictures and anything else that I need to copy or scan.
I have a laptop so it would be nice to have a wireless printer to print my pictures.
We sell on Ebay so this would help us with our business
I could use a new printer!
I really need a printer that can do anything and everything and it seems like this printer would be the answer to my needs
I work at home (and sometimes hubby too since his hours were cut) and our printer bites! Would love to have a functional one.
mY DAUGHTER rEBECCA IS OFF TO cOLLEGE THIS SUMMER, THIS WOULD BE A LIFESAVER
ooh nice printer!
I got laid off late last year, so I am in need of a printer to print resumes and cover letters for my job search.
I also bead, and the internet has scads of free jewelry pattern/instructions. They’d look so much better in color!
Right now I go to the library to print stuff at 10¢ per page – no duplex, no color. And of course I ave to dribe there. Think of all the money I could save :-)
Thanks for the giveaway!
My life would be easier with this since I doubt its as bad as my current one
This printer would make my life easier, because the printer we have right now, only prints. This HP printer scans and copies, which would really help me out. Right now, if I need a copy, I go to our local grocery store or staples store. This would really save me a number of trips, not to mention dimes.
Thanks so much for offering this wonderful prize!
The HP Photosmart C6380 All-In-One Printer would definitely make my crazy life easier. My son’s always need photos for their school projects and sometimes they don’t tell me they need them until the night before, when it’s to let to go to the store and use one of the photo machines.
A photo printer would cut down on wasted pictures that do not print right.
The wireless feature would be great, we could all use the printer without having to take turns hooking up to it.
i dont currently have a photo printer, but would LOVE one!!!!
i could only imagine all the cool things i could do with one.
I have so many pictures stored in my PC that aren’t printed. If I could use this to print them out I could actually print them out and show them to people!
This would be such an upgrade for my wife’s computer. I use my laptop so this would be awesome for both of us. Thanks for the giveaway.
Wow! To have one printer that can print out photos, letters, flyers and just about anything that we could possibly be need would be fantastic!
We have 3 computers in the house and I need to be able to print from all of them. The only problem is I have an older 3 in 1 printer that cannot be shared. This would be an awesome blessing.
I would like this printer for a friend of mine, I’m sure she would enjoy scanning and printing pictures
I can really use this printer. Mine died months ago and I have tons of things I have saved just waiting to be printed. Including the labels for my candle tarts that I have had designed for months and cannot use yet.
iheartsweeping@aol.com
Our family would so much love this printer,we can get rid of all the cables cluttering around behind the desk, save gas and trips to get copies made. We all share 1 printer, the kids put their homework on a USB drive and we print from 1 computer. I like all the capabilities of the compact flash and memory stick.
It would make my life much easier and be so conveneient to have a wireless printer so I could make more room in my desk area and not have a printer chained to my computer. It would also be nice to have the great features (scanning, copying, etc) and good photo quality.
Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!
My printer died just this morning and already I’m lost! I don’t have a lot of funds so I was thinking of getting an inexpensive printer but this would be an outstanding plus!
I would love to have this printer. I would like to help my sister with the huge family genealogy project she’s working on. Also, I am about five years behind on my scrapbooking (gee I hope it’s only five and not eight) and currently have to schelp my laptop to the office to print. Trying not to trip over the dog and cats along the way is something of a challenge!
I so need this. With 2 small children it would make it so much easier to print the things I need.
I would love this color printer. I have only a black and white laser printer. I don’t know of the times I wanted to print something in color!

It’s wireless, prints, scans & copies??? Will the wonders never cease? I’m dreaming of the day I get to print decent photos without a trip to the store or waiting on the post!
I could definitely use this. It seems I’m always needing to print something out and I have to go to a local store and pay to have it done. It’d also be great to print my own cards out with and scan some photos. Thanks.

WIRELESS IS GREAT TO HAVE.
my all in one died, I can no longer send or receive faxes, it won’t print from my computer anymore either, the only thing it will do is make copies, not doing me much good that way. Thanks for the chance to win!
I would really like to use this to scan some older photos.
This would make my life easier because we print from both family computers without having to copy and move files to the computer with a printer.
I would like this printer to help with my volunteer efforts for my little pet rescue group. I do their website and all their desktop publishing. Thank you so much for the opportunity!
Wow, you cannot imagine how this would make my life easier. Right now I have to drive over to my mother’s house whenever I need to print stuff since my printed died last month. Thank you for the chance to win.
I could really use a printer/fax. I go in to work sometimes just to use the fax or printer. Having my own would make things easier.
I could use a printer that doesn’t take 20 minutes and a dozen adjustments and a few fervent prayers to load paper.
This would simplify everything for me. Currently my scanner is in the closet. I have to connect it every time I need to use it. If I need copies, I run to our local printshop lugging my 2 little boys.
Boy…this sure would save me a lot of time, hassels and energy!
The all-in-one would be great to eliminate all of the cords and save space. Count me in!
anything that does 3 things in 1 is something i can use
This printer would make my life easier in many ways. I wouldn’t have to take my pictures to be developed. The wireless would be great because we have way too many wires as it is. Alos my current printer is broke and I don’t have one at all.
love the wireless aspect and the fact I do not have to send links to my husband to print this or that coupon
Our printer is about to die and I work from home! UGH! The stress that my current printer gives me daily is about to drive me mad! A new nice printer like this one would be a dream come true!
My husband wouldn’t be yelling “Dang it!” when his printer doesn’t work!
I LOVE HP!! All in one’s are the greatest. I have been hooked on them for about 12 yrs..my last one was bought about 6 yrs ago.
I really need a better one for the photos and the wireless features, that will save me bucks. Thanks so much for the great giveaway.
The HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier would give me so much more than my old single printer. I would no longer have to run to the office supply store for scanning photos and documents. Thank you!!
I would print pictures of my grandchildren I receive as Email
I don’t have a printer. ach. I feel so worthless. I would print out my novel so I could do a hard-copy read-through.
I would be able to print my digital photos without procrastinating and eventually not ordering them at all.
I miss out on sharing alot of pics that way.
It’s wireless and I won’t have tobother with a bunch or cords. I’m really bad at that
I would love to win this, it would make life easier because we don’t have a printer, and my kids always have to borrow someone elses computers to print their papers.
life would be easier without having three seperate pieces of equipment…and wireless…well it wouldn’t have to clutter the desk
This state of the art HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer, Scanner & Copier will make my life easier in so many ways. Right now I do not have a working printer. I have a great friend who is also a neighbor and she has been letting me come over to her home to use her printer, but it is not convenient for her or me. It involves my taking so many extra steps in order to get my printing done, and it is embarrassing for me to have to admit to her that we can’t afford to purchase our own printer right now. I have been trying to get my own small home business started which is selling my artwork which is digital art that I have created using fractals and the original files are my original photography and my not having a printer has been my biggest hurdle in getting my business started off on the right foot. I guess when you hear the term struggling artist, I may a good example of that! But, you do what you need to do in order to get the work done and in my case it is printing the output so I can show examples of my work to prospective buyers. Luckily I have a kind and generous friend who has been helping out, but it is not an effective, quick and easily method for me to use when trying to print quality output that will truly showcase my artwork in the best possible light. I know there are so many people posting here that need this printer just as much as myself, so all I can do is speak from the heart and say this printer/copier/scanner is something that I truly need and will truly help me to print my artwork and get my business back on track and moving forward. Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter.
I would make my like easier because I would have a printer that works! My scan doesn’t work on mine and other features don’t work either.
my printer is really old and doesn’t work to well anymnore. a new one would be great.
It would be great to have a working printer again. I’m really tired of asking friends for printing favors – and I’m sure they are tired of it too! Thanks for the giveaway.
We don’t have a printer. We have made do without one. Sure could use this
Two computers, one printer – reason enough!
My printer is from the dark ages. It would be so great to have one that is new with lots of bells and whistles. Thanks for the opportunity.
This printer would make my life easier simply because it is wireless and our current printer is not. With 3 computers in the house, it makes it a pain to print from the other two! Thanks for having the giveaway!
My daughter is a violinist and we are constantly running to Kinko’s to copy sheet music so she can scribble in her fingerings and bowings! This would be incredible!
This sounds like a wonderful printer! If I want to print something from my laptop, I have to lug my printer into the room I am working in to print. The wireless feature sounds like awesome!! No more lugging my old printer around, I can just print. Thanks for the great contest!
Two reasons I need to win this printer: 1) I won’t have to email and print things at my sister’s house and 2) I will be able to finally print photos from my digital camera. I take LOTS of photos but they never get printed. :)
It would mean no more having to go to Staples to send a fax.
This printer would allow me to print pictures for scrapbooking and allow my daughter to be able to print her school work.
Not only does it print, but I wouldn’t have to run to Kinko’s everytime I needed a copy.
I have a crate of medical records and documents relating to my wife’s illness that I have to carry whenever they send us to a new specialist…I would love to scan these and carry them around on a little keychain drive.
I need a new printer because my two year old thought it would be a wonderful idea to give my old printer a bath.
I work a little from home and I constantly have to spend some of my own money to make copies and to scan documents – this would sure help me a lot, thanks for the opportunity.
My printer is ancient — so not only is it slow but it also jams often, which can be frustrating! This year I’ll be writing my dissertation, so winning this printer would make my life easier by reducing the stress I’d experience when I’m printing out the countless number of drafts (hundreds of pages each!) while I’m finishing it. Thanks for the chance to win!
gkaufmanss@yahoo.com
This would make my life easier because I don’t even have a printer in the first place. If I had this, it would be more convenient.
txhottie_86 at yahoo dot com
That would be a great printer to have! I will be able to finally print photos from my digital camera.
Besides everything it can do, isn’t winning better than buying?
Wow, this would be great! We have an OLD NOISY printer that does nothing but jam. I would love this and it would remove some of the stress my hubby has…making everyone’s life easier in Yelm Washington.
It would make my life easier by allowing me to put the printer on my desk, across the room from my cpu. I have a small office so wireless would be great. I currently have to move my printer which is connected to my cpu with wires, to get into my closet.
It would make my life easier if i won this HP printer. My current printer will not work with my browser. I would love to loose the aggravation and get a new printer.
We have at least 3 computers in the house (sometimes more if people are visiting). It is a major pain having to drag a laptop into the computer room and hook up just to print off a coupon or something. This way everyone could print from where they are without having to kick a kid off the desktop.
I only have a color printer at work and I’m always toting files back and forth. Would be so great to have one at home!
I really NEED a scanner. I own a small business and my scanner doesnt work with Vista :(
this would put everything into one machines…my scanner is going so this would help me..thanks for the great giveaway
It would make my life easier because I wouldn’t spend my valuable time begging my printer to JUST PRINT! Don’t play games…just print for me. Yes, it has a mind of its own and it isn’t pretty.
